Mike, get away from me!
Dave freezes in disbelief, then rushes upstairs and pushes open the bedroom door.
MIKE! GET AWAY FROM HER!
Mike turns sharply. Dave’s ex immediately moves away from him and hurries toward Dave.
Dave! Please, get him away from me!
Are you okay? Did he hurt you?
I’m scared. He came in without permission. I told him to leave, but he wouldn’t listen!
You broke into her home and ignored her when she told you to stop? What is wrong with you?

Dave notices a baseball bat leaning near a storage cabinet. Furious, he grabs it and turns toward Mike.
You thought you could walk into her home and do whatever you wanted?
Dave, put that down! We can talk about this!

Dave raises the bat threateningly. His ex watches in alarm as Mike stares at the weapon, his confidence disappearing.
Dave, please! Don’t make this worse!

You don’t get to decide what happens to her. She has the right to say no, and you have no right to force yourself on her!
Dave swings the bat toward Mike. The screen cuts away at the moment of impact, leaving the injury unseen. A heavy thud breaks the silence. Mike stumbles out of view, and the bat drops to the floor.
