BROOKE DISCOVERS MARYA IS PREGNANT WITH ISAIAH’S BABY — SHE CONFRONTS HER IN A SHOCKING ATTACK!

Brooke could barely believe what she was hearing. The moment Marya’s trembling voice came through the phone, everything Brooke thought she knew about Isaiah came crashing down. One unexpected confession was about to turn their complicated relationship into a family disaster neither woman could easily escape.

Marya sat on the edge of her bed, holding her phone tightly while Hope and Faith stood nearby. She had been trying to find the courage to tell Brooke the truth, but now that the moment had arrived, she could hardly keep her voice steady.

MARYA:

Brooke, please don’t hang up. I need to tell you something, and I need you to hear me out before you judge me.

BROOKE:

Why are Hope and Faith acting so strange? What is going on with you, Marya?

Marya looked at Hope, who gave her an encouraging nod. Faith reached for her hand, reminding her that hiding the truth would only make things worse.

MARYA:

Brooke, I’m pregnant.

Brooke went completely silent.

BROOKE:

What did you just say?

MARYA:

I’m pregnant, Brooke. And Isaiah is the father.

For several seconds, Brooke couldn’t find the words to respond. She stared at the phone as if Marya’s confession might somehow change if she listened to it again. Isaiah’s name echoed through her mind, bringing back every promise, every conversation, and every moment she had trusted him.

BROOKE:

No. You’re lying to me. You have to be lying!

MARYA:

I know this is difficult to hear, but I’m telling you the truth. I didn’t call to hurt you. I thought you deserved to know.

BROOKE:

You thought I deserved to know? When exactly were you planning to tell me? Before or after you had your baby?

MARYA:

Brooke, please calm down. I understand that you’re angry, but this isn’t going to help anybody.

BROOKE:

Don’t tell me to calm down! You just told me that you’re carrying Isaiah’s baby, and you expect me to sit here and have a peaceful conversation with you?

Hope stepped closer to Marya, worried by the sudden change in Brooke’s voice.

HOPE:

Brooke, we understand that you’re upset, but please don’t take everything out on Marya. She didn’t call you to start a fight.

BROOKE:

Stay out of this, Hope! And you too, Faith! This is between me and Marya.

FAITH:

We aren’t trying to take sides. We’re asking you to listen before you make a decision you’ll regret.

Brooke let out a bitter laugh, but there was no humor in her expression.

BROOKE:

Listen to what? That she and Isaiah have been doing whatever they wanted behind my back? That I’m supposed to accept this baby and pretend that my feelings don’t matter?

MARYA:

I never said your feelings don’t matter. I know this news changes everything, but the baby didn’t do anything wrong.

That statement only made Brooke angrier. She ended the call abruptly and stood in the middle of her room, breathing heavily as she tried to process the betrayal.

BROOKE:

Isaiah is going to answer for this. And Marya is going to explain everything to my face.

Without telling anyone where she was going, Brooke grabbed her keys and stormed out of the house.

Meanwhile, Marya lowered her phone and looked at Hope and Faith with tears gathering in her eyes.

MARYA:

I knew she would be upset, but I never imagined she would react like that.

HOPE:

She’s hurt. Give her some time to think about what you’ve told her.

FAITH:

And don’t let her anger make you believe you were wrong to tell the truth. You needed to be honest.

Marya nodded, trying to reassure herself that the worst of the conversation was over. She had no idea Brooke was already on her way to her house.

By the time Brooke arrived, the sun was beginning to disappear behind the neighborhood homes. She marched up to Marya’s front door and knocked so loudly that the sound echoed through the house.

Nobody answered.

Brooke tried again, but the house remained quiet. She reached for the door handle and discovered that the door wasn’t locked. She hesitated for a moment, then stepped inside, calling Marya’s name.

BROOKE:

Marya! I know you’re in here. Stop hiding from me!

There was no response.

Brooke walked farther into the house, her anger growing with every unanswered call. When she reached the bedroom, she saw Marya asleep beneath a blanket, apparently exhausted after the emotional conversation with Hope and Faith.

For a moment, Brooke stood in the doorway and watched her.

Marya looked peaceful, unaware that the woman who had just learned her secret was standing only a few feet away. Brooke’s expression hardened as she remembered the words, Isaiah is the father.

