Outside the House — Late Afternoon
The atmosphere is tense. Dnisha stands near the entrance, trying to remain calm. She knows something is wrong, but she refuses to back down. Suddenly, Kai’s dad approaches her with an angry expression.
KAI’S DAD: You’re coming with me. I’m not asking anymore.
Dnisha takes a step backward.
DNISHA: I’m not going anywhere with you. Leave me alone.
Kai’s dad reaches for her arm. Dnisha quickly pulls away.
DNISHA: Don’t touch me!
He grabs her again, trying to forcefully take her with him. Dnisha struggles against him.
DNISHA: Let me go!
The situation becomes more heated. Dnisha pushes his hand away. Kai’s dad loses his temper. He suddenly shoves Dnisha. Dnisha loses her balance. Her eyes widen. She falls backward toward the staircase.
The Staircase — Continuous
Dnisha tumbles down the stairs. The sound of her fall echoes through the area. She finally lands at the bottom of the staircase. Everything becomes silent. Dnisha lies motionless. Her eyes are closed. Kai’s dad freezes for a moment. He looks down at her, realizing how serious the situation has become.
KAI’S DAD: Dnisha…
There is no response. He takes a step backward. At that exact moment, Anthony is returning. He is walking toward the house when something catches his attention. He looks toward the staircase. His expression immediately changes. He sees Dnisha lying at the bottom.
ANTHONY: Dnisha!
Anthony drops everything and runs toward her.
At the Bottom of the Stairs — Moments Later
Anthony kneels beside Dnisha. He gently lifts her head.
ANTHONY: Dnisha, please wake up.
No response. Anthony checks her face. She remains unconscious. His breathing becomes heavy.
ANTHONY: Dnisha, can you hear me?
He gently shakes her shoulder. Nothing. Anthony’s eyes begin filling with tears.
ANTHONY: No… no, please.
He looks at her helplessly. His mind races with fear. For a moment, he believes he may have lost her.
ANTHONY: Please don’t leave me.
Anthony carefully lifts Dnisha into his arms. He holds her tightly. Tears roll down his face.
ANTHONY: You’re going to be okay. I promise.
But his voice is shaking. He looks at Dnisha again. She still has not opened her eyes.
Outside the House — Continuous
Anthony carries Dnisha toward his car. He moves as quickly as he can while trying to keep her safe. Kai’s dad remains near the staircase. Anthony looks at him with anger and disbelief.
ANTHONY: What did you do to her?
Kai’s dad says nothing. Anthony does not wait for an answer. He carefully places Dnisha inside the car. He immediately gets into the driver’s seat. His hands tremble as he reaches for his phone.
Inside Anthony’s Car — Moments Later
Anthony starts the engine. He grabs his phone and immediately calls 911.
911 DISPATCHER: 911. What is your emergency?
Anthony struggles to control his emotions.
ANTHONY: My friend has been seriously injured. She fell down a staircase and she’s unconscious.
The dispatcher asks for the location. Anthony quickly provides the information.
ANTHONY: Please send an ambulance. Please hurry!
He looks toward Dnisha. She is still unconscious in the back seat. Anthony wipes away his tears.
ANTHONY: Stay with me, Dnisha.
He takes a deep breath.
ANTHONY: You’re not going anywhere. Do you hear me?
Outside the House — Minutes Later
Police vehicles arrive at the scene. Their lights flash across the street. Officers quickly approach the house. An ambulance arrives shortly afterward. Paramedics rush toward Dnisha. Anthony steps out of the car.
ANTHONY: She fell down the stairs. She hasn’t woken up.
The paramedics immediately begin checking Dnisha. Anthony watches anxiously.
ANTHONY: Please help her.
One of the paramedics reassures him.
PARAMEDIC: We’re going to take care of her.
Anthony nods, but his eyes remain fixed on Dnisha.
The Arrest — Moments Later
Meanwhile, the police approach Kai’s dad. An officer speaks firmly.
OFFICER: Sir, step away from the scene.
Kai’s dad looks toward Dnisha.
KAI’S DAD: I didn’t mean for this to happen.
The officer remains serious.
OFFICER: You need to come with us.
Kai’s dad tries to explain himself.
KAI’S DAD: I was only trying to take her with me.
OFFICER: We’ll discuss everything at the station.
The officer places him under arrest. Kai’s dad is escorted away from the house. Anthony watches silently. His anger is mixed with fear for Dnisha.
The Ambulance — Continuous
The paramedics carefully place Dnisha onto a stretcher. Anthony walks beside them.
ANTHONY: Can I come with her?
PARAMEDIC: You can follow us to the hospital.
Anthony nods. He looks at Dnisha one more time.
ANTHONY: Please wake up.
The ambulance doors close. The siren begins to sound. Anthony stands there for a moment, watching the ambulance leave. His eyes fill with tears again.
Anthony’s Car — Moments Later
Anthony gets into his car. He grips the steering wheel tightly. His mind keeps replaying the moment he found Dnisha unconscious.
ANTHONY: I should have been there…
He takes a deep breath.
ANTHONY: I’m coming, Dnisha.
He starts the engine and follows the ambulance toward the hospital. The camera slowly pulls back. The ambulance disappears down the road. Anthony follows close behind. The fate of Dnisha remains uncertain. And somewhere ahead, a hospital emergency room is waiting.
