Dre Crosses the Line—Sharra Throws Him Out Before Larry Finds Out the Truth
SCENE 1 — SHARRA’S HOUSE — LATE AFTERNOON
The doorbell rings at Sharra’s house. Sharra walks toward the door, expecting someone familiar. When she opens it, she suddenly freezes. Dre, her ex, is standing outside with a small bag in his hand.
SHARRA
“Dre? What are you doing here?”
Dre looks tired and tries to sound calm.
DRE
“I need a favor. Can I stay here for two days?”
Sharra immediately shakes her head.
SHARRA
“No, Dre. You can’t stay here.”
Dre looks disappointed.
DRE
“Why not? I’m only asking for two days.”
Sharra keeps the door partly closed.
SHARRA
“Because Larry could come here. If he sees you staying at my house, it could create a serious problem for me.”
Dre sighs and tries to reassure her.
DRE
“Larry probably isn’t even coming here. I’m not staying forever. Just two days.”
Sharra remains firm.
SHARRA
“I said no. You need to find somewhere else.”
SCENE 2 — DRE REFUSES TO LEAVE
Dre continues trying to convince Sharra.
DRE
“Please, Sharra. I promise I’ll leave after two days. I just need somewhere to stay.”
SHARRA
“That doesn’t change anything. You and I have a past, and I don’t want that past creating problems in my life.”
Dre becomes frustrated. Instead of respecting Sharra’s answer, he pushes his way inside.
Sharra immediately steps back, shocked by what has happened.
SHARRA
“Dre! I told you that you couldn’t come inside!”
Dre puts his bag down.
DRE
“I’ll stay out of your way. You won’t even notice I’m here.”
Sharra looks angry.
SHARRA
“This is my house. You cannot just ignore what I said.”
After a tense moment, Sharra reluctantly allows him to stay temporarily, but she makes her boundaries completely clear.
SHARRA
“Listen to me carefully. You are staying for a short time, and you will respect my space. Do not cross any boundaries.”
DRE
“Okay. I understand.”
Sharra points toward the guest area.
SHARRA
“Stay there. I don’t want any problems.”
SCENE 3 — SHARRA SETS HER BOUNDARIES
The house becomes quiet. Sharra checks her phone and notices that there are no messages from Larry. She takes a deep breath.
SHARRA
“I already know this was a bad idea.”
Dre hears her from the other room.
DRE
“You’re worrying too much.”
Sharra turns toward him.
SHARRA
“No, Dre. I’m being careful. You promised me you would respect my boundaries.”
DRE
“I said I would.”
Sharra walks away, hoping that Dre will keep his promise. However, the uncomfortable atmosphere remains inside the house.
SCENE 4 — LATER THAT EVENING
A few hours pass. Sharra goes to her room to get ready for a shower. She believes Dre is staying in the other part of the house.
Suddenly, she notices Dre approaching.
Sharra immediately becomes uncomfortable.
SHARRA
“Dre, what are you doing here?”
Dre tries to move closer, but Sharra steps back and firmly stops him.
SHARRA
“Stop. I told you not to cross my boundaries.”
Dre ignores her warning. Sharra becomes furious.
SHARRA
“Get out of here!”
Dre stops.
Sharra points toward the door.
SHARRA
“You promised me that you would respect my space. You broke that promise.”
DRE
“Sharra, I wasn’t trying to—”
SHARRA
“I don’t want to hear another excuse.”
Her expression changes from frustration to complete anger.
SHARRA
“You need to leave my house right now.”
SCENE 5 — SHARRA TAKES CONTROL
Dre tries to calm the situation.
DRE
“Sharra, just listen to me.”
SHARRA
“No. I gave you a chance, and you disrespected me.”
Sharra opens the front door.
SHARRA
“Take your bag and get out.”
Dre looks shocked by how serious she has become.
DRE
“You’re really throwing me out?”
SHARRA
“Yes. You made that decision when you refused to respect what I told you.”
Dre slowly picks up his bag.
DRE
“I thought you trusted me.”
Sharra looks directly at him.
SHARRA
“Trust requires respect. You crossed a line, and I’m not allowing it.”
Dre walks outside. Sharra closes and locks the door behind him.
SCENE 6 — OUTSIDE THE HOUSE
Dre stands outside with his bag and looks back at the house.
DRE
“Sharra is really angry.”
He takes out his phone but hesitates before calling anyone. Inside, Sharra locks the door and sits down.
She takes a deep breath, still shaken by the confrontation.
SHARRA
“I should never have let him inside.”
She looks at her phone and sees Larry’s name in her contacts.
Sharra wonders whether she should tell him everything that happened.
SCENE 7 — LARRY FINDS OUT
Meanwhile, Larry is at home. He checks his phone and notices a missed call from Sharra.
LARRY
“Why was Sharra calling me?”
He immediately calls her back.
Sharra sees Larry’s name appear on her screen. She hesitates before answering.
Finally, she picks up.
LARRY
“Hey, Sharra. Everything okay?”
Sharra pauses.
SHARRA
“Larry… I need to tell you something.”
Larry becomes concerned.
LARRY
“What happened?”
Sharra looks toward the front door.
SHARRA
“Dre came to my house.”
Larry goes silent for a moment.
LARRY
“Dre?”
SHARRA
“Yes. He asked to stay here for two days. I told him no, but he kept insisting.”
Larry becomes more serious.
LARRY
“Is he still there?”
SHARRA
“No. I made him leave.”
SCENE 8 — LARRY WANTS ANSWERS
Larry can hear the tension in Sharra’s voice.
LARRY
“Why did you make him leave?”
Sharra takes a deep breath.
SHARRA
“Because he didn’t respect my boundaries.”
Larry becomes increasingly concerned.
LARRY
“Sharra, are you okay?”
SHARRA
“I’m okay now. He’s gone.”
Larry pauses before responding.
LARRY
“Do you want me to come over?”
Sharra looks around the quiet room.
SHARRA
“I don’t know, Larry. I just need some time to think.”
LARRY
“Okay. But if you need me, call me.”
Sharra ends the call.
SCENE 9 — DRE’S NEXT MOVE
Outside, Dre walks down the street. He looks back at Sharra’s house one last time.
He takes out his phone and starts typing a message to Sharra. After a moment, he stops and deletes it.
DRE
“I’m not finished with this.”
He puts his phone away and continues walking.
Inside the house, Sharra locks the door once again. She sits quietly and looks at Larry’s name on her phone.
She realizes that allowing Dre into her home created a much bigger problem than she ever expected.
SHARRA
“This is going to change everything.”
