SHARRA SUDDENLY GETS SICK IN FRONT OF LARRY — DRE’S SECRET THREATENS TO DESTROY EVERYTHING!

SCENE 1 — SHARRA AND DRE’S SECRET — NIGHT

The house is quiet.

Sharra stands near the window, looking worried. Dre approaches her, and they begin discussing their complicated relationship. The tension between them is obvious.

DRE

Sharra, we need to talk about what happened between us. We cannot keep pretending that everything is normal.

Sharra looks away, struggling to find the right words.

SHARRA

I know, Dre. But you have to understand something. Larry is part of my life, and I don’t know what will happen if he discovers our secret.

Dre takes a deep breath.

DRE

You knew this could become complicated. We made choices, and now we have to face the consequences.

Sharra lowers her eyes.

SHARRA

I’m already worried about what might happen. I don’t want my entire life to fall apart.

Dre looks at her seriously.

DRE

Then we need to be careful about what we say and do from now on.

Sharra nods, but the fear on her face does not disappear. Neither of them realizes that their secret will soon lead to an unexpected confrontation.

SCENE 2 — THE NEXT MORNING — SHARRA’S HOUSE

Morning sunlight enters the living room.

Sharra walks into the kitchen, looking unusually uncomfortable. She places one hand against the counter and closes her eyes. Suddenly, she feels nauseated and quickly rushes toward the bathroom.

A few moments later, she returns, looking pale and confused. Her phone rings. Larry’s name appears on the screen.

SHARRA

Hello, Larry.

LARRY

Sharra, how are you feeling this morning? You sound different.

Sharra tries to sound normal.

SHARRA

I’m fine. I think I just need some rest.

Larry immediately notices the uncertainty in her voice.

LARRY

Are you sure? You don’t sound fine to me.

SHARRA

I said I’m okay, Larry. Please don’t worry about me.

Larry remains silent for a moment.

LARRY

I’ll come over and check on you. I don’t want you sitting there alone if something is wrong.

Sharra’s eyes widen.

SHARRA

Larry, you don’t have to come here. I’m perfectly capable of taking care of myself.

LARRY

I’m already on my way.

The call ends. Sharra stares at her phone, suddenly overwhelmed by anxiety. She knows that if Larry begins asking the wrong questions, keeping her secret may become much more difficult.

SCENE 3 — LARRY ARRIVES — LATE MORNING

A car pulls into the driveway. Larry steps out and walks toward the front door. Sharra opens it before he can knock.

He immediately notices that she looks unwell.

LARRY

Sharra, what happened to you? You look like you haven’t slept all night.

SHARRA

I’m just tired. That’s all.

Larry enters the house and looks around.

LARRY

Have you eaten anything today?

SHARRA

Not really. I haven’t felt hungry.

LARRY

Then you need to eat something. You can’t keep ignoring your health.

Sharra turns toward the kitchen, but before she can take another step, another wave of nausea hits her. She covers her mouth and rushes toward the bathroom.

Larry freezes.

LARRY

Sharra!

He follows her and waits outside the door, visibly worried. When she finally comes out, Larry notices how pale she looks.

LARRY

That’s enough. Something is wrong, and you’re going to tell me what it is.

SHARRA

Larry, please. I just need a little time.

LARRY

Time for what? You’ve been acting strangely since I called you.

Sharra cannot meet his eyes. Larry begins to suspect that her sickness might not be the only thing she is hiding.

SCENE 4 — A QUESTION LARRY NEVER EXPECTED TO ASK

They sit in the living room. Larry places a glass of water on the table and watches Sharra carefully.

LARRY

Has this happened before?

SHARRA

A little. I thought it would go away.

LARRY

And you didn’t think to tell anyone?

SHARRA

I didn’t want anyone making a big deal out of it.

Larry shakes his head.

LARRY

Being sick isn’t something you should hide. If you’re feeling this bad, we need to find out why.

Sharra grips the edge of the sofa.

SHARRA

What if the answer changes everything?

Larry stares at her.

LARRY

What exactly are you talking about?

Sharra immediately realizes she has said too much.

SHARRA

Nothing. Forget I said that.

LARRY

No, Sharra. You don’t get to say something like that and then expect me to forget it.

He leans forward.

LARRY

Is there something you’re afraid to tell me?

Sharra’s eyes fill with tears. For a moment, she considers confessing everything about Dre. But fear takes control, and she looks away.

