Bethany’s Final Warning

BETHANY’S FINAL WARNING: LARRY CHOOSES HIS EX OVER HER

A CINEMATIC SCREENPLAY

EMOTIONAL DRAMA • JEALOUSY • BETRAYAL

SCENE 1: AN UNEXPECTED ARGUMENT

INT. BETHANY AND LARRY’S HOUSE — AFTERNOON

The living room is quiet. Bethany stands near the window. Larry walks into the room while checking his phone.

BETHANY:

Larry, I need to talk to you about something.

LARRY:

What happened? Why do you look so serious?

BETHANY:

I heard that you are planning to meet Sara again.

LARRY:

Yes, I am. What’s wrong with that?

BETHANY:

Sara is your ex-girlfriend. Why do you still want to spend time with her?

LARRY:

Because I know her, Bethany. We have known each other for a long time.

BETHANY:

That doesn’t mean you should keep going back to her.

The argument begins to grow as Bethany struggles to remain calm.

SCENE 2: BETHANY SETS A BOUNDARY

INT. LIVING ROOM — CONTINUOUS

Bethany walks closer to Larry. Her voice becomes firm.

BETHANY:

Larry, listen to me carefully. I don’t want you going anywhere with Sara anymore.

LARRY:

You cannot decide who I can and cannot meet.

BETHANY:

I am not trying to control your entire life. But I don’t understand why you keep choosing to spend time with your ex when you know how uncomfortable it makes me feel.

LARRY:

Sara is part of my past. That doesn’t mean I have to pretend she never existed.

BETHANY:

Then why can’t you understand my feelings?

LARRY:

Because you don’t trust me!

BETHANY:

Trust is something people build together, Larry. You cannot demand it while ignoring everything I am telling you.

Larry puts his phone into his pocket. He looks frustrated.

LARRY:

I have already made my decision. I am going to see Sara.

BETHANY:

No, Larry. I am asking you not to go with her.

LARRY:

And I am telling you that I will.

SCENE 3: LARRY REFUSES TO LISTEN

INT. LIVING ROOM — MOMENTS LATER

Larry picks up his jacket from the sofa. Bethany watches him carefully.

BETHANY:

Are you seriously going to walk out of this house after having this conversation with me?

LARRY:

Yes. I don’t want another argument.

BETHANY:

Then stop creating situations that hurt our relationship!

LARRY:

Sara hasn’t done anything wrong.

BETHANY:

This isn’t just about Sara. It’s about you refusing to consider how your decisions affect me.

Larry shakes his head.

LARRY:

I am tired of explaining myself.

BETHANY:

And I am tired of repeating the same things over and over again!

Larry moves toward the front door.

BETHANY:

If you walk out to meet Sara, don’t expect me to pretend everything is normal when you return.

LARRY:

I cannot keep living according to your rules.

BETHANY:

And I cannot keep living with someone who refuses to respect my feelings.

SCENE 4: BETHANY LOSES HER PATIENCE

INT. HOUSE — CONTINUOUS

Larry turns around one more time. His expression is stubborn.

LARRY:

I am going with Sara. You need to accept that.

Bethany loses her patience and strikes him in anger. Larry steps back, shocked.

LARRY:

Bethany! What is wrong with you?

BETHANY:

I have had enough, Larry!

LARRY:

You just hit me!

BETHANY:

And you still don’t understand how serious this situation has become!

BETHANY:

I kept trying to explain everything to you. I asked you to listen. I told you that this was hurting me, but you didn’t care.

LARRY:

That doesn’t give you the right to hit me!

Bethany becomes silent. Her anger mixes with disappointment.

SCENE 5: THE FINAL WORDS

INT. LIVING ROOM — EVENING

Larry stands near the door. Bethany wipes her tears and looks directly at him.

BETHANY:

Get out, Larry.

LARRY:

Bethany, wait. We need to talk about this.

BETHANY:

There is nothing left to talk about.

LARRY:

You cannot end everything because of one argument.

BETHANY:

This isn’t just one argument. I am tired of feeling like my words mean nothing to you.

