Bethany and Sharra — The Arrest
Scene 1 — Bethany’s Fear
The house is unusually quiet. Bethany sits alone on the edge of her bed, staring at her phone. Her hands tremble slightly as she remembers Sharra’s angry words.
Bethany knows Sharra blames her for what happened to her mother.
“Sharra thinks I called the police on her mother. She thinks I’m responsible for everything.”
Bethany lowers her eyes and takes a deep breath.
“But I didn’t do that. And now she’s threatening me.”
A sudden noise outside makes Bethany turn toward the door. For a moment, she freezes.
Her fear grows. Bethany realizes that she cannot ignore the situation anymore.
“I need to protect myself before something happens.”
Scene 2 — The Police Station
Bethany arrives at the police station. She walks inside nervously and approaches an officer sitting behind a desk.
“Ma’am, how can I help you?”
Bethany takes a seat. Her voice is shaky, but she tries to remain calm.
“I’m here because I’m afraid for my life.”
“Afraid of someone? Who?”
Bethany hesitates before answering.
“Sharra.”
The officer begins taking notes.
“Tell me exactly what happened.”
“Sharra believes that I called the police and had her mother arrested. Because of that, she’s extremely angry with me.”
“Her mother was already in jail, and I was trying to handle the case. But Sharra blamed me for everything.”
“She threatened me. Now I believe she’s trying to hurt me.”
“Did she directly threaten you?”
“Yes. And I’m scared that her anger is going to turn into something much worse.”
The officer writes down every detail.
“We’ll document your statement and look into the situation.”
Scene 3 — The Report
The officer begins preparing the report. Bethany watches quietly as he types the information into the system.
The room is silent except for the sound of the keyboard.
“I just want to feel safe.”
“We understand. Your statement will be included in the report.”
Bethany nods. The officer finishes writing and reviews the report carefully.
“We’re going to investigate the allegations and take the appropriate action.”
Bethany stands up.
“Thank you.”
Scene 4 — Sharra’s House
Later that day, a police vehicle pulls up outside Sharra’s house. Sharra is inside, completely unaware of what is happening.
There is a knock at the door. Sharra opens it. Her expression immediately changes when she sees the police officer.
“What’s going on?”
“Sharra, we need to speak with you about a complaint that has been filed.”
“A complaint? From who?”
“We need you to come with us.”
Sharra’s face hardens when she learns that the complaint concerns alleged threats against Bethany.
“Bethany!”
“She’s lying!”
“You can explain your side of the story during the investigation.”
“I didn’t try to kill anybody!”
The officer asks Sharra to cooperate. Sharra reluctantly steps outside.
“Bethany is trying to destroy me.”
Scene 5 — Inside the Jail
Sharra arrives at the jail. The heavy doors close behind her. She walks through the corridor, still trying to understand how everything happened so quickly.
“They believe her.”
“Who?”
“Bethany.”
“She told the police that I was trying to hurt her.”
“Did you?”
“No!”
Her voice echoes through the corridor.
“I was angry. Yes, I was furious about my mother. But I never tried to kill Bethany.”
Sharra sits down, overwhelmed by everything that has happened.
“She knows exactly what she’s doing.”
Scene 6 — Outside the Jail
Outside the jail, Bethany stands near the entrance. She watches the building silently.
A small smile appears on her face. Bethany knows that Sharra is now behind bars.
“Now you know what happens when you threaten me.”
Bethany folds her arms and looks toward the jail doors.
Inside the jail, Sharra is still furious. Outside, Bethany continues standing there, watching the building.
The two women are now on opposite sides of the situation. Bethany believes she has protected herself. Sharra believes she has been betrayed.
Neither woman is willing to back down.
“This isn’t over.”
Bethany walks away from the jail.
The camera slowly moves back toward the locked doors. Behind them, Sharra sits in silence, her eyes filled with anger.
“Bethany… you have no idea what you’ve started.”
