THE LAST WARNING

Larry discovers the truth behind Sharra’s mother’s arrest.

The Truth Comes Out

The room was tense and unusually quiet. Bethany stood near the couch, avoiding Larry’s eyes. Larry could immediately sense that something was wrong. He had been trying to understand how Sharra’s mother ended up in police custody, and now he was convinced that Bethany knew more than she was admitting.

Larry slowly walked toward her. His face was filled with anger, but his voice remained controlled.

LARRY:
“Why did you turn Sharra’s mom over to the police? Who told you to do this?”

Bethany immediately looked away. She knew Larry was serious, but she still tried to hide the truth.

BETHANY:
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. I didn’t call the police.”

Larry stared at her. He knew she was not telling him everything.

LARRY:
“Don’t lie to me, Bethany. Sharra’s mother was arrested because someone called the police. And I know you know something about it.”

Bethany became nervous. She tried to maintain her story, but Larry continued questioning her. His repeated questions slowly broke down her defenses.

After a long silence, Bethany finally admitted that she knew what had happened.

BETHANY:
“I didn’t want things to go this far. I never thought she would actually get arrested.”

Larry’s expression changed immediately.

LARRY:
“So you knew about it?”

Bethany slowly nodded.

BETHANY:
“Yes.”

Larry stepped back in disbelief. He had expected an explanation, but he had not expected Bethany to admit that she was involved.

LARRY:
“Then who told you to do it?”

Bethany hesitated. Her eyes filled with tears.

BETHANY:
“My father.”

Larry froze.

LARRY:
“Mr. Newberger?”

Bethany nodded slowly. She finally explained everything.

BETHANY:
“He told me that Sharra was always treating me badly. He said this was my chance to get revenge on her.”

Larry shook his head in disbelief. He could not understand how Bethany had allowed her father to influence such a serious decision.

LARRY:
“And you listened to him?”

Bethany lowered her head.

BETHANY:
“I was angry. I wasn’t thinking clearly.”

Larry turned away for a moment. He was trying to control his emotions, but the anger inside him was growing.

LARRY:
“So because you were angry, you called the police and had Sharra’s mother arrested?”

Bethany remained silent.

Her silence was enough of an answer.

Larry was deeply disappointed. He realized that this was no longer just a disagreement between two families. Someone had deliberately interfered in a situation that could affect everyone involved.

LARRY:
“I can’t believe this.”

Bethany began crying.

BETHANY:
“Larry, I’m sorry.”

Larry looked at her with disappointment.

LARRY:
“Sorry? Do you understand what you’ve done?”

Bethany could not answer.

Larry grabbed his jacket and prepared to leave.

LARRY:
“I’m going to talk to your father.”

Bethany immediately became worried.

BETHANY:
“Larry, please don’t.”

Larry opened the door and looked back at her.

LARRY:
“He started this. Now he’s going to hear from me.”

Larry Confronts Mr. Newberger

Later that evening, Larry arrived at Mr. Newberger’s house. He walked toward the front door with determination and knocked firmly.

Moments later, Mr. Newberger opened the door. His expression changed when he saw Larry standing there.

MR. NEWBERGER:
“Larry? What are you doing here?”
LARRY:
“We need to talk about Sharra’s mother.”

Mr. Newberger immediately became cautious.

LARRY:
“You told Bethany to call the police, didn’t you?”

Mr. Newberger remained silent for a moment.

MR. NEWBERGER:
“Yes.”

Larry stared at him in disbelief before his anger erupted.

LARRY:
“How dare you interfere in our family matters?”

Mr. Newberger tried to defend himself.

MR. NEWBERGER:
“I did what I thought was necessary. Sharra is always fighting with my daughter.”

Larry immediately rejected his excuse.

LARRY:
“That doesn’t give you the right to interfere with our family.”

The two men stared at each other. Neither wanted to back down.

The confrontation reached its breaking point. Larry had come to make one thing clear: Mr. Newberger would no longer be allowed to control decisions inside Larry and Bethany’s marriage.

LARRY:
“This is your last warning.”

Mr. Newberger looked at him carefully.

LARRY:
“If you interfere in our family matters again, I will divorce Bethany.”

Mr. Newberger’s eyes widened.

MR. NEWBERGER IS SHOCKED

He never expected Larry to threaten divorce because of his interference.

MR. NEWBERGER:
“You would really divorce my daughter?”
LARRY:
“If you continue interfering in our marriage, yes.”

Mr. Newberger stood frozen in the doorway. He had expected Larry to argue with him, but he had never expected such a serious consequence.

Larry turned around and began walking away.

LARRY:
“I hope you understand me, because there will not be another warning.”

Larry walked away without looking back.

Mr. Newberger remained standing at the door, completely shocked. His face showed a mixture of anger, fear, and disbelief.

THE CONSEQUENCES HAVE BEGUN

Mr. Newberger had interfered in Bethany’s marriage to help her get revenge on Sharra. But now his actions had put his own daughter’s marriage at risk.
