Wayne Begs Amber for One Last Chance

Wayne offers Amber his entire fortune, but she refuses to change her mind—even when he begs on his knees.

Wayne arrives at Amber’s home hoping to repair their broken relationship. With Dave present, a peaceful lunch turns into an emotional confrontation none of them will forget.

Scene 1: An Unexpected Lunch Together

The afternoon sun shone through the large windows of Amber’s beautiful home. The dining table was covered with delicious food, fresh drinks, and elegant plates. Amber sat at one end of the table, while Dave sat comfortably beside her. Wayne had also arrived, hoping that spending time with Amber would help him repair their broken relationship.

Although everyone was sitting together, the atmosphere was not as peaceful as it appeared. Dave knew Wayne still had feelings for Amber, and Amber knew Wayne had not accepted her decision to move on.

WAYNE

“I have to admit, Amber, you’ve put together a really nice lunch. It feels good to sit here with you again.”

AMBER

“Thank you, Wayne. I just wanted everyone to eat in peace. We don’t have to turn every meeting into an argument.”

DAVE

“That’s exactly how it should be. We’re all adults. We can sit together, enjoy our food, and have a respectful conversation.”

Wayne nodded, but his eyes kept returning to Amber. He watched her laugh at something Dave said, and the sight reminded him of the happiness he had lost.

WAYNE

“You two seem happy together.”

DAVE

“We’re trying to build something based on trust. That’s what matters to me.”

AMBER

“And peace, Dave. Don’t forget peace. I’ve spent enough time dealing with confusion and unnecessary drama.”

Wayne lowered his eyes. He understood that Amber was referring to their past, but he was not ready to accept that their story might be over.

WAYNE

“I know I made mistakes. I’m not pretending I was perfect. But sometimes people realize what they had only after they lose it.”

AMBER

“That may be true, Wayne. But realizing something too late doesn’t automatically give you another chance.”

For a moment, nobody spoke. Dave asked Wayne about his recent business activities, and the conversation gradually returned to ordinary subjects. They discussed property, work, and mutual acquaintances.

From the outside, it looked like three people enjoying a peaceful afternoon. But Wayne was waiting for the right moment to speak privately with Amber. He wanted to tell her everything he had been holding inside, and he was afraid that if he waited much longer, he would lose his courage.

Scene 2: Dave Leaves the Dining Room

After everyone had finished eating, Dave stood up and checked his pockets.

DAVE

“I think I left my phone in the other room. I’ll be right back.”

AMBER

“Okay. Your phone was on the table near the sofa earlier.”

DAVE

“That’s probably where it is. I’ll check.”

Dave walked out of the dining room and headed toward the living room. The moment he disappeared around the corner, Wayne turned toward Amber. His friendly expression vanished, replaced by desperation.

WAYNE

“Amber, please. I need to talk to you.”

AMBER

“Wayne, if you’re about to start talking about our relationship again, I really don’t think this is the right time.”

WAYNE

“Just listen to me for two minutes. I’m asking you for two minutes, Amber. After that, you can tell me whatever you want.”

AMBER

“Fine. Talk. But I want you to understand something before you start. I’m not going to change my mind just because you get emotional.”

WAYNE

“Do you really think I can sit across from you, watch you smile at another man, and pretend that nothing hurts? Do you think it’s easy for me to see you building a life with Dave when I still love you?”

AMBER

“You’re asking me to understand your feelings, Wayne. But did you ever stop to think about mine?”

WAYNE

“I know I hurt you.”

AMBER

“No. I don’t think you fully understand what you did. You think the problem is that I stopped choosing you. You don’t understand that I got tired of waiting for you to become the person you kept promising me you would be.”

WAYNE

“I can change. I swear to you, Amber. I can do better.”

AMBER

“You have said those exact words before.”

WAYNE

“But this time I mean it! I can’t imagine my life without you. Every time I think about the future, I see you in it. If I can just get one more chance, I can make everything right.”

