SCENE 1 — TURKS, BEACH RESORT

The beautiful Turks beach is filled with sunshine, music, laughter, and people enjoying their vacation. Everyone seems to be having a wonderful time, but Shayla is not enjoying herself. She sits away from the others, looking toward the ocean with a worried expression.

WAYNE

“Shayla, are you okay? You don’t seem like yourself today.”

Shayla looks at Wayne and gives him a small smile, trying to hide how uncomfortable she feels.

SHAYLA

“I’m fine. I just have a lot on my mind.”

Wayne notices that Shayla still doesn’t look comfortable. Instead of leaving her alone, he decides to help her get away from the noise and crowd.

WAYNE

“Come on. Let’s get away from everyone for a little while. Maybe the beach will help you relax.”

Shayla hesitates for a moment before finally agreeing. The two of them slowly walk toward the quieter part of the beach.

SCENE 2 — THE QUIET BEACH

The sound of the waves fills the air. The busy resort feels far away as Wayne and Shayla walk beside the water. Slowly, Shayla begins to relax.

WAYNE

“See? I told you this would help.”

Shayla looks toward the ocean and takes a deep breath.

SHAYLA

“I actually feel a little better now.”

Wayne smiles, happy that Shayla is finally beginning to feel comfortable.

WAYNE

“That’s all I wanted. I just wanted you to feel okay.”

For a moment, neither of them speaks. The conversation then becomes more personal.

WAYNE

“Iman walked away from you. He had someone special in front of him, but he didn’t appreciate what he had.”

Shayla looks down. The mention of Iman brings back emotions she had been trying to forget.

SHAYLA

“Wayne, I don’t really want to talk about Iman.”

Wayne nods but continues trying to encourage her.

WAYNE

“I understand. But sometimes people don’t realize someone’s value until it’s too late.”

SCENE 3 — AN UNEXPECTED CONNECTION

Shayla looks at Wayne, surprised by how seriously he is speaking to her. She knows that the conversation is becoming more emotional than she expected.

SHAYLA

“Why are you saying all this to me?”

Wayne pauses before answering.

WAYNE

“Because I care about you.”

Shayla looks surprised. She isn’t sure how to respond.

“Wayne, this is complicated.”

WAYNE

“I know.”

SHAYLA

“Everyone is here together. Anthony is here. I don’t want problems.”

Wayne agrees that the situation is complicated, and Shayla decides that it may be better to return to the resort.

“Maybe we should go back.”

They slowly walk back toward the resort, unaware that Anthony has already begun wondering where Shayla has gone.

SCENE 4 — BACK AT THE ROOM

Wayne brings Shayla back to the room so she can rest. Shayla sits down while Wayne stays nearby.

WAYNE

“You should take some time to relax.”

SHAYLA

“Thank you for checking on me.”

WAYNE

“You’re welcome.”

The atmosphere becomes increasingly uncomfortable because both of them realize that their conversation has crossed into very personal territory.

SHAYLA

“Wayne, I don’t know if this is a good idea.”

Wayne immediately gives her space.

WAYNE

“Then we don’t have to do anything. I don’t want you to feel pressured.”

Shayla nods. Before they can continue the conversation, footsteps suddenly echo outside the room.

SCENE 5 — ANTHONY STARTS SEARCHING

Meanwhile, Anthony has noticed that Shayla has been gone for a long time. He looks around the resort, becoming increasingly concerned.

ANTHONY

“Where did Shayla go?”

Nobody seems to know where she is. Anthony checks the beach, but Shayla isn’t there anymore. He then walks back toward the rooms.

As he approaches the hallway, Anthony notices that one of the doors is partly closed. He hears voices coming from inside.

Anthony stops walking.

His expression suddenly changes.

ANTHONY

“Wait a minute…”

Anthony slowly walks toward the door, wondering who is inside.

SCENE 6 — ANTHONY WALKS IN

Anthony pushes the door open and sees Wayne and Shayla together.

Anthony’s face immediately becomes angry.

ANTHONY

“Shayla!”

Shayla turns around in shock.

SHAYLA

“Anthony…”

Wayne looks toward the doorway.

WAYNE

“Anthony, calm down.”

Anthony steps into the room, clearly upset.

ANTHONY

“Calm down? I’ve been looking everywhere for Shayla!”

Shayla quickly tries to explain what happened.

SHAYLA

“Anthony, nothing is what you think.”

Anthony looks from Shayla to Wayne.

ANTHONY

“Then tell me what I’m supposed to think!”

SCENE 7 — THE TRUTH COMES OUT

Wayne tries to explain the situation before things become even more heated.

WAYNE

“She wasn’t feeling good, so I took her to the beach. That’s how all of this started.”

Anthony shakes his head.

ANTHONY

“And then she ends up here with you?”

Shayla steps forward and tries to calm everyone down.

SHAYLA

“Anthony, Wayne was talking to me and helping me because I wasn’t feeling okay.”

Anthony looks at her seriously.

ANTHONY

“You could have told me where you were.”

Shayla lowers her eyes.

SHAYLA

“I know. I’m sorry.”

SCENE 8 — THE BIG QUESTION

Anthony takes a deep breath and tries to control his emotions.

ANTHONY

“Shayla, I just want the truth.”

Shayla looks at both men. She realizes that whatever she says next could completely change the situation.

SHAYLA

“I never wanted this situation to happen.”

Anthony remains silent. Wayne also waits for Shayla to continue.

Finally, Anthony turns toward the door.

ANTHONY

“We’re going to talk about this later.”

Anthony walks away, leaving Shayla standing in the room with Wayne.

Shayla watches him disappear down the hallway. Her expression shows that she knows this conversation is far from over.

Wayne looks at her.

WAYNE

“Are you okay?”

Shayla doesn’t answer immediately. She simply continues staring toward the doorway.
