The morning is quiet and peaceful. Soft sunlight shines through the windows as SHARRA moves around her house, still deeply worried about her missing mother. She looks exhausted, distracted, and emotionally drained after everything that has happened.

Suddenly—

The sound of the doorbell breaks the silence.

Sharra freezes.

She slowly walks toward the front door, wondering who could possibly be visiting this early in the morning. She takes a deep breath and opens the door.

Standing outside are TWO POLICE OFFICERS.

Sharra looks at them with surprise and concern.

Her voice is filled with hope and fear at the same time. She steps closer to the officers.

Sharra immediately starts thinking about everyone who could possibly be involved. Her voice becomes suspicious.

Sharra steps away from the officers and begins processing what she has just heard. Her breathing becomes heavier. Her face turns serious.

She looks toward the officers again.

The officer calmly explains that the call provided information concerning her mother and her situation. But Sharra is no longer listening carefully. Her mind is racing. She starts asking herself questions.

• Why would Dre call the police?
• What did he know?
• Was he trying to protect my mother… or was he trying to cause trouble?

The officers prepare to leave. Before walking away, one of them looks back at Sharra.