LARRY:

I never said your feelings didn’t matter.

BETHANY:

But your actions have shown me otherwise.

LARRY:

I don’t want us to separate.

BETHANY:

Then you should have thought about that before making your decision.

LARRY:

What do you want me to do now?

BETHANY:

I want you to leave me alone. I don’t want to live with you anymore.

LARRY:

Are you really telling me to leave?

BETHANY:

Yes, Larry. Get out. I don’t want to be with you anymore.

SCENE 6: LARRY’S LAST ATTEMPT

EXT. HOUSE — EVENING

Larry walks outside and stops near his car. His phone suddenly rings. The name SARA appears on the screen.

LARRY:

Hello, Sara.

SARA:

Larry, where are you? I have been waiting for you.

LARRY:

I’m outside my house.

SARA:

Is everything okay?

LARRY:

No. Bethany and I had a huge argument.

SARA:

Was it because of me?

SARA:

Larry, I don’t want to become the reason for problems between you and Bethany.

LARRY:

It’s too late. She has told me to leave.

SARA:

Maybe you should go back inside and talk to her when things calm down.

LARRY:

I don’t think she wants to see me right now.

SCENE 7: BETHANY BREAKS DOWN

INT. HOUSE — SAME TIME

Bethany sits alone on the sofa. She looks at a photograph of herself and Larry.

BETHANY:

I never thought things would end like this.

Her phone lights up with a message from Larry.

LARRY’S MESSAGE:

Bethany, I know we had a terrible argument. I never wanted things to end this way. Please give me some time to explain.

Bethany reads the message twice. She starts typing a reply but stops.

BETHANY:

I need some peace. I cannot keep doing this anymore.

She walks toward the bedroom and closes the door.

SCENE 8: SARA’S UNEXPECTED DECISION

EXT. PARKING AREA — NIGHT

Larry is standing beside his car. Sara arrives a few minutes later.

SARA:

Larry, what happened? You look upset.

LARRY:

Bethany told me to leave. She doesn’t want to be with me anymore.

SARA:

I am sorry to hear that.

LARRY:

I don’t know what to do.

SARA:

Larry, you need to decide what you really want. You cannot keep creating confusion between your past and your present.

LARRY:

I know. But everything happened so quickly.

SARA:

Then take some time before making another decision.

Larry begins questioning whether his stubbornness has cost him something important.

SCENE 9: A RELATIONSHIP AT A CROSSROADS

INT. BETHANY’S BEDROOM — LATE NIGHT

Bethany sits beside the window. Her phone rings again. Larry’s name appears.

BETHANY:

What do you want, Larry?

LARRY:

I just wanted to know if you were okay.

BETHANY:

You don’t need to worry about me.

LARRY:

I know you’re angry, but I still care about you.

BETHANY:

Then why couldn’t you listen when I needed you to?

LARRY:

I made mistakes. I admit that.

BETHANY:

And I made a mistake too. I should never have hit you. But that doesn’t change how hurt I feel.

LARRY:

Can we meet tomorrow and talk?

BETHANY:

I don’t know, Larry. Right now, I need distance.

LARRY:

I understand.

BETHANY:

Good night.

She ends the call.

SCENE 10: AN UNCERTAIN TOMORROW

EXT. CITY STREET — NIGHT

Larry drives away slowly. The streets are almost empty.

He thinks about Bethany’s words and the choices that brought them to this moment.

Meanwhile, Bethany stands near her bedroom window, watching the distant streetlights.

Neither of them knows what will happen next.

Their relationship has reached a breaking point.

Larry wanted to follow his own decision without considering the consequences.

Bethany wanted to be heard, but her anger led her to react in a way that crossed a line.

LARRY (V.O.):

Sometimes, you don’t realize how much a person means to you until a single argument changes everything.

BETHANY (V.O.):

Sometimes, loving someone isn’t enough when trust, respect, and understanding begin to disappear.

The camera slowly pulls away from Bethany’s house. The lights remain on. But the future of their relationship is uncertain.

FADE OUT.
