Chapter 1: Angelina’s Plan for Revenge

After returning home from their trip, Angelina and Shayla finally had a chance to sit down and discuss everything that had happened. Both women were tired of the problems surrounding their lives, but Angelina had something important on her mind. She believed that they could no longer sit quietly while Anthony continued living his life without facing the consequences of his actions.

Angelina looked directly at Shayla and said, “We have only one option left now. We need to take legal action against Anthony, just like Amber did. If Amber could take him to court, why can’t we do the same thing?”

Shayla looked surprised by Angelina’s suggestion. She knew that taking someone to court was a serious decision, especially when that person was the father of her son, Kai. However, Angelina was determined to convince her that legal action could be their best chance to make Anthony take responsibility.

“You need to tell the court that Anthony has not been properly supporting his son, Kai,” Angelina continued. “You should explain the situation honestly and provide whatever evidence you have about the financial support he has or has not provided. He cannot simply ignore his responsibilities forever.”

Shayla became quiet as she thought about Angelina’s words. She had been struggling with the situation for a long time, and the thought of confronting Anthony in court made her nervous. But Angelina believed that this was their opportunity to make him take the matter seriously.

Shayla looked at Angelina with renewed interest. She remembered how much tension the earlier legal dispute had created for Anthony. He had not wanted the situation to become more complicated, and the pressure had pushed him to make a payment.

Angelina continued, “Our goal is to make Anthony understand that he cannot keep avoiding difficult conversations. Kai deserves to have his needs taken seriously. If there is a genuine issue concerning financial support, the court can examine the evidence and decide what is fair.”

Shayla slowly nodded. She realized that Angelina was not simply suggesting another argument with Anthony. She was proposing a legal battle that could change their relationship with him forever.

“You know what?” Shayla finally said. “I think your idea is good. I’m tired of worrying about what Anthony will do next. If this is the right way to address the situation, then I’m ready to consider it.”

Angelina smiled, believing that she had finally convinced Shayla to stand up for herself. Neither woman realized how quickly their decision would turn into a new crisis.

The following morning, Angelina helped Shayla begin the process of taking legal action against Anthony. “Oh my God, Anthony! Is Shayla taking you to court now?” D’Nisha exclaimed.

Anthony rubbed his forehead, struggling to process the situation. He had hoped that the problems involving Amber were finally behind him. He had worked hard to move forward and build a stable future with D’Nisha, but now it seemed that another legal dispute was about to turn his life upside down.

D’Nisha looked at him anxiously and asked, “What are we going to do now? We struggled so much to get away from the problems with Amber. We thought that chapter of our lives was finally over. How can we be dealing with another court case already?”
