D’Nisha Catches Kai’s Father With Her Cousin — Everything Changes!
SCENE 1 — KAI’S FATHER COMES TO APOLOGIZE
The afternoon is quiet when D’Nisha hears a knock at her front door. She walks toward the door, expecting a normal visitor, but the moment she opens it, she is surprised to see Kai’s father standing outside.
He looks nervous and serious. It is obvious that he has come with something important to say.
KAI’S FATHER
“D’Nisha, I know I have made mistakes, and I know that I hurt you. I came here because I want to apologize. I am asking you to forgive me.”
D’Nisha listens quietly. She does not look impressed by his apology. Instead, she keeps a serious expression on her face.
D’NISHA
“You are too late. I have already heard your apologies before, and nothing really changed.”
Kai’s father takes a breath and tries to explain himself.
KAI’S FATHER
“I understand why you are angry. But I am still Kai’s father. I want to be there for my son, and I do not want us to continue fighting forever.”
D’Nisha shakes her head.
D’NISHA
“Being Kai’s father does not give you the right to come back into my life whenever you want.”
She pauses before making her feelings completely clear.
“There is no place for you in my heart anymore. So please leave my house.”
Kai’s father looks disappointed, but before he can say anything else, D’Nisha’s cousin arrives and hears part of the conversation.
SCENE 2 — HER COUSIN TRIES TO CHANGE D’NISHA’S MIND
D’Nisha’s cousin walks closer and looks at Kai’s father. She can see that he is hurt by D’Nisha’s reaction.
D’NISHA’S COUSIN
“D’Nisha, maybe you should at least listen to him. He is Kai’s father. Whatever happened between you two, you still have a connection because of Kai.”
D’Nisha immediately becomes irritated.
D’NISHA
“Why are you taking his side? You should understand how I feel instead of defending him.”
Her cousin tries to calm her down.
D’NISHA’S COUSIN
“I am not taking his side. I am only saying that you should hear him out.”
D’Nisha looks at her cousin seriously.
D’NISHA
“You do not understand everything I have been through. You only see him standing here and apologizing. You did not experience everything that happened before today.”
Kai’s father lowers his head.
KAI’S FATHER
“I am not asking you to forget everything. I just want an opportunity to make things right.”
D’Nisha points toward the door.
D’NISHA
“Then start by respecting my decision. I asked you to leave.”
The room becomes silent. Kai’s father finally walks toward the door.
SCENE 3 — D’NISHA QUESTIONS HER COUSIN
After Kai’s father leaves, D’Nisha turns toward her cousin. She is still upset because she feels that her cousin did not understand her position.
D’NISHA
“I do not understand you. Why were you defending him so much?”
D’NISHA’S COUSIN
“Because he is Kai’s father. I thought maybe there was still a chance for you two to work things out.”
D’Nisha immediately responds.
D’NISHA
“That decision belongs to me, not you.”
Her cousin becomes quiet.
D’NISHA
“Please do not bring him into my personal decisions anymore. I need you to respect how I feel.”
Her cousin nods.
D’NISHA’S COUSIN
“Okay. I understand.”
D’Nisha takes a deep breath. She believes the argument is finally over, but she has no idea that another confrontation is waiting for her.
SCENE 4 — D’NISHA GOES TO HER COUSIN’S HOUSE
Later that day, D’Nisha decides to visit her cousin. She wants to check on her and hopefully put the earlier argument behind them.
When D’Nisha arrives at the house, she knocks on the door. There is no immediate response.
She knocks again.
D’NISHA
“Hello? Are you home?”
The door is unlocked, so D’Nisha carefully steps inside.
The house is unusually quiet. She walks down the hallway while calling for her cousin.
D’NISHA
“Where are you?”
Suddenly, she hears voices coming from one of the rooms.
D’Nisha stops.
She recognizes one of the voices.
Her expression changes immediately.
She slowly walks toward the room and looks inside.
D’NISHA IS SHOCKED!
