SCENE 1 — THE QUESTION THAT WOULDN’T GO AWAY

Bethany sat on the edge of the sofa, holding the divorce papers Larry had left behind. She had read every page so many times that she could almost remember every word. But one question continued to haunt her: Why now?

She called Larry, but he refused to give her a clear explanation. His silence only strengthened her suspicion that something had happened behind her back. One name kept returning to her mind: Sharra.

SCENE 2 — A CLUE IN THE PAPERWORK

Bethany spread the divorce papers across her kitchen table. A memory suddenly returned: several weeks earlier, Larry had received a phone call during dinner and stepped outside. When he returned, his expression had changed.

Bethany called Sharra immediately. After a tense conversation, Sharra agreed to meet her at the café on Willow Street the following morning. But her warning suggested she knew far more than she had ever admitted.

SCENE 3 — SHARRA’S UNEXPECTED WARNING

That evening, Sharra opened a cabinet and removed a folder containing several documents and a folded sheet of paper. Before she could examine it further, Larry called. He wanted to know whether Bethany had contacted her.

When Sharra demanded an explanation, Larry abruptly ended the call. She stared toward the cabinet, realizing that the secret inside her folder might soon become impossible to hide.

SCENE 4 — TWO WOMEN, ONE MARRIAGE

The following morning, Bethany arrived at the café early. When Sharra entered, neither woman smiled. Bethany wanted direct answers, not another conversation filled with warnings and unanswered questions.

Sharra eventually admitted that she had spoken with Larry about his future. Bethany’s patience began to disappear as she realized that their conversations might have played a part in the decision that was tearing her marriage apart.

SCENE 5 — THE DOCUMENT SHARRA NEVER WANTED TO SHOW

Sharra finally removed a folded document from her handbag. She explained that Larry had given it to her before the divorce papers were delivered. Bethany could hardly believe that Sharra had kept it hidden all this time.

Bethany unfolded the document and stopped at a particular paragraph. It referred to information allegedly shared with Larry before he decided to pursue a divorce. But the document did not prove who had provided that information or whether it was true.

SCENE 6 — LARRY’S SECRET CALL

That evening, Bethany confronted Larry over the phone. She told him about her meeting with Sharra and demanded to know why he had trusted someone else’s information instead of speaking openly with his own wife.

After the call, Larry opened a second folder hidden in his desk. An unknown caller then contacted him and asked whether Bethany had discovered the truth. When Larry admitted that she had seen part of the document, the caller issued a chilling warning.

SCENE 7 — THE FINAL PIECE

Later that night, Bethany arrived at Larry’s house determined to get the truth. Larry finally brought out the hidden folder, but when she reached the final sheet, her expression changed instantly.

Before Larry could answer, Sharra appeared in the doorway carrying another envelope. She placed it beside the folder and revealed that the person who sent Larry the information had wanted the marriage to end before Bethany discovered what had really happened.

Bethany opened the envelope and pulled out a photograph. The moment she saw the image, all the color seemed to drain from her face.

Before either Larry or Sharra could explain the photograph, someone knocked loudly at the front door. An unfamiliar voice called Larry’s name and demanded to discuss what he had done. Larry froze. Sharra stepped backward in shock.
