Both reports revealed the same shocking answer: NEGATIVE!
Laresha finally apologized, but one unexpected phone call threatened to change everything.
LARESHA’S SHOCKING DISCOVERY — HOPE & FAITH ARE NOT PREGNANT!
Laresha Confronts Hope and Faith
Laresha stood in the living room, watching Hope and Faith talking quietly on the couch. Something about their recent behavior had been bothering her for days. She had noticed them whispering to each other, avoiding certain conversations, and becoming uncomfortable whenever pregnancy was mentioned. Laresha had started believing that both girls were hiding something from her.
She finally decided that she could not ignore her suspicions anymore.
LARESHA: “Hope, Faith, I need to ask you both something, and I want you to be completely honest with me. Is there something going on that you haven’t told me?”
HOPE: “What are you talking about? We haven’t hidden anything from you.”
FAITH: “Why are you suddenly asking us these questions? Did somebody tell you something?”
Laresha crossed her arms, looking at both girls seriously.
LARESHA: “I’ve been noticing things, and honestly, I think you two might be pregnant. I don’t want anyone lying to me. We are going to the hospital today.”
Hope immediately looked at Faith, surprised by the accusation.
HOPE: “Laresha, you can’t just assume something like that. We’re telling you there’s nothing going on.”
FAITH: “Exactly. Why would you think we’re pregnant without knowing anything?”
LARESHA: “Then taking a test shouldn’t be a problem. I want to make sure everything is clear.”
Neither girl wanted another argument. Hope picked up her purse while Faith quietly followed her toward the door. Laresha grabbed her keys, convinced that the hospital would finally confirm what she believed.
An Uncomfortable Journey to the Hospital
During the drive, the atmosphere inside the car was uncomfortable. Hope stared out of the window, while Faith occasionally looked toward Laresha through the rearview mirror.
HOPE: “I honestly don’t understand why you don’t believe us.”
LARESHA: “I’m not trying to fight with you. I’m just concerned.”
FAITH: “But there’s a difference between being concerned and accusing somebody of something.”
Laresha didn’t respond. She kept her eyes on the road, determined to get the answers she wanted.
When they arrived at the hospital, Laresha immediately walked toward the reception desk. She explained that she wanted pregnancy tests for both girls. The receptionist provided the necessary information, and a nurse guided Hope and Faith toward the testing area.
Hope looked nervous about the situation, not because she suspected anything was wrong, but because she hated being questioned and judged.
HOPE: “I wish we didn’t have to go through all this.”
FAITH: “Don’t worry. Once the results come back, she’ll understand that she was wrong.”
Laresha sat in the waiting area, repeatedly checking the time. She imagined what she would say if her suspicions turned out to be correct. She had already prepared herself for an uncomfortable conversation.
The Pregnancy Test Results Shock Everyone
After some time, a nurse approached them.
NURSE: “The results are ready. Please come with me.”
Laresha immediately stood up. Hope and Faith followed the nurse into a consultation room.
The nurse placed the reports on the desk and explained the results.
NURSE: “Both pregnancy tests are negative. Neither Hope nor Faith is pregnant.”
For a moment, nobody said anything.
Laresha looked down at the reports, then back at the nurse.
LARESHA: “Are you absolutely sure? Both results are negative?”
NURSE: “Yes. Both reports show negative results.”
Laresha picked up the papers and read them carefully. She checked Hope’s name, then Faith’s name. There was no mistake. Both results clearly said NEGATIVE.
Her expression changed completely.
She had arrived at the hospital believing she would discover a secret. Instead, she had discovered that her suspicions had been wrong all along.
HOPE: “Now do you believe us?”
Laresha couldn’t immediately answer.
FAITH: “We told you there was nothing to hide. You didn’t believe either of us.”
Laresha lowered the reports, looking embarrassed.
LARESHA: “I honestly thought something was happening. I didn’t know what else to think.”
HOPE: “But you made us feel like we had done something wrong.”
Faith shook her head in disappointment.
FAITH: “You should have trusted us instead of bringing us here because of your assumptions.”
Laresha remained quiet. The results had removed every doubt she had been carrying, but they had also forced her to face how much her accusations had hurt the girls.
LARESHA: “I need some time to think. Let’s go home.”
The Silent Drive Back Home
The drive back was even quieter than the journey to the hospital. Laresha kept glancing at the two girls, but neither Hope nor Faith seemed interested in talking.
She continued thinking about the reports. She had been so certain that something was wrong, yet the results had proved otherwise. Now she realized that her suspicions had created unnecessary tension between them.
Hope looked outside the window, while Faith remained quiet beside her. Neither girl wanted to continue arguing, but both were clearly disappointed by Laresha’s behavior.
When they finally arrived home, Hope went straight to the living room and sat down. Faith placed her purse on the table and walked toward the kitchen.
Laresha entered a few moments later, still holding the hospital reports.
She looked at Hope, then at Faith.
LARESHA: “Can both of you please sit down? I need to talk to you.”
HOPE: “What is there left to talk about? The reports already answered your questions.”
LARESHA: “I know, and that’s exactly why I want to talk.”
Faith slowly turned around.
FAITH: “Are you going to accuse us of something else?”
Laresha Finally Apologizes
Laresha took a deep breath. Her expression softened, and her voice became quieter.
LARESHA: “No. I came here to apologize.”
Hope looked surprised.
HOPE: “Apologize?”