Amber looked away for a moment. She remembered the promises, the disappointments, and all the times she had tried to convince herself that things would improve.

AMBER

“Wayne, I left because I needed to find myself again. I needed to stop living in a situation where I was constantly wondering whether I was enough for you.”

WAYNE

“You were always enough.”

AMBER

“Then why did I have to keep fighting to feel that way?”

Her question left Wayne speechless.

Scene 3: Wayne Makes an Unexpected Offer

Wayne took a deep breath, desperate to find something that might convince Amber to reconsider.

WAYNE

“Tell me what you want. Anything. Whatever you need, I’ll make it happen.”

AMBER

“I don’t want anything from you, Wayne. I want you to respect my decision.”

WAYNE

“You don’t understand what I’m saying. I’m willing to give you everything I have.”

He paused, then continued with greater urgency.

WAYNE

“My land, my properties, my investments, everything I’ve worked for. I’ll put it all in your name. I’ll make sure you never have to worry about money again. If that’s what it takes to prove how serious I am, I’ll do it.”

AMBER

“Are you seriously trying to buy your way back into my life?”

WAYNE

“No! That’s not what this is about.”

AMBER

“Then why are you talking about land and property? Do you think my decision has a price?”

WAYNE

“I’m trying to show you that I’m willing to sacrifice something important for you!”

AMBER

“You’re still not listening to me. I don’t need your property. I don’t need your money. I needed honesty, consistency, and respect when we were together.”

WAYNE

“So none of it matters to you anymore?”

AMBER

“Your money was never the reason I cared about you. And losing my feelings for you doesn’t mean you can make them come back with an expensive promise.”

Wayne looked down at the floor. For years, he had believed that success, wealth, and the ability to provide could solve almost any problem. Now he was discovering that there were things money could not repair.

WAYNE

“I don’t know what else to do, Amber.”

AMBER

“Start by accepting that I have the right to move forward.”

WAYNE

“I don’t want to lose you. I can’t imagine waking up every day knowing that you’re with someone else. If I let you go, I’ll regret it for the rest of my life.”

AMBER

“You might regret the choices you made. But that doesn’t mean I’m responsible for fixing those regrets.”

Wayne opened his mouth to answer, but no words came out. Then, in a moment that surprised even Amber, he slowly moved away from his chair.

Scene 4: Wayne Gets Down on His Knees

Wayne dropped to both knees in front of Amber. His hands lifted toward her in a pleading gesture. He looked up at her, his expression full of sorrow.

WAYNE

“Amber, please! I’m begging you. Don’t do this to us. Don’t let everything we had become nothing.”

Amber froze for a moment. She had expected Wayne to argue, make promises, or offer money. But she had not expected him to kneel in front of her.

WAYNE

“I know I’ve made mistakes. I know I hurt you. I’m not asking you to forget everything overnight. Just give me one last chance to prove that I can be the man you needed me to be.”

AMBER

“Wayne, get up.”

WAYNE

“Not until you hear me out!”

AMBER

“I’ve heard you. I’ve listened to every promise you’ve made. Please, get up.”

WAYNE

“I love you, Amber. I love you more than I’ve ever been able to explain. If I have to start over, I’ll do it. If I have to earn your trust one day at a time, I’ll do that too. I want the life I thought we were going to have together.”

AMBER

“You keep talking about what you want. What about what I want? I wanted a relationship where I didn’t have to beg for attention. I wanted to feel respected and believe your words without wondering how long they would last.”

WAYNE

“I can give you that now!”

AMBER

“Why now, Wayne? Why did it take losing me for you to understand what I needed?”

He had no answer. The room fell silent. Wayne’s hands slowly lowered, but he remained on his knees.

WAYNE

“Because I was foolish. Because I thought you would always be there. Because I believed I had more time.”

AMBER

“And now you’re asking me to risk my peace because you finally understand what you lost.”

WAYNE

“I’m asking you to remember the good times, too.”

