1. Brooke Runs Away From Home

In the world of Kountry Wayne, a new storm brews every other day, but this time it hit straight home for Larry. His daughter Brooke, fed up with her father’s strict rules and constant demands, packed her bags one day in a fit of rage and ran away from home.

She thought she would live an independent life and make her own decisions, but Larry was no ordinary father. He knew exactly how to bring Brooke back to reality.

Without wasting a single moment, Larry immediately blocked all of Brooke’s credit cards and the SIM card under her name. Within just a few days, whatever spare cash Brooke had ran out completely.

She had no place to stay, no money for food, and no way to contact anyone. Worn down by hunger, exhaustion, and helplessness, Brooke was finally forced to swallow her pride and came dragging herself back home.

2. Larry Gives Brooke a Final Ultimatum

The moment Brooke opened the front door, Larry was standing in the hallway with his arms crossed, boiling with rage. The moment he set eyes on her, his patience snapped.

“Oh! So the princess finally remembered the way back home?” Larry’s voice boomed through the entire house.

“Did you think you were going to show up your father, run away, and I’d just keep funding your lavish lifestyle? I turned off your cards and your phone line specifically so you’d realize just how brutal it is to survive out in this world on your own!”

Brooke tried to speak, but Larry cut her off with a wave of his hand. He laid down a strict and final warning.

“Now listen to me very carefully! You only have two choices. If you quietly go to university and finish your education, I will take full responsibility for every single one of your needs, your studies, and all your living expenses.”
“BUT… if you refuse to go to university, then from this day on, your food, your clothes, and every expense will be entirely on you. I won’t give you a single penny!”

Brooke, being stubborn by nature, looked Larry straight in the eye and flatly refused.

“I am NOT going to your university! I can make my own choices, and I’ll earn my own money by getting a job!”

Larry let out a sarcastic laugh.

“Fine then! I’d love to see how many days you actually survive on your own!”

3. Brooke Finds a Job at Whataburger

With the university path closed, Brooke’s biggest challenge was finding work. She spent hours wandering around the city, and finally landed a shift job at a Whataburger fast-food restaurant.

But the real drama was yet to unfold!

When Brooke stepped inside for her counter training and cleaning duties, her eyes popped wide open. Standing right there in the red and white Whataburger uniforms were Hope and Faith.

Both of them were already working there.

The moment Hope saw Brooke walking toward the order counter, she burst out laughing right by the deep fryer.
“Oh my goodness! Faith, look who just walked in! Our neighborhood princess is about to fry burgers right alongside us!”

Faith spotted the wiping rag and the Whataburger cap in Brooke’s hand and chimed in mockingly.

“My, how quickly tables turn, huh Brooke? Just yesterday you were jumping around on Larry’s dime, and today you’re pulling shifts with us. Come on now, less talking and go clean Table 3!”

4. Brooke Faces Humiliation on Her First Day

Brooke wanted to turn around and run, but her pockets were empty and Larry’s condition was ringing in her head.

She quietly adjusted the Whataburger hat on her head and got to work. The heat radiating off the grill, the noisy customers, and Hope and Faith’s constant taunts made Brooke’s very first day excruciatingly tough.

Every time a customer placed an order, Hope and Faith would deliberately shove Brooke forward.

“Go ahead Brooke, take the customer’s order!”

And whenever Brooke made a mistake, the two of them would join forces to laugh at her.

Brooke had never imagined that her first working day would be filled with so much pressure and embarrassment.

By the end of the day, Brooke’s feet were aching terribly, and all of her pride had melted away onto the greasy Whataburger floor.

However, she made up her mind that she wouldn’t give in to Larry or run back to university.
