Bethany Returns to Her Own Divorce Party!
1. Background: Bethany Leaves Larry’s House
For weeks, Larry and Bethany’s relationship had been falling apart. Their marriage was filled with arguments, heartbreak, and painful misunderstandings. Bethany had tried desperately to save her relationship, but Larry had grown tired of their endless conflicts. With Brooke still in his life, the situation had become even more complicated.
Everything changed when Bethany finally left Larry’s house. Late at night, she packed her belongings and disappeared without telling Larry or Brooke where she was going. Brooke was relieved when she realized Bethany was gone. To her, Bethany’s departure meant that Larry could finally move forward without the constant drama surrounding his marriage.
But Brooke had no idea that Bethany’s departure might not be the end of the story. Before celebrating her victory, she decided to call two people who would be just as happy about the news: her mother, Sharra, and Lynette.
2. Brooke Plans a Special Surprise
Brooke picked up her phone and called Sharra first.
“Mom, I need you to come over to the house as soon as possible,” Brooke said excitedly. “I’ve got a huge surprise for you and Lynette. Trust me, you’re both going to love it!”
Sharra immediately became curious. “What kind of surprise are you talking about, Brooke?” she asked.
Brooke laughed. “I’m not telling you anything over the phone. Just bring Lynette and come over. You’ll understand everything when you get here.”
After ending the call, Brooke began preparing the house. She arranged decorations, organized food and drinks, and made sure everything was ready for the celebration. The house slowly transformed into a party venue, with a special theme that made her intentions unmistakable.
When Sharra and Lynette finally arrived, they stepped inside and looked around in surprise. The decorations, the food, and the atmosphere immediately caught their attention.
“Brooke, what is all this?” Lynette asked, looking at the decorations. “Are you throwing a party?”
Brooke smiled widely. “Yes! But this isn’t just any party. It’s a divorce party!”
3. The Truth About Bethany’s Departure
Sharra and Lynette exchanged confused looks. Brooke couldn’t hold back her excitement any longer.
“Bethany is gone!” she announced. “She left Larry’s house last night without telling anyone. She packed her bags and ran away. And now Larry is finally ready to move forward with the divorce.”
Sharra’s eyes widened. “Are you serious? Bethany actually left?”
“Absolutely!” Brooke replied. “Larry is preparing to divorce her, and I wanted to celebrate this moment. We don’t have to keep dealing with all the drama anymore. Bethany is out of our lives, and we can finally enjoy some peace.”
Lynette laughed with relief. “Well, if Larry has finally decided to end this marriage, then perhaps it’s time for everyone to move on.”
Sharra nodded in agreement. “Larry, if you’re serious about this decision, then I think you’re doing the right thing. You deserve a chance to be happy, and so does everyone else.”
Brooke was thrilled that both women supported her. The three began celebrating, talking, laughing, and enjoying the food she had prepared. They raised their glasses and toasted to what they believed was the beginning of a new chapter.
For the first time in a long while, Brooke felt as though everything was finally going her way. She believed Bethany was gone for good and that nothing could ruin their happiness.
But fate had something unexpected waiting for them.
4. Bethany Walks Into Her Own Divorce Party
While the celebration continued, the front door suddenly opened.
Bethany walked into the house.
She looked exhausted, and her eyes were swollen from crying. She had returned for a reason she hadn’t shared with anyone. Perhaps she had forgotten something important, or perhaps she had finally gathered the courage to face Larry and talk about their marriage one last time.
But the moment she entered the living room, she froze.
There were balloons, decorations, food, and drinks everywhere. Brooke stood beside Sharra and Lynette, all three laughing and celebrating. Then Bethany noticed the decorations that revealed the terrible truth: they were celebrating her divorce.
Her face went pale. She stared at the people who were enjoying themselves while her own life was falling apart.
“What’s going on here?” Bethany whispered.
The laughter stopped immediately. Brooke turned around and stared at her in disbelief. Sharra and Lynette exchanged uncomfortable glances, but neither woman immediately said anything.
Bethany’s eyes filled with tears as she slowly understood what the party meant.
“You people are celebrating my divorce?” she asked, her voice trembling. “My marriage is falling apart, and you’re throwing a party because of it?”
Brooke crossed her arms. “You left the house, Bethany. What did you expect us to do? Larry is ready to move on, and we’re celebrating the end of all this drama.”
Bethany looked at Brooke, then at Sharra and Lynette. Their happiness cut deeper than any argument ever could.
5. Bethany’s Heartbreaking Decision and a Shocking Twist
Bethany wiped her tears and forced herself to stand straight. Although her heart was breaking, she didn’t want to beg anyone for sympathy anymore.
“You know what?” she said quietly. “Today, I’m joining the divorce club too. Just like Sharra and Lynette, I’m going to have to accept that my marriage is ending. Maybe I was the only person who still believed there was something left to save.”
For a moment, nobody spoke.
Bethany looked around the room one last time. “I shouldn’t be here. I don’t belong in a house where people celebrate my pain.”
She turned toward the door, crying as she prepared to leave. Brooke watched her, believing she had finally won. Sharra and Lynette remained silent, but the sight of Bethany’s heartbreak made the celebration feel different.
Just as Bethany reached the doorway, a car pulled into the driveway.
Everyone turned toward the window.
Larry stepped out of the car, holding a document folder in his hand. He walked toward the front door, unaware that Bethany had returned or that a divorce party was taking place inside his house.
When Larry entered, he stopped dead in his tracks. His eyes moved from the decorations to Brooke, Sharra, and Lynette. Then he saw Bethany standing near the door with tears streaming down her face.
“Bethany? What are you doing here?” Larry asked in shock.
Bethany looked at the folder in his hand. “Are those the divorce papers, Larry?” she asked.
Larry didn’t answer immediately. Instead, he looked at Brooke with an expression nobody could understand.
Then he slowly opened the folder and pulled out a document.
“Before anyone celebrates,” Larry announced, “there’s something you all need to know. I didn’t come here to sign the divorce papers.”
Brooke’s smile disappeared. Sharra and Lynette stared at him in confusion, while Bethany held her breath.
Larry looked directly at Bethany and continued, “I came back because I discovered something about what happened last night—and it changes everything.”
But what did Larry discover? Was Bethany’s departure connected to a secret someone had been hiding? And would this shocking revelation destroy Brooke’s happiness forever?
To be continued…
