SCENE 1 — LARRY AND BETHANY’S HOUSE — MORNING

The house is quiet.

Bethany stands in the living room, holding her phone. She calls Larry again, hoping he will finally answer.

The phone rings.

No response.

Bethany lowers the phone, her expression changing from concern to frustration.

BETHANY

Larry, why aren’t you answering my calls? You know I’ve been trying to reach you all morning!

She calls him once more. The call rings without an answer.

Bethany takes a deep breath, struggling to control her anger.

BETHANY

I’m tired of this behavior. Every time I need to talk to you, you suddenly become unavailable. What exactly are you trying to prove?

She walks toward the sofa and sits down, staring at Larry’s contact on her screen.

A moment later, she stands up with determination.

BETHANY

Fine, Larry. If you don’t want to answer me, I’ll find someone who actually listens.

She grabs her handbag and walks out of the house.

SCENE 2 — OUTSIDE CHOCOLATE’S HOUSE — LATE MORNING

Bethany arrives at Chocolate’s house. She knocks on the door several times.

Chocolate opens it and immediately notices the anger on Bethany’s face.

CHOCOLATE

Bethany? What’s going on? You look like something terrible just happened.

Bethany walks inside without wasting another second.

BETHANY

Chocolate, I need to talk to you. I’m so angry right now that I don’t even know where to begin.

Chocolate closes the door and follows her into the living room.

CHOCOLATE

Sit down and tell me everything. Did something happen between you and Larry?

Bethany drops her handbag onto the sofa.

BETHANY

I’ve been calling Larry all morning, and he refuses to answer. I’ve called him again and again, but he acts like my calls don’t even matter.

Chocolate sits beside her and listens carefully.

CHOCOLATE

Did you send him a message explaining why you needed to speak with him?

BETHANY

Of course I did! He knows how to use his phone. He knows how to answer a call. If he wanted to talk to me, he would have answered by now.

Bethany shakes her head in frustration.

BETHANY

I’m always expected to understand him. I’m always expected to be patient. But what about my feelings? Doesn’t my peace matter to anyone?

Chocolate gently places a hand on Bethany’s shoulder.

CHOCOLATE

Your feelings matter, Bethany. But don’t let your anger make you do something you’ll regret. Tell me what you really want to happen.

Bethany looks at her with a sudden change in expression.

BETHANY

I want something different. I’m tired of sitting around waiting for people to make decisions. I want to take control of a situation for once.

Chocolate raises her eyebrows.

CHOCOLATE

What are you planning?

Bethany leans closer, ready to explain her idea.

SCENE 3 — CHOCOLATE’S LIVING ROOM — CONTINUOUS

Bethany explains everything to Chocolate. She tells her about Larry’s unanswered calls, her frustration, and the decision she has made.

Chocolate listens with growing surprise.

CHOCOLATE

Wait a minute. Are you telling me you want to arrange a wedding?

Bethany nods firmly.

BETHANY

Yes! I want to get everything ready. I want the people involved to stop making excuses and start taking their future seriously.

Chocolate studies Bethany’s face, trying to understand how serious she is.

CHOCOLATE

And where does Jasie fit into all of this?

Bethany immediately reaches for her phone.

BETHANY

Jasie needs to come here. I want to speak with Jasie face-to-face, and I want us to get everything organized.

Chocolate watches as Bethany searches for Jasie’s number.

CHOCOLATE

Bethany, are you sure you’re thinking clearly? Wedding preparations are a big deal. You can’t simply rush everything because you’re upset with Larry.

Bethany pauses. For a moment, her expression softens.

Maybe I’m angry, Chocolate. But I’ve been thinking about how much time people waste avoiding important conversations. I want us to move forward instead of staying stuck.

Chocolate nods slowly.

CHOCOLATE

All right. Call Jasie. Let’s hear what Jasie has to say before we make any final decisions.

Bethany presses the call button.

SCENE 4 — JASIE RECEIVES THE CALL — AFTERNOON

Jasie is at home when the phone begins to ring. Jasie looks at the screen and answers.

JASIE

Hello, Bethany. Is everything okay?

