Brooke, Bethany & Isaiah: A Dangerous Plan Takes a Dark Turn

INT. BROOKE’S BEDROOM – EVENING 🌙

Brooke sat on the edge of her bed, staring at her phone. She took a deep breath before calling Isaiah.

The phone rang twice.

BROOKE
“Hey, Isaiah. It’s me. I just wanted to talk to you.”

She listened carefully, smiling for a moment.

BROOKE
“Yeah, I know things have been crazy lately. I just… I needed to hear your voice.”

Suddenly, the bedroom door opened.

Bethany walked inside and immediately noticed Brooke on the phone.

BETHANY
“Brooke, who are you talking to?”

BROOKE
“Isaiah.”

Bethany nodded and sat down.

BETHANY
“Okay. When you’re finished, we need to have a serious conversation about college.”

BROOKE
“Mom, can it wait?”

BETHANY
“No. Your future is important, and I want to make sure you understand what you’re getting into.”

Brooke looked down at her phone.

BROOKE
“Isaiah, can I call you back?”

She ended the call.

The room suddenly became quiet.

INT. BROOKE’S BEDROOM – CONTINUOUS

Bethany looked at Brooke with a concerned expression.

BETHANY
“I’m not trying to ruin anything for you.”

BROOKE
“It just feels like everyone keeps telling me what I should do.”

Bethany softened.

BETHANY
“I’m telling you because I care about you. College is a huge step, Brooke. You’re going to have new responsibilities, new people, and new choices.”

BROOKE
“I know.”

BETHANY
“And Isaiah is part of your life, but your future matters too.”

Brooke looked toward the window.

BROOKE
“I just don’t want to lose him.”

Bethany reached for her hand.

BETHANY
“You don’t have to lose anyone just because you’re growing up.”

For a moment, Brooke felt relieved. ❤️

INT. LIVING ROOM – LATER

Brooke and Bethany continued their conversation downstairs.

BROOKE
“Mom, I’m scared that once college starts, everything is going to change.”

BETHANY
“Change is scary. But it can also be good.”

Brooke looked at her.

BROOKE
“Will you really be there for me?”

BETHANY
“Always.”

The words made Brooke emotional.

But then her phone buzzed.

📱 ISAIAH: “Can we talk tonight?”

Brooke immediately showed Bethany.

BROOKE
“He wants to talk.”

Bethany’s expression became serious.

BETHANY
“Then talk to him.”

BROOKE
“What if he tells me something I don’t want to hear?”

BETHANY
“Then we’ll deal with it.”

INT. KITCHEN – NIGHT 🌃

Later that evening, Brooke and Bethany sat at the kitchen table.

Brooke looked worried.

BROOKE
“Isaiah might leave.”

Bethany frowned.

BETHANY
“Leave where?”

BROOKE
“He didn’t say.”

Bethany became increasingly concerned.

BETHANY
“Brooke, you can’t let fear take over.”

BROOKE
“I don’t want him disappearing from my life.”

Bethany took a deep breath.

BETHANY
“I understand.”

There was a long silence.

Then Brooke whispered something that shocked Bethany.

BROOKE
“What if we stop him?”

Bethany stared at her.

BETHANY
“Brooke… what are you thinking?”

Brooke looked nervous.

BROOKE
“I don’t know. I just don’t want him to leave.”

Bethany immediately shook her head.

BETHANY
“We are not going to hurt him or force him into anything.”

Brooke lowered her eyes.

BROOKE
“I just want him to stay.”

BETHANY
“Then talk to him. That’s the only way.”

INT. LIVING ROOM – LATER THAT NIGHT

Brooke received another message.

📱 ISAIAH: “I need to make a decision tomorrow.”

Brooke’s face fell.

BROOKE
“Tomorrow?”

Bethany looked at the message.

BETHANY
“You need to speak with him before then.”

Brooke nodded.

BROOKE
“Maybe you’re right.”

Bethany smiled.

BETHANY
“I usually am.”

Brooke laughed despite herself. 😅

EXT. HOUSE – NIGHT

Brooke stepped outside for some fresh air.

Bethany followed.

BETHANY
“Brooke.”

Brooke turned around.

BETHANY
“Whatever happens tomorrow, don’t do something you’ll regret.”

Brooke looked emotional.

BROOKE
“I promise.”

Bethany hugged her.

BETHANY
“We’ll figure this out together.”

INT. BROOKE’S BEDROOM – LATER

Brooke sat on her bed and called Isaiah again.

BROOKE
“Isaiah, please listen to me.”

ISAIAH
“I’m listening.”

BROOKE
“I don’t want to control your decision. I just want you to understand that people care about you.”

Isaiah remained silent.

BROOKE
“If you’re thinking about leaving, please talk to me first.”

ISAIAH
“Okay. I will.”

Brooke finally smiled.

BROOKE
“Thank you.”

She ended the call.

Bethany stood in the doorway.

BETHANY
“How did it go?”

BROOKE
“Better than I expected.”

Bethany smiled.

BETHANY
“See? Sometimes talking is more powerful than trying to control the situation.”

Brooke nodded.

INT. HOUSE – NIGHT

The two sat together in silence.

The plan Brooke had briefly imagined was gone. Instead, they had chosen communication.

But neither of them realized that Isaiah was still keeping something important from them.

📱 Brooke’s phone suddenly buzzed again.

She looked at the screen.

Her smile disappeared.

BROOKE
“Mom…”

Bethany looked over.

BETHANY
“What happened?”

Brooke slowly turned the phone toward her.

BROOKE
“Isaiah says we need to talk tomorrow.”

Bethany took a deep breath.

BETHANY
“Then tomorrow, we face the truth.”

Brooke nodded.

Outside, thunder rumbled in the distance. ⛈️

The night suddenly felt much heavier.

Whatever Isaiah was about to reveal could change everything.

FADE OUT.
