HOOK: “YOU’RE NOT COMING INSIDE.”
The moment Brooke arrives home after receiving Sharra’s call, she expects nothing more than a normal evening. But Larry is already waiting at the gate.
And when Larry suddenly blocks her path, Brooke is left completely stunned.
SCENE 1 — OUTSIDE THE HOUSE — EVENING
The sun is beginning to set.
Brooke walks toward the house carrying a bag, her expression calm but slightly tired after the unexpected call from Sharra.
She reaches the front gate and looks toward the house.
Everything seems normal.
Until she notices Larry standing directly near the entrance.
Brooke slows down.
BROOKE
“Larry… what are you doing standing here?”
Larry doesn’t answer immediately. He looks serious.
Brooke takes another step toward the gate.
Larry immediately moves in front of her.
LARRY
“Stop right there.”
Brooke freezes.
BROOKE
“What?”
Larry keeps his position between Brooke and the doorway.
LARRY
“You’re not coming inside.”
Brooke stares at him, completely shocked.
SCENE 2 — THE GATE
Brooke places her bag down for a moment, trying to understand what is happening.
BROOKE
“Larry, I just got off the phone with Sharra. I came home because I thought everything was okay.”
Larry’s expression changes slightly when he hears Sharra’s name.
LARRY
“That’s exactly the problem.”
BROOKE
“What does Sharra have to do with this?”
Larry takes a breath.
LARRY
“You should’ve asked before coming back.”
BROOKE
“Asked who?”
Larry doesn’t respond.
Brooke looks through the gate again. The house is unusually quiet.
SCENE 3 — BROOKE GETS WORRIED
Brooke takes another step forward. Larry immediately raises his hand, stopping her.
LARRY
“I said you can’t come inside.”
BROOKE
“You’re seriously stopping me at the gate?”
Larry nods.
LARRY
“For now.”
Brooke looks hurt.
BROOKE
“But I didn’t do anything.”
LARRY
“I know.”
Brooke pauses. His answer only makes the situation more confusing.
BROOKE
“Then why are you doing this?”
Larry looks away.
BROOKE
“Is Sharra inside?”
Larry doesn’t answer.
BROOKE
“She is, isn’t she?”
SCENE 4 — A SECRET INSIDE
Brooke suddenly hears movement from inside.
She turns toward the house.
Larry notices it too, and his expression becomes tense.
BROOKE
“Who’s in there?”
Larry says nothing.
BROOKE
“Larry, who is inside?”
Still nothing.
Brooke’s curiosity grows. She can tell Larry is hiding something.
BROOKE
“Why are you so scared of me going inside?”
Larry’s expression changes.
LARRY
“You don’t understand what’s going on.”
BROOKE
“Then explain it to me.”
Larry looks toward the house again.
LARRY
“Some things happened while you were gone.”
SCENE 5 — BROOKE REFUSES TO LEAVE
Brooke picks up her bag.
Instead of walking away, she stands firmly at the gate.
BROOKE
“I’m not leaving until somebody tells me the truth.”
LARRY
“Brooke…”
BROOKE
“No. You can’t just stand here and tell me I’m not allowed inside without explaining why.”
Her voice becomes emotional.
BROOKE
“I thought this was my family.”
Larry looks at her.
LARRY
“It is.”
BROOKE
“Then why does it feel like everyone is keeping something from me?”
Larry has no answer.
SCENE 6 — THE SHOCKING MOMENT
Brooke suddenly hears the front door opening.
Her eyes immediately move toward the house.
Larry turns around, and his face suddenly changes.
Someone is standing inside the doorway.
Brooke cannot see the person clearly.
UNKNOWN VOICE
“Larry… who’s at the gate?”
Brooke’s eyes widen.
Larry looks like he knows the situation can no longer remain hidden.
BROOKE
“Wait… why is that person here?”
Larry remains silent.
SCENE 7 — CLIFFHANGER
Brooke stands frozen at the gate.
Larry refuses to move.
The person inside remains hidden by the doorway.
BROOKE
“Tell me the truth.”
LARRY
“You’re going to find out soon enough.”
Brooke looks toward the house one final time.
The door slowly begins to close.
Just before it shuts completely, Brooke catches a glimpse of someone standing behind Larry.
BROOKE
“Oh my God…”
The door closes.