AMBER

“I remember them. I remember everything. But good memories don’t erase the things that made me leave.”

Scene 5: Dave Returns and Sees Everything

At that exact moment, Dave returned from the other room with his phone in his hand. He stopped at the entrance to the dining room. Wayne was on both knees in front of Amber, desperately pleading with her.

DAVE

“Wayne. What exactly is going on here?”

AMBER

“He’s asking me to take him back.”

DAVE

“And you’re comfortable with this conversation?”

AMBER

“I’ve told him how I feel. He just doesn’t want to accept my answer.”

DAVE

“Wayne, I think you’ve made your point. You need to stand up and give her some space.”

WAYNE

“This is between me and Amber. I need to finish talking to her.”

DAVE

“You can talk to her respectfully. But when someone tells you no, you don’t get to keep pushing until you hear the answer you want.”

WAYNE

“Please, Amber. Don’t let him decide what happens between us.”

AMBER

“Dave isn’t deciding anything for me. I am. I made my own decision long before he walked back into this room. Dave didn’t force me to move on. My feelings changed because of what happened between us.”

WAYNE

“So you’re choosing him?”

AMBER

“I’m choosing the life I’ve decided I want. And right now, that life doesn’t include getting back together with you.”

Dave remained beside Amber without interrupting. He wanted Wayne to understand that Amber was speaking for herself. Wayne’s shoulders dropped. For the first time that afternoon, he seemed to realize that no dramatic gesture could force Amber to reconsider.

Scene 6: Amber Gives Wayne Her Final Answer

Wayne finally rose to his feet. He brushed off his trousers and looked at Amber, hoping that perhaps her expression would soften.

WAYNE

“After everything we’ve been through, you’re really going to let me walk away like this?”

AMBER

“I’m not making you walk away, Wayne. I’m telling you that I won’t return to a relationship I’ve already chosen to leave.”

WAYNE

“What if I change everything? What if I become everything you ever asked me to be?”

AMBER

“Then become that person for yourself. Become better because it’s the right thing to do, not because you believe it will guarantee that I’ll come back.”

AMBER

“I didn’t leave you for money. I didn’t leave you because you weren’t successful enough. I left because I needed more than promises and grand gestures.”

Dave gently placed a hand on Amber’s shoulder. Wayne noticed the gesture, and his expression grew even more sorrowful.

WAYNE

“I thought if I offered you everything, you’d understand how much you mean to me.”

AMBER

“I understand how much you want me back. But wanting someone and being ready to treat them right are two different things.”

WAYNE

“Is there absolutely nothing I can do?”

AMBER

“You can respect me. You can stop asking me to change my answer. And you can learn from what happened between us.”

WAYNE

“So this is goodbye?”

AMBER

“For the relationship we had, yes.”

DAVE

“Wayne, I know this isn’t easy for you. But Amber has been clear. The respectful thing to do now is accept her decision.”

WAYNE

“I never thought I’d be sitting here begging for a chance I once had.”

AMBER

“Sometimes we only understand the value of something after we’ve lost it. But understanding that doesn’t mean we can demand it back.”

Wayne nodded slowly. He picked up his jacket and headed toward the doorway. Before leaving, he turned around one last time.

WAYNE

“I hope one day you understand that I really did love you.”

AMBER

“I hope one day you understand that love isn’t just what you feel. It’s also how you treat the person you claim to love.”

Wayne stood silently for a few seconds. Then he walked out. The front door closed behind him.

Scene 7: What Happens After Wayne Leaves?

For several moments, neither Amber nor Dave spoke. Amber returned to her chair, looking emotionally exhausted. Dave sat beside her and placed his phone on the table.

DAVE

“Are you okay?”

AMBER

“I think so. I just didn’t expect him to go that far.”

DAVE

“You don’t have to feel guilty for saying no. You gave him your answer, and you have every right to stand by it.”

AMBER

“I don’t hate W