SHARRA

I’m not ready to talk about it.

Larry stands, frustrated and worried.

LARRY

Then at least let me take you to a doctor.

Sharra hesitates before finally nodding.

SCENE 5 — THE HOSPITAL RECEPTION

Larry drives Sharra to the hospital. Inside, they sit in the waiting area while a nurse checks Sharra’s details. Larry keeps glancing at her.

LARRY

You should have told me you were feeling this bad.

SHARRA

I didn’t know it would get worse.

LARRY

That’s exactly why you should have told me.

Sharra looks down at her hands.

SHARRA

Larry, promise me you won’t jump to conclusions about anything.

He turns toward her.

LARRY

How can I promise that when you won’t even tell me what’s happening?

Before Sharra can answer, the nurse calls her name. Sharra rises slowly and follows the nurse toward the examination room.

Larry remains behind for a moment, his mind filled with unanswered questions. He knows Sharra is hiding something. He just doesn’t know whether it concerns her health, Dre, or both.

SCENE 6 — THE DOCTOR’S EXAMINATION

The doctor examines Sharra and asks about her symptoms. Sharra explains that she has experienced repeated nausea and vomiting. The doctor listens carefully before arranging the necessary medical checks.

Larry waits outside, pacing nervously. A few minutes later, the doctor invites Larry and Sharra to discuss the next steps.

DOCTOR

Sharra’s symptoms need further evaluation. Vomiting can happen for several reasons, and we shouldn’t assume the cause without proper testing.

Larry looks concerned.

LARRY

But is she going to be okay?

DOCTOR

At the moment, we need more information. We’ll explain the results once the appropriate checks are completed.

Sharra sits quietly, visibly anxious. Larry reaches toward her shoulder.

LARRY

We’ll figure this out. You don’t have to face it alone.

Sharra looks at him, guilt written across her face. His concern makes the secret she is keeping feel even heavier.

SCENE 7 — DRE’S UNEXPECTED PHONE CALL

Larry steps into the corridor to speak with the nurse. Sharra’s phone begins vibrating beside her.

She looks at the screen. Dre is calling. Her expression changes immediately. She answers in a low voice.

SHARRA

Dre, why are you calling me right now?

DRE

Because you haven’t answered my messages. Is everything okay?

SHARRA

No. I’m at the hospital with Larry.

There is a long silence.

DRE

What? Why are you at the hospital?

SHARRA

I’ve been vomiting, and Larry became worried. He brought me here.

Dre’s voice becomes tense.

DRE

Did you tell him anything about us?

SHARRA

No, but he’s asking questions. I don’t know how much longer I can keep this from him.

Dre exhales sharply.

DRE

Sharra, we need to talk before this gets worse.

SHARRA

Not now, Dre. Larry could come back at any moment.

Suddenly, she hears footsteps approaching.

SHARRA

I have to go.

She ends the call and quickly puts her phone away. Larry appears at the doorway.

LARRY

Who were you talking to?

Sharra looks up, startled.

SHARRA

Nobody important. Just someone checking on me.

Larry studies her face.

LARRY

Then why did you look so frightened?

Sharra has no answer.

SCENE 8 — LARRY’S SUSPICION GROWS

Larry returns to the chair beside Sharra. He tries to remain calm, but something about her behavior troubles him.

LARRY

Sharra, I came here because I was worried about you. I’m not trying to control your life.

Sharra looks at him.

LARRY

But every time I ask you a question, you become more nervous. I need you to be honest with me.

Sharra’s eyes fill with tears.

SHARRA

I’m sorry, Larry. I know I’ve been acting strangely.

LARRY

Then help me understand why.

She opens her mouth, but the words refuse to come. Larry slowly leans back.

LARRY

Is Dre involved in whatever you’re hiding?

Sharra goes completely still. Her silence tells Larry more than she intended.

LARRY

I knew it.

SHARRA

Larry, please listen to me.

LARRY

I am listening. But I need the truth, Sharra. Not another excuse.

Sharra begins crying.

SHARRA

I never wanted things to become this complicated.

Larry looks at her with a mixture of worry and disbelief.

LARRY

What did you and Dre do?

Sharra cannot answer. The hospital room falls silent. Larry realizes that her sudden sickness may be only one part of a much bigger problem.

Whatever happened between Sharra and Dre, the truth is now dangerously close to coming out. Larry waits for an explanation, while Sharra struggles to decide whether she should finally confess.