Kai’s father is inside the room with D’Nisha’s cousin. They are together in a situation that immediately makes D’Nisha uncomfortable and suspicious.
For several seconds, D’Nisha simply stands in the doorway.
Then Kai’s father looks up.
His expression suddenly changes when he realizes that D’Nisha has seen them.
D’Nisha’s cousin also turns around and freezes.
SCENE 5 — D’NISHA STARTS CLAPPING
D’Nisha slowly walks into the room.
Instead of immediately shouting, she begins clapping her hands sarcastically.
Her expression makes it clear that she is furious.
D’NISHA
“Wow.”
Nobody knows what to say.
D’Nisha continues clapping.
D’NISHA
“Now I understand everything.”
Her cousin quickly stands up.
D’NISHA’S COUSIN
“D’Nisha, please wait. This is not what you think.”
D’Nisha looks at her in disbelief.
D’NISHA
“Not what I think?”
She looks at Kai’s father.
D’NISHA
“You came to my house today asking me to forgive you.”
Then she turns toward her cousin.
D’NISHA
“And you were standing there telling me that I should listen to him because he is Kai’s father.”
She shakes her head.
“So this is why you were defending him?”
Her cousin tries to speak, but D’Nisha does not let her finish.
D’NISHA
“Why are you two together? What exactly is going on here?”
SCENE 6 — THE QUESTIONS BEGIN
Kai’s father looks uncomfortable. He knows that D’Nisha is demanding an explanation.
KAI’S FATHER
“D’Nisha, you have the wrong idea.”
D’NISHA
“Then tell me the right idea!”
The room becomes completely silent.
Her cousin finally tries to explain.
D’NISHA’S COUSIN
“He came here because we needed to talk.”
D’NISHA
“Talk about what?”
Her cousin hesitates.
D’Nisha notices the hesitation immediately.
D’NISHA
“Why are you hesitating? If there is nothing wrong, then why can’t you simply tell me?”
Kai’s father finally speaks.
KAI’S FATHER
“I came here because I was trying to figure out what to do next. I knew you were angry with me, and I needed someone to talk to.”
D’Nisha looks at him with disbelief.
D’NISHA
“You had so many people you could talk to, and you chose my cousin?”
Her cousin steps forward.
D’NISHA’S COUSIN
“Nothing happened between us.”
D’Nisha looks at both of them.
D’NISHA
“Then why does this look so wrong?”
SCENE 7 — A SHOCKING REVELATION
Kai’s father takes a deep breath. He realizes that the situation has become much more serious than he expected.
KAI’S FATHER
“D’Nisha, there is something you do not know.”
D’Nisha immediately looks at him.
D’NISHA
“What?”
He pauses before continuing.
KAI’S FATHER
“Your cousin was trying to help me talk to you.”
D’Nisha turns toward her cousin.
D’NISHA
“Then why didn’t either of you tell me?”
Her cousin lowers her eyes.
D’NISHA’S COUSIN
“Because I knew you would get angry.”
D’Nisha shakes her head.
D’NISHA
“And now you have made everything worse.”
She looks disappointed rather than simply angry.
D’NISHA
“I trusted you. You were the person telling me to listen to him. You were telling me that I should hear him out because he is Kai’s father. But now I find both of you together.”
SCENE 8 — D’NISHA WALKS AWAY
D’Nisha realizes that continuing the argument will not give her the answers she needs right now.
She takes a deep breath and heads toward the door.
D’NISHA
“I need both of you to stay away from me until I understand what is really happening.”
Her cousin looks heartbroken.
D’NISHA’S COUSIN
“D’Nisha, please. Let me explain everything.”
D’Nisha stops but does not turn around.
D’NISHA
“If there is something else you are hiding from me, I will find out.”
She walks out of the house.
Kai’s father and her cousin remain standing in silence.
After a few seconds, Kai’s father looks toward the door.
KAI’S FATHER
“What are we going to do now?”
Her cousin looks worried.
D’NISHA’S COUSIN
“I don’t know.”
