Dave greeted her politely, completely unaware of what was going through her mind.

DAVE:

“Hey! It’s nice to finally meet you. I’ve heard quite a lot about you.”

“It’s nice to meet you too, Dave. You seem even more interesting in person.”

She smiled while looking directly into his eyes. Dave simply smiled back and continued their conversation. However, she was already imagining something completely different.

“There’s something special about him. I don’t know why, but I really want to get closer to him.”

She tried to hide her feelings, but her growing attraction was becoming difficult to control.

As their conversation continued, she casually started asking Dave about his personal life.

Although Dave spoke lovingly about Amber, his words only made the situation more complicated for her. She looked away and quietly thought about him.

“So, he already has a wife. But that doesn’t mean I have to give up. I want Dave, and I’ll find a way to get closer to him.”

A determined expression appeared on her face.

Later that day, Omini’s friend was sitting alone in her room, thinking about Dave. She remembered his smile, his voice, and the way he had spoken to her.

She picked up her phone and decided to contact him.

She took a deep breath and waited for Dave.

A few minutes later, Dave entered his room. Omini’s friend was already standing near the window. As soon as she noticed him, she turned around with a smile.

DAVE:

“So, you wanted to talk to me about something? What’s the matter?”

OMINI’S FRIEND:

“Actually, Dave, there’s something I’ve wanted to tell you for a while.”

Dave looked confused.

DAVE:

“Okay, go ahead. I’m listening.”

She slowly moved closer to him.

“Ever since I met you, I’ve felt something different. I don’t know how to explain it, but I really like being around you.”

Dave was surprised by her sudden confession.

DAVE:

“Wait a minute. What are you trying to say?”

She looked directly into his eyes.

OMINI’S FRIEND:

“I’m saying that I like you, Dave. More than you probably realize.”

Dave became uncomfortable.

DAVE:

“But you know I’m married to Amber. I thought we were just friends.”

OMINI’S FRIEND:

“I know about Amber. But I can’t pretend that I don’t have feelings for you.”

She tried to get closer, while Dave struggled to understand her intentions.

Dave looked away, but instead of immediately ending the conversation, he allowed the situation to continue. She gently held his hand.

Dave remained silent for a moment. Eventually, he stopped resisting the situation. The distance between them grew smaller, and they moved closer to each other.

She smiled, believing that her plan was finally working.

“I knew it. Dave is finally getting closer to me.”

The two began sharing a romantic moment, completely forgetting that someone else could walk into the room at any moment. But neither of them realized that Amber was already nearby.

As she approached the door, she heard faint voices coming from inside. She stopped for a moment. Something about the situation felt unusual.

“Who’s he talking to?”

Inside the room, Dave and Omini’s friend were still sharing their romantic moment. Neither of them noticed Amber standing outside.

Amber slowly turned the door handle and pushed it open. But the moment she looked inside, she froze.

Her eyes widened in disbelief. Standing in the doorway, she saw her own husband with another woman. For a few seconds, she couldn’t say anything.

“What is this, Dave? What am I looking at?”

“Amber, please. Just listen to me. It’s not what you think.”

Amber shook her head, her eyes filled with disappointment.

“Not what I think? I just opened the door and saw you with another woman! How can you even say that?”

“Please, let me explain everything.”

But Amber stepped backwards.

AMBER:

“Don’t come any closer, Dave. I trusted you. I never thought you could do something like this to me.”

A Broken Heart

Amber couldn’t hold back her emotions anymore. She looked at the woman standing beside Dave.

AMBER:

“How could you do this? You knew that Dave was married. You knew he had a wife!”

OMINI’S FRIEND:

“Amber, I…”

AMBER:

“Don’t! I don’t want to hear anything from you.”

Dave tried to interrupt the argument.

DAVE:

“Amber, please. I made a mistake. I know I shouldn’t have let this happen.”

Amber slowly turned towards him.

AMBER:

“A mistake? You think this is just a mistake? Do you have any idea how much I trusted you?”

Dave lowered his eyes.

DAVE:

“I’m sorry, Amber. I really am.”

AMBER:

“Sorry isn’t going to change what I just saw. You promised me that you would always be honest with me. But today, you broke that promise.”

She wiped away her tears and looked at him one last time.

AMBER:

“I never expected to see this side of you, Dave. I thought I was the only woman in your life.”

Dave remained speechless. The woman who had once trusted him more than anyone else was now standing in front of him, completely heartbroken.

The Unanswered Question

Amber slowly turned around and walked towards the door.

DAVE:

“Amber! Please don’t leave. We need to talk about this.”

She stopped for a moment but didn’t turn around.

AMBER:

“What is there left to talk about, Dave? You already showed me where I stand in your life.”

With those words, she walked out of the room. Dave stood frozen, watching her disappear down the hallway.

Omini’s friend looked at him, but the situation was no longer what she had imagined.

OMINI’S FRIEND:

“Dave, I didn’t think Amber would find out like this.”

Dave turned towards her with an angry expression.

DAVE:

“This is exactly why I told you we shouldn’t have done this!”

He looked towards the open doorway, realizing that he had just damaged his marriage.

Meanwhile, Amber continued walking through the hallway, trying to process the painful discovery. She had entered that room expecting to find her husband. Instead, she had discovered a betrayal she would never have imagined.
