Bethany Finally Loses Her Patience
For days, tension had been building inside Bethany’s house. The ongoing conflict involving Larry, Brooke, Sharra, and Sharra’s mother had turned every conversation into an argument. Bethany felt that nobody was listening to her anymore. In her mind, Larry was constantly defending people she believed were against her, while Brooke seemed to question everything she said.
Larry, on the other hand, believed Bethany was becoming increasingly controlling. He wanted to support the people he cared about without being forced to choose sides. Brooke also felt caught in the middle. She loved her father but was tired of seeing him constantly argue with Bethany.
The Argument Explodes
One evening, another heated conversation began. Bethany looked at Larry and Brooke, already frustrated by everything that had happened. She felt that the two of them were always suspicious of her intentions.
“You both are always doubting me,” Bethany said angrily. “No matter what I do, you think I’m the problem.”
Larry tried to calm the situation, but Bethany continued. She reminded him that he had repeatedly supported his ex-wife and now, according to Bethany, he was even getting involved in helping Sharra’s mother.
“You always support your ex-wife,” Bethany said. “And now you’re supporting Sharra’s mother too. Do you even know what kind of person she is? You know she has a criminal past!”
“Then Get Out of My House!”
Larry stood quietly as Bethany’s anger grew. Brooke also remained nearby, shocked by how quickly the argument had escalated.
Bethany finally reached her breaking point.
“If you and Brooke are going to support someone you believe is a criminal, then neither of you has a place in my house!” she shouted. “Get out! Both of you, leave my house right now!”
The room suddenly became silent. Even Bethany seemed surprised by the words that had just come out of her mouth. But Larry did not argue with her. Instead, he looked at Brooke and realized that staying would only make the situation worse.
Larry Makes a Painful Decision
Larry calmly told Bethany that if she truly wanted them gone, he would respect her decision.
“You can stay here alone,” Larry said. “Brooke and I are leaving.”
Brooke gathered her things while Larry prepared to walk out. Bethany stood there, still angry, watching the two of them move toward the door.
For a moment, she expected Larry to turn around and argue with her. She expected him to defend himself or tell her that she had gone too far. Instead, Larry simply walked away with Brooke.
That silence hurt Bethany more than another argument would have.
Bethany Regrets Her Words
As Larry reached the door, Bethany’s anger slowly began to disappear. She watched him leave and suddenly realized the seriousness of what she had said.
“What did I just do?” Bethany whispered to herself.
She knew she had spoken out of anger. Deep down, she did not actually want Larry to leave. She certainly did not want to lose him over an argument involving Sharra’s mother.
Bethany looked toward the door, hoping Larry might come back. But he was already walking away with Brooke.
“How am I supposed to stop him now?” she wondered.
For the first time, Bethany began questioning whether her anger had pushed Larry too far. She had wanted him to understand her feelings, but instead she had given him a reason to walk away.
The Suspenseful Ending
Outside the house, Larry and Brooke continued walking without looking back. Brooke could tell that her father was deeply upset, but Larry remained quiet.
Inside, Bethany stood alone near the doorway. Her anger had completely disappeared, replaced by regret and fear that she might have just destroyed her relationship with Larry.
She finally reached for her phone. Her finger hovered over Larry’s name.
Should she call him and apologize? Would Larry answer after what she had said? Or had he finally reached the point where he was ready to leave Bethany for good?
Bethany took a deep breath and pressed Larry’s name.
But just before the call connected, Larry looked at Brooke and said something that could change everything…
