1. Wayne Invites Dave and Anthony to a Business Meeting
Wayne had an important business opportunity in mind, and he believed that working with Dave and Anthony could help him expand his plans. However, Wayne wanted everything to happen according to his own rules. He was determined to maintain control of the deal and make sure nobody interfered with his strategy.
Wayne contacted Dave and Anthony and invited them to an important business meeting at his office. He told them that he had a proposal that could benefit all three men financially. Anthony was interested in the opportunity, while Dave decided to hear the complete proposal before making any commitments.
Later that evening, Dave told Amber about Wayne’s invitation. Amber immediately became suspicious. She knew that Wayne was a clever businessman, and she believed Anthony could also have his own motives. She worried that the two men might be trying to involve Dave in a deal that would benefit them more than it benefited him.
2. Amber Warns Dave About Wayne and Anthony
Amber looked seriously at Dave and told him to be careful. She explained that Wayne and Anthony might be planning something behind his back and that he should not trust their proposal without examining every detail.
“Dave, Wayne and Anthony are both very clever. They might want to do business with you because they believe they can benefit from you. Please think carefully before agreeing to anything. Don’t let them use you for their own advantage,” Amber warned him.
Dave listened to her concerns. He knew Amber understood business and could recognize problems that other people might overlook. Although he appreciated her warning, he did not want to reject the opportunity without hearing Wayne’s proposal.
“Don’t worry, Amber. I’ll go to the meeting fully prepared. I won’t sign anything without understanding the agreement, and nobody will pressure me into making a decision,” Dave reassured her.
Amber hoped he would keep his promise. She trusted Dave, but she knew that business could become dangerous when personal interests and money were involved.
3. Wayne Introduces His Shocking Condition
The following day, Dave arrived at Wayne’s modern office. A long conference table stood in the middle of the room, with business documents and folders arranged neatly across its surface. Wayne was already waiting, and Anthony was sitting beside him.
After exchanging greetings, the three men began discussing the proposed partnership. Wayne explained that the deal could bring them significant benefits if they worked together. Dave listened carefully, waiting for Wayne to explain the financial arrangements and responsibilities.
Suddenly, Wayne raised his hand and interrupted the discussion.
“Before we discuss the agreement any further, I need both of you to make me a promise,” Wayne announced.
Dave and Anthony exchanged curious looks.
“Neither of you will involve your girlfriends in this business. You won’t bring them into our meetings, and you won’t tell them anything about this deal. Our business stays between us. I don’t want personal relationships interfering with our decisions,” Wayne declared.
Anthony immediately agreed. “That’s fine with me, Wayne. I have no problem keeping business separate from my personal life.”
Wayne smiled, expecting Dave to agree as well. But Dave remained silent. He remembered Amber’s warning and began questioning why Wayne was so determined to keep their girlfriends away from the deal.
4. Dave Defends Amber and Tears Up the Agreement
Dave leaned forward and looked directly at Wayne.
“I disagree with you. Amber will be involved in this business deal because she understands business very well. I trust her judgment, and I’m not going to make an important business decision without consulting her,” Dave said firmly.
Wayne’s smile disappeared.
“Dave, this is a business between the three of us. We don’t need our girlfriends involved in everything,” Wayne replied angrily.
“You can make your own decisions, Wayne, but you cannot tell me to leave Amber out of something that affects my business,” Dave answered. “If this partnership is going to work, there must be trust and transparency. I won’t agree to a deal that requires me to hide important information from someone I trust.”
Anthony watched the argument unfold, hoping Dave would eventually change his mind. However, Dave was becoming increasingly frustrated with Wayne’s attitude.
Wayne finally lost his patience.
“If you cannot follow my rules, then perhaps you should leave. We don’t need someone who refuses to cooperate,” Wayne said coldly.
Dave stared at him in disbelief. Instead of trying to resolve the disagreement, Wayne was dismissing him simply because he wanted Amber involved in the business.
Furious, Dave grabbed the business agreement from the table and tore it into pieces. He threw the papers toward Wayne and stood up.
“I don’t need to do business with someone like you! If you cannot respect my decisions, then there is no reason for us to work together. I would rather walk away from this deal than betray Amber’s trust,” Dave declared.
Wayne watched the torn agreement fall across the conference table. Dave turned around and stormed out of the office, leaving Wayne and Anthony staring at the scattered papers.
5. Anthony Reveals Their Next Move
For several seconds, neither Wayne nor Anthony spoke. Wayne was furious that Dave had challenged him in his own office and destroyed the agreement he had prepared.
“Did you see what he just did? He actually tore up the entire agreement!” Wayne exclaimed.
Anthony remained calm, but his expression suggested that Dave’s reaction had changed their plans.
“Dave isn’t going to be easy to control,” Anthony admitted. “He trusts Amber, and as long as she is involved, convincing him to follow our plan will be difficult.”
Wayne leaned back in his chair, thinking carefully. He had expected Dave to accept the opportunity, but he had underestimated how strongly Dave would defend Amber.
“Then we need another approach,” Wayne replied. “If Dave refuses to cooperate with us, we’ll have to find a way to change his mind.”
Anthony nodded slowly. “We can’t let this opportunity disappear. But we need to be careful. Dave is already suspicious, and Amber could make things even more complicated.”
Meanwhile, Dave was driving home, still angry about what had happened. He planned to tell Amber everything, including Wayne’s strange condition and Anthony’s decision to agree with it.
But Dave had no idea that Wayne was already considering another move. Inside the office, Wayne opened a separate folder that he had kept hidden beneath the other documents. Anthony looked at the folder and suddenly became serious.
“Wayne, are you really planning to go ahead with that?” Anthony asked quietly.
Wayne looked toward the closed office door and replied, “If Dave won’t accept our deal, then we’ll make him regret walking away.”
