INT. LUXURIOUS LIVING ROOM – DAY
Sunlight streams through the blinds, casting sharp lines across the polished floor. The room hums with tension. LARRY stands near the sofa, fists clenched, jaw tight. BETHANY faces SHARRA, her expression a mix of shock, guilt, and defiance. SHARRA sits gracefully, her posture calm but her eyes sharp, calculating.
BETHANY
(voice wavering, pointing at the sofa) That’s the sofa… Jhol gave it to you!
LARRY
(firm, frustrated) Bethany… I paid for that sofa myself!
BETHANY
(panicked, defensive) I… I don’t know anything! Brooke told me… Brooke said Jhol gifted it to you!
SHARRA
(icy, cutting) Brooke? You’re trusting Brooke over me?
The room tightens with tension. LARRY runs a hand through his hair, pacing behind the sofa.
LARRY
(to Bethany, voice rising) I can’t believe you just said that in front of everyone!
BETHANY
I didn’t make it up! I was told…
SHARRA
(interrupting, sharp) No, Bethany. You need to stop spreading things you don’t know.
LARRY
(voice trembling with anger) I gave you the truth. I gave you money for this sofa. And now… now you’re questioning everything in front of me?
BETHANY
I… I just… Brooke told me…
SHARRA
(leaning forward slightly, eyes piercing) And you believe everything Brooke tells you? Even if it’s nonsense?
LARRY
(pointing at Bethany, loud but controlled) Bethany, you think this is funny? You humiliate me… you humiliate me in front of Sharra!
BETHANY
(flinching, stepping back) Larry, I swear… I didn’t mean to…
SHARRA
(shaking head, faint chuckle) You always rush in, thinking you know everything.
BETHANY
(eyes wide, voice trembling) I only said what Brooke told me!
LARRY
(slams hand lightly on sofa) I gave you everything… and you turn it into lies?
SHARRA
(rising slowly, voice low and deadly) Bethany… Words have weight. And right now, yours are dragging everyone into chaos.
BETHANY
(swallows hard, nodding slightly) I… I just thought…
LARRY
(voice rising, frustration bleeding through) You thought what? That you could stir trouble and walk away?
BETHANY
(biting lip, trembling) No… I didn’t…
SHARRA
(tilting head, sly smile) Then maybe you should learn to keep your mouth shut until you know the facts.
The room falls silent. LARRY exhales sharply, shaking his head. BETHANY’s hands fidget at her sides.
BETHANY
I… I was only repeating what Brooke said…
LARRY
See? Even she admits she has no clue.
SHARRA
It’s amazing how people believe rumors over truth.
BETHANY
(steps forward, desperate) I didn’t want to lie! I swear!
LARRY
Bethany… sometimes trying to be right makes you look worse than ever.
BETHANY
(bites lip, nodding, looking down)
SHARRA
Now, maybe you understand why some things are better left unsaid.
BETHANY steps back, finally silent. LARRY exhales, tension still thick but slightly subdued. SHARRA sits back on the sofa, arms crossed, watching the aftermath.
The camera slowly pans across the room: the sofa in the center, the trio frozen in a tense triangle. Sunlight catches the edges of the furniture and beads of sweat on BETHANY’s forehead. The unresolved energy hangs heavy in the air, a silent storm waiting to erupt.