BROOKE:

You can sleep peacefully while my whole world falls apart?

Marya shifted slightly but didn’t wake up.

Brooke looked around the room and noticed a medical syringe on a nearby table. Her eyes fixed on it, and an alarming idea entered her mind. Instead of stepping away and leaving the house, she moved closer to the table.

She picked up the syringe, staring at it as her anger battled with the small part of her that still understood how dangerous her actions could be.

BROOKE:

You should have thought about what this would do to me before you called.

She approached the bed, holding the syringe in her hand. Marya remained asleep, her face turned toward the pillow.

Brooke stopped beside her.

For a brief second, she hesitated. She could leave. She could call Isaiah and demand an explanation. She could walk out of the house and allow herself time to think.

But the pain of the revelation overwhelmed her judgment.

BROOKE:

Wake up, Marya. I want you to open your eyes and tell me why you did this to me.

Marya didn’t respond.

Brooke leaned forward, moving the syringe toward Marya as if she intended to hurt her. Just as she reached toward the sleeping woman, a floorboard creaked behind her.

Brooke froze.

She turned her head slowly toward the bedroom doorway, still holding the syringe.

A shadow stood at the entrance.

UNKNOWN VOICE:

Brooke? What are you doing?

Brooke’s face drained of color. She hadn’t expected anyone to come to Marya’s house, and now someone had caught her standing beside the bed with the syringe in her hand.

Marya began to stir, hearing the unfamiliar voice. Her eyes fluttered open, and she slowly lifted her head from the pillow.

MARYA:

Brooke? What are you doing in my house?

Brooke stepped backward, but the person at the doorway moved forward, blocking her path.

MARYA:

Why do you have that in your hand?

Marya’s eyes widened as she recognized the syringe. She immediately pulled the blanket closer and moved away from Brooke, fear replacing the confusion on her face.

BROOKE:

You don’t understand what happened! She told me something, and I—

MARYA:

I told you the truth about Isaiah, and you came here to hurt me?

BROOKE:

You destroyed everything!

MARYA:

I didn’t make Isaiah do anything! If you’re angry with him, go talk to him! Don’t bring that anger into my bedroom!

The person at the doorway reached for a phone, ready to call for help.

UNKNOWN VOICE:

Put the syringe down, Brooke. Right now.

Brooke looked at Marya, then at the person standing between her and the exit. Her hands trembled as the reality of the situation finally began to sink in.

Marya carefully moved away from the bed, one hand resting protectively over her stomach.

MARYA:

Brooke, please. I don’t want anything to happen to either of us. Just put it down.

For the first time since the phone call, Brooke had nothing to say.

Then another sound came from the hallway—the unmistakable sound of someone opening the front door.

A familiar male voice called out from downstairs.

ISAIAH:

Marya? Are you home? I need to talk to you.

Marya’s eyes widened. Brooke turned toward the doorway, realizing that Isaiah had arrived at the worst possible moment.

The person holding the phone looked from Brooke to the syringe, while Marya stood frozen beside the bed.

Isaiah’s footsteps grew louder as he approached the bedroom.

ISAIAH:

Marya, why isn’t anybody answering me?

Brooke tightened her grip on the syringe for one final second before the person at the doorway spoke again.

UNKNOWN VOICE:

Isaiah, don’t come in here alone. You need to see what Brooke was about to do.

The footsteps stopped.

A long, terrifying silence filled the house.

Then Isaiah appeared in the doorway, his eyes moving from Marya’s frightened face to Brooke’s trembling hands.

ISAIAH:

Brooke… tell me that isn’t what it looks like.

Brooke opened her mouth, but before she could answer, Marya pointed toward the syringe and spoke through her tears.

MARYA:

Isaiah, she came here after I told her about the baby. And I think she was about to hurt me.

Isaiah stared at Brooke in disbelief.

ISAIAH:

What have you done?

Brooke looked at him, her anger suddenly giving way to panic. But before anyone could say another word, Isaiah noticed something on the bedside table that made his expression change completely.

He looked at Marya, then back at Brooke.

ISAIAH:

Wait. If you just found out about the pregnancy today, why does it look like somebody already knew about this before you called her?

Marya’s face went pale.

And for the first time that night, it was no longer Brooke who looked afraid.
