“I don’t want anything anymore, Angelina. I don’t want another man. I don’t want another promise. I’m tired of hoping that someone will stay and then watching everything fall apart.”
Angelina gently held her hand, but Shayla suddenly looked at her with a mixture of sorrow and anger.
