BOX 1: THE UNEXPECTED GIFT THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

The afternoon sun shone through the large windows of Wayne’s beautiful house. Wayne sat comfortably on the sofa with his longtime friend Dave. They were laughing and discussing their plans for the future.

Wayne could barely hide his excitement.

WAYNE: Dave, you won’t believe what happened today! Yaya has gifted me a brand-new car. I never expected her to do something so special for me.

DAVE: Seriously, Wayne? That’s amazing! You must be really happy.

WAYNE: I am. She has made me feel special, and I appreciate everything she’s doing for me.

Dave congratulated Wayne, but a strange expression briefly crossed his face. He looked around the expensive living room and then toward the hallway.

DAVE: Things are really working out for you lately, Wayne.

WAYNE: They are, and I hope things get better for everyone around me, too.

Neither man realized that their friendly conversation was about to become the beginning of a terrible day.

BOX 2: YAYA ENTERS THE LIVING ROOM

Yaya walked into the living room wearing a beautiful green dress. She smiled when she saw Wayne and Dave talking together.

YAYA: What are you two talking about? I could hear you laughing from the hallway.

WAYNE: We were talking about the car you gifted me. Dave still can’t believe you actually bought it for me!

YAYA: You deserve something special, Wayne. You’ve always been there for me.

Wayne gently held her hand and thanked her for the wonderful surprise. Yaya smiled before turning toward the hallway.

YAYA: I’m going to my bedroom for a little while. I need some quiet time.

WAYNE: Of course. I’ll come and see you later.

Yaya turned toward Dave.

YAYA: Enjoy your visit, Dave.

DAVE: Thank you, Yaya. Enjoy your afternoon.

She left the room. Wayne continued talking about the car, while Dave kept glancing toward the hallway.

BOX 3: DAVE MAKES A SUSPICIOUS EXCUSE

Several minutes later, Dave stood up from the sofa.

DAVE: Wayne, I’m going to use the bathroom. I’ll be back in a minute.

WAYNE: Sure. It’s down the hallway on the left.

DAVE: Thanks.

Dave walked away. But instead of turning toward the bathroom, he slowed down near the hallway and looked back at Wayne.

Wayne was busy looking at his phone. Seeing that his friend wasn’t paying attention, Dave quietly walked toward Yaya’s bedroom.

He stopped outside her door. The house was silent.

Dave knew he should knock and ask permission before entering, but he ignored that simple rule. He reached for the handle and opened the door.

Inside, Yaya was sitting near her bed, checking her phone.

DAVE: Yaya, we need to talk.

Yaya immediately turned around. Her expression changed when she realized that Dave had entered without knocking.

BOX 4: YAYA DISCOVERS DAVE IN HER BEDROOM

YAYA: Dave? What are you doing here? You should have knocked!

DAVE: Relax. I just need to talk to you privately.

YAYA: If you have something to say, you can say it from there. You can’t just walk into my room like this.

Dave took a step closer. Yaya immediately moved away from him.

DAVE: Wayne doesn’t need to know about every conversation we have.

YAYA: What are you talking about? Wayne is your friend. If you have something important to say, speak honestly.

Dave tried to continue the conversation, but Yaya became increasingly uncomfortable.

YAYA: Please stay where you are. I don’t want you coming any closer.

Dave ignored her request and approached again. Yaya stepped backward, determined to keep her distance.

YAYA: Dave, stop! I’m serious. You need to leave!

BOX 5: YAYA REFUSES TO LET DAVE CROSS THE LINE

Yaya raised her hand to signal that Dave should stop.

YAYA: I want you to leave my bedroom immediately!

DAVE: Yaya, just listen to me for a second.

YAYA: No! I told you to stop. You entered without permission, and now you’re ignoring me.

Dave glanced toward the door, then looked back at her.

DAVE: Why are you making such a big scene? I’m Wayne’s friend.

YAYA: Being Wayne’s friend doesn’t give you the right to disrespect me!

Yaya moved toward the doorway, hoping to get into the hallway. Dave’s behavior had frightened her, and she needed help.

YAYA: If you don’t leave right now, I’m calling Wayne!

Dave tried to respond, but Yaya raised her voice.

YAYA: WAYNE! PLEASE HELP ME!

Her desperate shout echoed through the house. In the living room, Wayne immediately stopped looking at his phone.

BOX 6: WAYNE HEARS YAYA SCREAMING FOR HELP

Wayne stood up immediately after hearing Yaya call his name.

WAYNE: Yaya? What’s wrong?

Another desperate shout came from the bedroom.

YAYA: WAYNE! HELP ME!