Laresha nodded.
LARESHA: “Yes. I was wrong. I allowed my suspicions to control the way I treated both of you. I should have listened when you told me the truth. Instead, I kept questioning you and making you feel uncomfortable.”
She placed the two negative reports on the coffee table.
LARESHA: “These reports made me realize that I had no reason to doubt you. I am sorry for putting you through this.”
Faith looked at Hope before responding.
FAITH: “Do you understand how embarrassing this was for us? We had to come to the hospital because you wouldn’t believe our words.”
LARESHA: “I understand. And I know saying sorry won’t immediately make everything better. But I genuinely regret what I did.”
Hope looked down at the reports.
HOPE: “We don’t want you thinking we’re hiding things from you. If something important happens, we should be able to talk to you without feeling scared of being judged.”
Laresha nodded.
LARESHA: “You’re right. I should have given you that comfort. I promise I’ll try to trust you more.”
Faith finally sat down beside Hope.
FAITH: “We accept your apology, but please don’t make assumptions about us again.”
LARESHA: “I won’t. I made a mistake, and I don’t want to repeat it.”
For the first time that day, the tension in the room began to disappear. Laresha sat beside the girls, hoping they would understand that her apology was genuine.
An Unexpected Phone Call Changes Everything
But just as the three of them were beginning to move past the uncomfortable situation, Laresha’s phone suddenly rang.
She looked at the screen and noticed an unfamiliar number.
HOPE: “Who’s calling you?”
LARESHA: “I don’t know. It’s a number I haven’t seen before.”
She answered the call.
LARESHA: “Hello?”
A woman’s voice came through the phone.
WOMAN: “Am I speaking to Laresha? I need to ask you something about Hope and Faith.”
Laresha immediately looked toward the two girls.
LARESHA: “Who is this? And what do you want with them?”
The woman paused before responding.
WOMAN: “I heard you took both girls to the hospital today for pregnancy tests. I know their results were negative, but there’s something you need to understand before you make another mistake.”
Laresha’s expression changed.
LARESHA: “What are you talking about? The reports were clear.”
WOMAN: “I’m not questioning the reports. I’m calling because I know something about what happened today, and Hope and Faith deserve to know the truth.”
Hope and Faith exchanged confused looks.
Laresha slowly lowered the phone, her earlier relief replaced by a new wave of uncertainty.
LARESHA: “Who told you about our hospital visit?”
The woman took another pause.
WOMAN: “That’s exactly what I want to discuss. But before I explain, you need to let me speak directly to Hope and Faith.”
Laresha looked at the girls, who were now waiting anxiously for an explanation.
HOPE: “Laresha, who is that woman?”
Laresha raised the phone again.
LARESHA: “You can talk to them. But first, tell me your name.”
Denise’s Name Leaves Hope and Faith Speechless
The woman finally answered.
WOMAN: “My name is Denise. And I think Hope and Faith already know why I’m calling.”
Hope’s face suddenly changed as she heard the name.
FAITH: “Wait… Denise?”
Laresha turned toward Faith, completely confused.
LARESHA: “You know this woman?”
Faith looked at Hope, then back at Laresha.
FAITH: “Yes, but we never expected her to call us.”
Laresha tightened her grip on the phone.
LARESHA: “Then somebody better explain what’s going on, because I thought today’s hospital visit was supposed to end all these questions!”
Hope slowly reached for the phone.
HOPE: “Laresha, let me talk to her. There’s something we need to find out.”
Laresha handed Hope the phone, but her eyes remained fixed on Faith. She couldn’t understand why both girls had reacted so strangely to Denise’s name.
Hope brought the phone closer to her ear.
HOPE: “Denise, it’s Hope. Why are you calling us? What happened?”
For a moment, there was silence on the other end.
Then Denise finally spoke.
DENISE: “Hope, I need both of you to listen carefully. I didn’t call to discuss the pregnancy tests. I called because there’s something important I need to tell you, and I don’t think Laresha knows anything about it.”
Hope looked at Faith. Faith slowly stood up, her expression becoming increasingly serious.
HOPE: “What is it, Denise? You’re starting to scare us.”
Denise lowered her voice.
DENISE: “I can’t explain everything over the phone. But I need to see both of you as soon as possible.”
Laresha stepped closer, unable to hide her concern.
LARESHA: “Why do you need to see them? Whatever you have to say, you can say it right now.”
Denise paused before giving her final response.
DENISE: “Laresha, this conversation isn’t just about you. Hope and Faith deserve to hear it directly from me.”
Hope slowly lowered the phone and looked at Laresha.
Laresha looked from Hope to Faith, realizing that the negative pregnancy reports had not ended the questions surrounding the girls.
Now Denise was asking to meet them, and neither Hope nor Faith seemed prepared for what she might reveal.
Laresha finally spoke in a worried voice.
LARESHA: “Hope, Faith, what exactly is going on? Why does Denise want to speak to both of you privately?”
Hope looked at Faith, waiting for her to answer. But Faith remained silent, staring at the phone.
Then Denise’s voice came through one final time.
DENISE: “Please don’t ignore this call. You need to hear what I have to tell you before it’s too late.”
Laresha’s eyes widened. Hope and Faith exchanged another worried glance, and the room fell completely silent.
What could Denise possibly know? Why had Hope and Faith reacted so strongly to her name? And what was so important that she needed to meet them immediately?
