Isaiah’s Dangerous Plan: The Secret Behind Mariah’s Jealousy
One desperate attempt to save a relationship turns into a shocking betrayal.
1. The Silence That Broke Isaiah
Isaiah had spent days staring at his phone, hoping Mariah would finally call. His messages remained unanswered. Every attempt to arrange a meeting ended in silence. The woman who once laughed with him for hours now seemed determined to disappear from his life.
He replayed their last conversation again and again, searching for the moment everything had changed. Had he offended her? Was someone spreading rumors? The uncertainty was worse than an argument because he had no idea how to fix it.
Finally, Isaiah called Faith, one of his closest friends and Hope’s twin sister. “I don’t know what happened,” he admitted. “Mariah won’t even tell me why she’s upset. I just want a chance to talk.”
2. The Twins Offer a Risky Solution
Faith listened carefully before inviting Hope into the conversation. The sisters exchanged a knowing glance and began whispering. Isaiah heard a sudden laugh, then Faith returned to the phone with an unusual suggestion.
“We have an idea,” she said, “but you have to trust us.”
Hope explained their plan: the three of them would meet at a popular restaurant. Isaiah would act relaxed and cheerful, as though he were enjoying a special date with the twins. Meanwhile, Faith would find a reason to invite Mariah to the same place.
“She’ll see you having fun without her,” Hope said. “Maybe that will remind her how much she cares.”
Isaiah frowned. “You want me to make her jealous?”
“Only enough to get her talking,” Faith replied. Isaiah knew it was dishonest, but desperation clouded his judgment. After a long silence, he agreed.
3. A Perfect Evening With a Hidden Purpose
The following evening, Isaiah arrived at the restaurant wearing his favorite jacket. Hope and Faith were already waiting at a table near the entrance. Music drifted through the room, and the warm lighting made the gathering look surprisingly intimate.
Faith encouraged Isaiah to laugh while Hope complimented his appearance. They posed for pictures and spoke loudly enough for nearby customers to notice. Isaiah tried to play along, but every few seconds he looked toward the door.
“Relax,” Hope whispered. “If you look nervous, she’ll know something is wrong.”
Then Faith glanced at her phone. A message had arrived. “She’s almost here,” she announced.
Isaiah’s heart began pounding. He imagined Mariah walking over, asking questions, and finally telling him why she had pulled away. He had no idea that the evening was about to become much more complicated.
4. Mariah Walks Into the Trap
Mariah entered the restaurant expecting to meet Faith for an important conversation. Instead, she spotted Isaiah laughing between the two sisters. Hope leaned toward him while Faith smiled for another photograph.
Mariah stopped in the doorway. Her expression shifted from surprise to disbelief. She walked directly to their table.
“Isaiah, what exactly am I looking at?” she demanded.
Isaiah stood up, but Mariah continued before he could speak. “You tell me you miss me, and then I find you here pretending these girls are your dates? Do you think love is some kind of game?”
The restaurant fell quiet. Several customers turned toward them. Isaiah’s face burned with embarrassment.
“Mariah, please listen,” he said. “It wasn’t a real date. I only wanted you to come here so we could talk.”
“So you decided to manipulate me instead?” she replied. Her eyes filled with tears. “You could have respected my space.”
5. A Message Nobody Was Supposed to See
Before Isaiah could apologize, Faith’s phone vibrated against the table. She glanced down and immediately turned the screen away. Her sudden panic caught Mariah’s attention.
“Why are you hiding that?” Mariah asked.
Faith insisted it was nothing, but Hope had already gone pale. When Faith reluctantly showed the screen, everyone saw the same chilling message:
“Did it work? Once Mariah and Isaiah start fighting, move to the next stage. They must not discover who arranged this.”
Isaiah stared at the words. “Next stage? What does that mean?”
Faith struggled to answer. Hope reached for her sister’s arm, silently urging her to stay quiet.
Mariah stepped back. “You invited me here because somebody told you to?”
Faith shook her head, but her trembling hands told a different story.
6. The Friendship Begins to Collapse
Isaiah looked from one twin to the other. Only minutes earlier, he had believed they were helping him save his relationship. Now he wondered whether they had been using his heartbreak all along.
“Tell me who sent that message,” he demanded.
Hope finally spoke. “We thought it would be harmless. We were told you and Mariah needed a push.”
“By whom?” Mariah asked.
Faith’s eyes moved toward the entrance. “I can explain, but not here.”
Isaiah refused to let the conversation end. “No more secrets. You both convinced me to do something I already knew was wrong. If somebody else is involved, I deserve to know.”
Mariah folded her arms. “We all deserve the truth.”
7. The Voice at the Door
Suddenly, a familiar voice interrupted them from behind.
“Stop blaming Hope and Faith. They were following my instructions.”
Everyone turned. A figure stood just inside the restaurant, watching them with an unsettling calmness. Isaiah recognized the voice instantly, but the explanation made no sense. Mariah froze, her face drained of color.
“You?” she whispered. “After everything I trusted you with?”
The stranger stepped closer. “You have only heard half the story.”
Isaiah moved beside Mariah. For the first time that evening, they were united by the same question: who had been controlling the situation, and what did this person want from them?
