Warm afternoon sunlight pours through the large windows.
DAVE stands behind his desk, reviewing several business contracts.
The office door suddenly opens.
WAYNE walks inside.
His expression is cold and serious.
Dave looks up, surprised.
Wayne slowly walks toward the desk.
He places a thick folder of contracts on the table.
His face shows no emotion.
Dave looks at the folder.
He immediately senses that something is wrong.
Wayne opens the folder.
Several signed business agreements are visible.
Dave reaches for the papers.
Wayne pulls the folder back.
Dave stares at him.
Wayne takes a deep breath.

Outside the partially open office door, AMBER quietly watches.
She stays hidden.

Amber slowly enters.
Dave looks at her.

Dave looks toward the door Wayne just walked through.
Dave walks toward her.
She looks toward the hallway.

Her mind races.
She remembers the day she decided to leave Wayne’s podcast.
At the time, she believed she was simply making a career decision.
Amber looks surprised.
Amber sits down slowly.
She stares at the contracts scattered across the desk.
Dave doesn’t answer.
Amber’s expression becomes more determined.
She stands.
She grabs her purse.

INT. WAYNE’S OFFICE – LATE AFTERNOON
Wayne enters his office and drops the canceled contracts onto his desk.
He sits down.
For a moment, his anger fades.
He looks toward the window.
His phone rings.
Wayne checks the screen.
His expression hardens.
He lets the phone ring.
Outside the office, Amber stands in the hallway.
She looks at the phone in her hand.
No answer.
She takes a deep breath.
Then she knocks on Wayne’s door.
Wayne looks toward the door.
The door slowly opens.
Amber steps inside.
Wayne doesn’t smile.
Amber closes the door behind her.
Wayne leans back in his chair.
Amber looks directly at him.
Wayne’s expression remains cold.
Amber takes a step forward.
She gathers her courage.
Wayne stares at her.
Amber’s voice becomes emotional.
Wayne slowly stands.

He opens the office door.