Bethany speaks quickly, unable to hide her excitement.

BETHANY

Jasie, I need you to come to Chocolate’s house as soon as you can. There’s something important we need to discuss.

Jasie becomes curious.

JASIE

What happened? You’re making me nervous. Is this about Larry?

Bethany glances at Chocolate, who gestures for her to explain calmly.

BETHANY

Larry isn’t answering my calls, and I’m tired of dealing with the same problems. But that’s not the only reason I called. I have an idea, and I need your help.

JASIE

What kind of idea?

BETHANY

Come over, and I’ll explain everything. Chocolate is here with me.

Jasie hesitates for a moment.

JASIE

All right. I’ll get ready and come over. But you have to tell me what’s happening when I arrive.

BETHANY

I promise. Just hurry, because we have a lot to discuss.

They end the call. Bethany looks at Chocolate with a determined smile.

Chocolate smiles cautiously.

A knock sounds at the door. Chocolate opens it, revealing Jasie.

Jasie! Come inside. Bethany has been waiting for you.

Jasie enters and sees Bethany sitting at the dining table with a notebook and her phone.

JASIE

All right, Bethany. I’m here. Now tell me what this is all about.

Bethany stands up and approaches Jasie.

BETHANY

I want to arrange a wedding, and I need both of you to help me prepare everything.

Jasie looks surprised.

JASIE

A wedding? Bethany, you’re talking about a wedding as if it’s happening tomorrow!

Chocolate laughs softly, trying to lighten the mood.

CHOCOLATE

That’s exactly how she sounded when she first told me about it.

Bethany folds her arms.

BETHANY

I’m serious. I want us to discuss the arrangements, the clothes, the decorations, and everything else that needs to be done.

Jasie sits down.

JASIE

Before we start, I need to understand something. Who is getting married, and have the people involved agreed to this?

Bethany pauses, realizing that the arrangements need everyone’s agreement.

BETHANY

You’re right. We need to make sure everyone understands the plan. But I still want us to prepare and get everything organized.

Chocolate nods in agreement.

CHOCOLATE

We can start by making a list. Once the details are confirmed, we’ll know what needs to happen next.

Jasie opens the notebook.

JASIE

Fine. Let’s start with the clothes and the wedding venue. Then we can discuss the decorations.

Bethany’s face brightens.

That’s what I wanted to hear! Finally, someone is willing to help me instead of leaving me to handle everything alone.

The room gradually fills with wedding outfits, fabric samples, decorations, and handwritten lists.

Chocolate examines several clothing options while Jasie checks the arrangements on the notebook.

Bethany walks between them, making suggestions and organizing the details.

BETHANY

Chocolate, can you look at these outfits? I want something elegant and beautiful. Everything should look special.

CHOCOLATE

I’ve already picked out a few options. We just need to decide which ones are suitable.

Jasie holds up a clothing sample.

JASIE

What about this one? It would look wonderful with simple decorations and matching accessories.

Bethany examines it carefully.

BETHANY

I love it! Let’s keep this option for now.

She turns toward the table, where a list of arrangements is spread out.

BETHANY

Jasie, please check the venue details. Chocolate, help me organize the remaining things. I want everything ready once the plans are confirmed.

Chocolate smiles at Bethany.

CHOCOLATE

You certainly have a lot of energy today.

Bethany lets out a small laugh.

BETHANY

After the morning I’ve had, I need something positive to focus on.

For a moment, her smile fades as she remembers Larry. She looks at her phone.

There is still no message from him.

JASIE

Bethany, are you thinking about Larry again?

Bethany slowly puts the phone down.

BETHANY

Yes. I don’t understand why he won’t answer me. I don’t want another argument. I just want him to talk to me honestly.

Chocolate approaches her.

CHOCOLATE

Then when you speak with him, tell him exactly how you feel. Don’t let today’s anger decide everything for you.

Bethany nods, looking thoughtful.

I will. But for now, I want to finish what we’ve started.

She turns back toward the wedding arrangements.

Come on, ladies. We still have work to do!

Chocolate and Jasie return to the table, and the three continue preparing together.

Chocolate exchanges a knowing glance with Jasie.
