Larry Walks In and Catches Them Together!
Scene 1: An Unexpected Attraction
The front door opens as Dre arrives at Bethany’s house. The moment he sees Bethany, he finds himself unexpectedly attracted to her.
Bethany smiles slightly, but her thoughts turn toward Larry. She has spent so much time feeling unwanted in her marriage that Dre’s attention begins to affect her.
Bethany looks away, thinking about his words. Instead of stepping back, she begins entertaining a dangerous thought.
Scene 2: Bethany Questions Her Marriage
Bethany walks toward the window while Dre remains nearby. Her thoughts become increasingly complicated.
She remembers their arguments, the disappointments, and the times she felt rejected by her own husband. Her frustration slowly turns into resentment.
Bethany knows that acting on her feelings could have serious consequences. For a moment, she considers asking Dre to leave. Instead, she makes another decision.
Dre hesitates briefly, then follows her down the hallway. Neither of them realizes how close they are to being discovered.
Scene 3: Behind the Bedroom Door
Bethany enters her bedroom with Dre following behind her. She closes the door, leaving the rest of the house quiet. The atmosphere changes as they stand facing each other.
Bethany reaches for Dre’s hand. For a few seconds, they stand silently, both aware that they are crossing a boundary. Then Bethany leans toward Dre, and he responds to her closeness.
They embrace and continue their private romantic encounter, completely unaware that Larry is about to return home. Bethany knows that what she is doing could destroy whatever remains of her marriage, but she pushes that thought aside.
Scene 4: Larry Returns Home Early
The front door opens. Larry walks inside after finishing his work at the office. He looks tired and eager to return to his usual routine.
There is no answer. Larry frowns slightly and walks farther into the house.
When he hears nothing, Larry decides to head toward their bedroom. As he approaches the hallway, he notices that the bedroom door is closed.
Still, there is no clear response. He slowly turns the handle and opens the door. Then he stops.
Inside the room, Larry sees Bethany with Dre, Sharra’s former partner, in a romantic embrace. For several seconds, Larry cannot process what he is witnessing.
Bethany immediately pulls away from Dre. Her face loses its color as she turns toward the doorway.
Dre steps back, realizing there is no way to explain away what Larry has just seen.
Bethany looks desperately at Dre, hoping he will say something that might calm the situation. But Dre remains silent.
Dre falls silent again. Bethany’s eyes fill with tears as Larry struggles to control his anger.
Scene 5: Bethany Tries to Defend Herself
Bethany takes a cautious step toward Larry. His anger is obvious, but beneath it lies a deeper sense of betrayal.
Bethany wipes away a tear and tries to explain herself.
Bethany looks down. Dre finally steps toward the door, realizing that his presence is only making things worse.
Dre looks toward Bethany, but she cannot meet his eyes. He walks toward the door.
Larry steps aside, allowing Dre to leave without another word. The bedroom door remains open. Larry and Bethany are finally alone, but the silence between them feels heavier than any argument they have ever had.
Scene 6: The Marriage Reaches a Breaking Point
Larry slowly turns back toward Bethany. His anger is still there, but beneath it lies a deeper sense of betrayal.
Larry looks away, trying to control his emotions.
Bethany reaches toward him, but Larry steps back.
Larry walks toward the bedroom door. Bethany follows him with her eyes, desperate to stop him from leaving.
Larry walks out, leaving Bethany alone in the bedroom. She sinks onto the edge of the bed, overwhelmed by the consequences of her decision.
She had convinced herself that Larry no longer wanted her and that Dre’s attention would make her feel better. Instead, she may have pushed her marriage toward its breaking point.
