Summary
Jade demands money from Purnell, but he refuses because he has no money and believes he owes her nothing. Desperate to resolve the situation, Purnell asks Larry for help. Jade Demands Money
Jade stands in front of Purnell, impatiently demanding money. Purnell checks his pockets but realizes he has nothing to give her.
JADE:
Purnell, I need my money. You cannot keep making excuses every time I ask you for it.
PURNELL:
Jade, I have already told you that I don’t have any money right now. What exactly do you expect me to do?
Jade steps closer, refusing to accept his explanation.
JADE:
That is not my problem. You need to find a way to pay me. I am not going to keep waiting forever.
PURNELL:
But I never even had any romantic relationship with you. If nothing happened between us, why should I give you money? Tell me what exactly I am supposed to be paying you for.
Jade becomes irritated and refuses to back down.
JADE:
Don’t pretend you don’t understand what I am talking about. I am asking you for money, and I expect you to give it to me.
PURNELL:
Jade, please understand. I genuinely don’t have the money. Even if I wanted to give it to you, I couldn’t do it right now.
JADE:
Then find someone who can help you. I don’t care how you manage it. Just make sure I get my money.
Frustrated and helpless, Purnell turns toward the door.
PURNELL:

PURNELL:
Larry, I need your help. I need some money, and I need it right now.
LARRY:
Money? Why do you need money so urgently?
PURNELL:
Jade is demanding money from me. She keeps pressuring me, and I don’t have anything to give her. I need you to help me out.
Larry immediately shakes his head, unwilling to become involved.
LARRY:
No, Purnell. I can’t do that. You need to handle your own problems instead of coming to me every time something goes wrong.
PURNELL:
Larry, please. I’m not asking you for fun. I wouldn’t come to you if I had another option.
LARRY:
I said no. I don’t want to get dragged into whatever is happening between you and Jade.
Purnell continues pleading, desperate for a solution.

Larry finally sighs and gives in.

Alright, enough. Stop begging me. I’ll handle it myself. I’ll go and give Jade the money personally.
PURNELL:

LARRY:

Larry takes the money and leaves. Unbeknownst to him, Bethany notices his movements and begins to grow suspicious.
Bethany Secretly Follows Larry
Bethany sees Larry walking down the hallway with money in his hand. She becomes curious when she realizes he is heading toward Jade’s room.

Where is Larry going? And why does he have money in his hand?
She watches him enter Jade’s room. Unable to ignore her suspicions, Bethany quietly follows him.
BETHANY:
Why would he need to give Jade money? What is going on between them?
Bethany approaches the door and listens carefully. She decides to look inside before confronting Larry.

JADE:
Larry? What are you doing here?
LARRY:
Purnell told me about your situation. He said you needed money, so I decided to bring it myself.
JADE:
So, Purnell sent you to pay me?
LARRY:
Not exactly. He asked me for help, but I decided to handle this personally. Here, take the money.
Jade accepts the money and looks at Larry with a small smile.
JADE:
Well, I appreciate that you came yourself. At least someone is taking this situation seriously.
LARRY:
Just take it and let this matter end here. I don’t want any more arguments over money.
JADE:
Fine. If this is what it takes to settle things, then I’ll accept it.
Larry stands in front of Jade, unaware that Bethany is just outside the door.
Bethany Opens the Door
Bethany quietly reaches Jade’s room and pushes the door open. The moment she looks inside, she freezes in shock.
She sees Larry handing money to Jade. Her eyes widen, and she struggles to understand what she is witnessing.

Larry? What are you doing here?
LARRY:
Bethany? Why are you here?

I should be asking you that question! Why are you giving Jade money?
LARRY:
It’s not what you think. Purnell asked me to help him, so I came here to give Jade the money.
BETHANY:

Bethany turns toward the door and walks away. Larry immediately follows her with his eyes, realizing that he may have damaged their relationship.
LARRY:

Bethany pauses but refuses to turn around.
