JADE SHOWS UP AT LARRY’S HOUSE — BETHANY ATTACKS HER, BUT LARRY ARRIVES JUST IN TIME!
Bethany had been enjoying a quiet afternoon when she noticed a familiar car pulling up outside Larry’s house. Her expression changed instantly as she watched Jade step out and walk toward the front door.
For a moment, Bethany couldn’t believe what she was seeing.
Jade had been trying to contact Larry for days, and now she had finally come to his home. Bethany knew exactly why Jade was there, and the thought of another woman showing up to see her husband filled her with anger.
She put down her phone and hurried toward the door.
Jade was standing on the front porch, looking at her phone. She had just sent Larry another message, hoping he would come outside and speak with her.
Instead, Bethany appeared in front of her.
BETHANY: What are you doing here?
Jade looked up, surprised by the sudden confrontation.
JADE: I’m here to see Larry.
BETHANY: You think you can just come to my house whenever you want?
JADE: I contacted him several times, but he hasn’t answered me. I need to talk to him.
Bethany let out a bitter laugh.
BETHANY: You need to talk to him? What could you possibly have to say to my husband that you can’t say over the phone?
Jade took a deep breath, trying to remain calm.
JADE: This is between Larry and me. I don’t want to argue with you.
BETHANY: Then you should have stayed away from my house!
Jade glanced toward the front door.
JADE: I just want to speak with Larry. If he tells me to leave, I’ll leave.
Bethany stepped closer, her anger growing.
BETHANY: You don’t get to decide what happens in my house!
Jade’s expression hardened.
JADE: I’m not trying to disrespect you. I’m asking to speak with him.
BETHANY: You have some nerve showing up here after everything that’s happened!
Jade looked confused.
JADE: What are you talking about?
BETHANY: Don’t pretend you don’t know!
Bethany suddenly moved toward Jade, raising her hand as if she intended to strike her.
Jade reacted quickly, catching Bethany’s arm before she could hit her.
JADE: Don’t touch me!
Bethany tried to pull away, but Jade held her arm for a moment.
BETHANY: Let go of me!
JADE: Stop trying to hit me!
Bethany struggled to free herself, her face turning red with anger.
BETHANY: You came here looking for trouble!
JADE: No, Bethany! I came here to talk to Larry!
Bethany tried to push past her, but Jade stepped back and released her arm.
JADE: I’m not going to let you hit me!
Bethany stared at her in disbelief.
BETHANY: You think you’re going to come into my house and put your hands on me?
JADE: You were the one who tried to hit me!
BETHANY: Get away from me!
Jade stepped back, giving Bethany some space.
JADE: Fine. But I’m not leaving until I speak to Larry.
Bethany’s eyes widened.
BETHANY: You are not going to stand here and demand anything from my husband!
JADE: Then call him and tell him I’m here.
Bethany reached for her phone, but before she could make the call, the front door suddenly opened.
Larry stepped outside.
He had heard the shouting from inside and immediately rushed toward the porch.
LARRY: What is going on out here?
Both women turned toward him.
Bethany pointed at Jade.
BETHANY: Your friend showed up at our house, and now she’s putting her hands on me!
Jade shook her head.
JADE: That’s not what happened!
Larry looked from one woman to the other, trying to understand the situation.
LARRY: Everybody calm down. What happened?
BETHANY: She came here looking for you!
Larry turned toward Jade.
LARRY: Jade, why are you here?
Jade’s expression softened when she saw him.
JADE: I’ve been trying to contact you, Larry. You haven’t answered any of my calls or messages.
LARRY: I know you’ve been trying to reach me.
JADE: Then why haven’t you called me back?
Larry glanced at Bethany, who was still standing beside the door with her arms crossed.
LARRY: This isn’t the time to have this conversation.
JADE: When is the time, Larry? I’ve been waiting for you to talk to me!
Bethany stepped forward.
BETHANY: You heard him. He doesn’t want to talk to you!
Jade looked at her.
JADE: I want to hear that from Larry.
Larry raised his hand, trying to stop the argument from getting worse.
LARRY: Bethany, please. Let me handle this.
BETHANY: Handle what? She comes to our house, starts an argument, and now you want me to stand here quietly?
LARRY: I’m not asking you to stand quietly. I’m asking you to let me speak.
Bethany shook her head, frustrated.
BETHANY: You always do this, Larry. You always make excuses for her!
Larry looked at Jade again.
LARRY: What do you need to tell me?
Jade hesitated, looking between Larry and Bethany.
JADE: I wanted to talk to you privately.
Bethany immediately interrupted.
BETHANY: Absolutely not!
LARRY: Bethany!
BETHANY: No, Larry! I’m tired of this! She keeps calling you, messaging you, and now she’s showing up at our house!
Jade’s eyes filled with frustration.
JADE: I never wanted to cause problems between you two.
BETHANY: Then why are you here?
JADE: Because Larry hasn’t been answering me!
Larry sighed and rubbed his forehead.
LARRY: Jade, I understand you’re upset, but you can’t just show up at my house like this.
Jade looked hurt.
JADE: I wouldn’t have come if you had answered me.
For a moment, nobody spoke.
Larry looked at Bethany, then back at Jade.
LARRY: I think you should go home. We can talk another time.
Jade stared at him, disappointed.
JADE: So that’s it? You’re just going to send me away?
LARRY: I’m not sending you away. I’m asking you to give me some time.
JADE: I’ve already given you time, Larry!
Bethany stepped between them.
BETHANY: You heard him. Leave!
Jade looked at Larry one last time.
JADE: I hope you understand what you’re doing.
Larry didn’t answer.
Jade slowly turned and walked toward her car.
Bethany watched her leave, still visibly angry.
BETHANY: I can’t believe you let her come here and speak to me like that!
LARRY: Bethany, I didn’t know she was coming.
BETHANY: But you knew she was trying to contact you!
Larry remained silent.
Bethany looked at him, her anger turning into hurt.
BETHANY: Larry, I need you to tell me the truth. Why is Jade so desperate to talk to you?
Larry looked toward the driveway, where Jade’s car was disappearing down the street.
LARRY: There’s something I need to explain to you.
Bethany’s expression changed.
BETHANY: What is it?
Larry took a deep breath.
LARRY: Jade didn’t come here just because I stopped answering her calls.
Bethany stared at him.
BETHANY: Then why did she come here?
Larry looked directly into her eyes.
LARRY: Because she believes I promised her something.
Bethany’s face went pale.
BETHANY: What did you promise her, Larry?
Larry opened his mouth to answer, but before he could speak, his phone began ringing.
He looked at the screen.
Jade’s name appeared.
Bethany stared at the phone, then slowly looked back at her husband.
BETHANY: Larry… what is going on?
Larry hesitated before answering the call.
And Bethany realized that whatever Jade had come to tell him was far from over.
