Amber never imagined that a simple visit to Stevie’s room would completely change the direction of her life. Amber could hardly believe what she was hearing. She had never expected someone to offer her an entire fortune just to become his partner. Although the offer was enormous, Amber did not immediately become interested in the money.

Instead, she questioned Stevie about his intentions. She asked him whether he genuinely loved her or whether he believed that money could convince her to leave Dave.

Then he heard Amber asking Stevie for time. Those words made Dave even more furious. From his perspective, Amber was not rejecting Stevie completely.

He finally stepped forward and interrupted their conversation. Both Amber and Stevie turned around in shock.

Dave looked directly at Stevie and asked him what he thought he was doing. His voice was filled with anger, and he made it clear that he had heard everything.

Stevie attempted to remain calm. He told Dave that he was simply expressing his feelings and that he had every right to speak honestly about what he wanted.

Dave immediately challenged him. He asked Stevie how he could possibly think that offering money and properties to another man’s partner was acceptable.

Stevie responded that Amber was not anyone’s property. She had the right to make her own decisions, and he was simply giving her an opportunity to choose the future she wanted.

That response made Dave even angrier. He accused Stevie of using his wealth to manipulate Amber and trying to steal her away.

Amber immediately stepped between the two men. She did not want their argument to become physical or turn into an even bigger confrontation. She told Dave that he needed to calm down because Stevie had only confessed his feelings and she had not made any promises.

Dave turned toward Amber and asked why she had not rejected Stevie immediately. Amber reminded him that she had not encouraged Stevie to make the offer. She had simply been listening because she was shocked by what he was saying.
