The house is quiet. Brooke sits in the living room, looking nervous and distracted.

Cameron watches her carefully. He knows Larry will be worried when he finds out where Brooke is.

Cameron takes out his phone and looks at Larry’s name.

He hesitates for a moment before pressing CALL.

The phone rings.

LARRY

Cameron? What’s going on?

Cameron takes a deep breath.

CAMERON

Larry, I wanted to let you know that Brooke is here with me.

Larry immediately becomes serious.

LARRY

Brooke is with you?

CAMERON

Yeah. She’s safe. Don’t worry.

Larry stands up from his chair.

His expression changes from confusion to concern.

LARRY

Why didn’t Brooke tell me?

Cameron looks toward Brooke.

CAMERON

I don’t know. She probably needed some time away.

Larry grabs his jacket.

LARRY

I’m coming over.

CAMERON

Larry, calm down. She’s okay.

Larry pauses at the door.

LARRY

I’m not angry because she’s safe. I’m angry because I had no idea where she was.

He ends the call.

Brooke, what were you thinking?

He leaves the house.

🎬 SCENE 4 — INT. CAMERON’S HOUSE — EVENING

Brooke sits quietly on the couch.

Cameron notices that she keeps looking toward the window.

CAMERON

You know Larry is probably worried about you.

Brooke lowers her eyes.

BROOKE

I didn’t mean to make anyone worry.

Cameron sits across from her.

CAMERON

Then you should talk to him when he gets here.

BROOKE

He’s coming here?

Cameron nods.

CAMERON

Yes. I told him you were here.

Brooke becomes nervous.

BROOKE

Why did you call him?

CAMERON

Because he deserves to know you’re safe.

Brooke sighs.

She knows Larry will have questions.

LARRY

Where’s Brooke?

Cameron points toward the living room.

CAMERON

She’s inside.

Larry walks into the house.

Brooke looks up.

Her eyes widen when she sees him.

BROOKE

Larry? How did you get here so fast?

Larry looks at her with a mixture of anger and relief.

LARRY

Cameron called me.

Brooke slowly stands.

BROOKE

I didn’t know he was going to call you.

LARRY

You disappeared, Brooke. What did you expect me to do?

Brooke looks down.

🎬 SCENE 6 — INT. CAMERON’S LIVING ROOM — CONTINUOUS

Cameron watches the two of them.

He realizes this conversation is something they need to have privately.

CAMERON

I’m going to give you two a minute.

Cameron steps away.

LARRY

Why did you leave without telling me?

BROOKE

I needed some space.

Larry’s expression softens slightly.

LARRY

You could have told me that.

BROOKE

I didn’t think you would understand.

Larry shakes his head.

LARRY

Maybe I wouldn’t have understood everything, but I would have listened.

Brooke becomes emotional.

BROOKE

I’m sorry.

Larry takes a breath.

LARRY

I was scared something had happened to you.

Brooke nods quietly.

🎬 SCENE 7 — INT. CAMERON’S HOUSE — LATER

LARRY

Thank you for keeping her safe.

Cameron nods.

CAMERON

Of course.

Larry turns back toward Brooke.

LARRY

But you’re coming home with me.

Brooke looks surprised.

BROOKE

Right now?

LARRY

Yes.

Brooke hesitates.

BROOKE

Larry, I—

Larry raises his hand, asking her to listen.

LARRY

We’re going home, and we’re going to talk calmly.

Brooke looks toward Cameron.

Cameron gives her a reassuring nod.

Larry opens the passenger door.

Brooke stops for a moment.

Thank you, Cameron.

Finally, Brooke breaks the silence.

BROOKE

Are you still angry?

Larry exhales.

LARRY

I’m upset because you left without telling me.

Brooke nods.

BROOKE

I understand.

Larry glances at her.

LARRY

I just want you to know that you can always tell me what’s going on.

BROOKE

I’ll try.

Larry nods.

The tension slowly begins to fade.

He looks at Brooke seriously.

LARRY

We’re going to work this out.

BROOKE

Okay.

Larry’s expression finally softens.

LARRY

I’m glad you’re safe.

Brooke gives a small nod.

The room becomes quiet.

After everything that happened, both of them realize that the real conversation is only beginning.

Larry walks toward the living room.

Brooke follows.

The door closes behind them.

FADE OUT.