Wayne rushed toward the hallway. He remembered that Dave had said he was going to the bathroom, but the voice coming from Yaya’s room made him suspicious.

As he approached the bedroom, he noticed the door was partly open.

WAYNE: Yaya? I’m coming!

He pushed the door open and froze for a moment. Dave was standing much too close to Yaya, who was trying to move away from him.

Wayne’s expression changed instantly.

WAYNE: DAVE! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?

Dave turned around in shock. Yaya immediately moved toward Wayne.

YAYA: Wayne!

Wayne stepped between them, making it clear that Dave must not approach her again.

BOX 7: WAYNE CONFRONTS HIS BEST FRIEND

WAYNE: What are you doing in her bedroom, Dave? Answer me!

DAVE: Wayne, listen. This isn’t what you think.

WAYNE: Then explain why you’re here when you told me you were going to the bathroom!

Yaya stood beside Wayne, trying to calm herself.

YAYA: He came in without permission. I told him to leave, but he wouldn’t listen.

Wayne turned toward Yaya.

WAYNE: Are you okay? Did he hurt you?

YAYA: I’m okay now, but he frightened me. I kept telling him to stop.

Wayne faced Dave again.

WAYNE: I trusted you! I invited you into my house as my friend, and this is how you repay me?

DAVE: I can explain everything.

WAYNE: She told you to stop. You should have respected her!

Dave lowered his eyes. Wayne’s anger made it clear that their friendship was in serious danger.

BOX 8: YAYA REVEALS WHAT REALLY HAPPENED

Wayne turned toward Yaya and spoke gently.

WAYNE: Tell me exactly what happened. You don’t have to hide anything from me.

YAYA: I was sitting on my bed when Dave suddenly walked in. He didn’t knock or ask permission. I told him to leave me alone, but he kept coming closer.

Wayne listened carefully, refusing to interrupt.

YAYA: I became frightened and called your name because I didn’t know what else to do.

WAYNE: You did the right thing. You have every right to feel safe in your own home.

Yaya looked toward Dave, who was standing near the doorway.

YAYA: I never thought he would behave this way. I believed he respected you and your friendship.

WAYNE: Being my friend doesn’t excuse what he did.

Wayne made sure Dave remained at a distance before asking Yaya whether she wanted to call someone she trusted.

Yaya shook her head and looked toward the hallway.

YAYA: I just want him out of the house.

WAYNE: And that’s exactly what is going to happen.

BOX 9: DAVE TRIES TO JUSTIFY HIS BEHAVIOR

Dave raised his hands, hoping to calm Wayne down.

DAVE: Wayne, please. Don’t throw away our friendship over one mistake.

WAYNE: One mistake? You entered her room without permission and ignored her when she told you to leave!

DAVE: I didn’t think she would react like this.

Yaya immediately looked at him.

YAYA: I told you clearly to stop. Why should I have to explain that again?

WAYNE: The problem isn’t her reaction. The problem is that you ignored her boundaries.

Dave rubbed his forehead, searching for another excuse.

DAVE: We’ve known each other for years. Remember everything we’ve been through together?

WAYNE: I remember trusting you. That’s why your behavior hurts so much.

Dave looked at Yaya.

YAYA: An apology doesn’t erase what happened. You need to take responsibility.

For the first time that afternoon, Dave had no convincing answer.

BOX 10: WAYNE ORDERS DAVE TO LEAVE

Wayne pointed toward the hallway.

WAYNE: Take your things and leave my house. Right now.

DAVE: You’re serious? You’re really ending our friendship over this?

WAYNE: You should have thought about our friendship before ignoring Yaya when she told you to leave her alone.

Yaya stood beside Wayne.

YAYA: I don’t feel comfortable with you being here anymore. Please leave.

Dave looked from Yaya to Wayne, realizing that neither of them was willing to let him stay.

DAVE: I never expected the day to end like this.

WAYNE: Neither did I. But I won’t pretend nothing happened.

Dave walked into the hallway. Wayne followed at a distance to ensure he left without approaching Yaya again.

At the front door, Dave turned around one last time.

DAVE: I hope one day you’ll understand that I’m sorry.

WAYNE: Being sorry doesn’t mean you can demand forgiveness.

Dave walked outside, and Wayne closed the door behind him.

BOX 11: A PHONE CALL MAKES EVERYTHING WORSE

Outside Wayne’s house, Dave took out his phone. It suddenly rang, and an unfamiliar worry appeared on his face.

CALLER: Dave? What’s going on?

DAVE: Everything went wrong. Wayne caught me in Yaya’s bedroom.
