WAYNE EXPOSES DAVE’S BETRAYAL — AMBER SUES HIM AND WAYNE HANDS HIM OVER TO THE POLICE!
Wayne never imagined that the man he trusted with his business would be the same man who would secretly destroy everything they had built together. For years, Wayne and Dave had worked side by side, sharing profits, making important decisions, and promising that neither would ever betray the other. But behind Wayne’s back, Dave had been making plans that would change their lives forever.
One afternoon, Wayne arrived at the office earlier than usual and noticed that several financial documents were scattered across Dave’s desk. Dave was nowhere to be seen, but a folder bearing the company’s name immediately caught Wayne’s attention. He opened it and began reviewing the papers. Within moments, his expression changed.
The documents showed that Dave had secretly sold a significant portion of Wayne’s company shares without his permission. The money from the transaction had disappeared from the business accounts, and several transfers had been made to accounts Wayne had never approved.
WAYNE: “No. This can’t be right. Dave wouldn’t do this to me.”
Wayne checked the documents again, hoping he had misunderstood something. But every signature, transfer, and transaction pointed toward the same conclusion. His business partner had betrayed him.
Just then, Dave walked into the office carrying a cup of coffee. He stopped when he saw Wayne holding the folder.
DAVE: “Wayne? What are you doing here so early?”
WAYNE: “That’s what I should be asking you. What is this?”
Wayne threw the documents onto the desk.
Dave glanced at the papers, and the confidence on his face disappeared for a moment. He quickly recovered, attempting to act as though nothing serious had happened.
DAVE: “Listen, I can explain everything. It’s business. Sometimes you have to make decisions without discussing every little detail.”
WAYNE: “You sold my shares without telling me! Those shares belong to me, Dave. You had absolutely no right to touch them!”
DAVE: “I was trying to secure our future. You don’t understand the pressure I’ve been under.”
WAYNE: “Don’t insult my intelligence. You took money from our business and used it for yourself. How long have you been planning to betray me?”
Dave placed his coffee down and lowered his voice.
DAVE: “Keep your voice down. We can settle this privately.”
WAYNE: “Privately? You were happy to make these decisions behind my back. Now you want privacy because you’ve been caught?”
Dave insisted that the transactions were temporary and promised to return the money. But Wayne had already lost faith in every word coming out of his mouth.
Before Wayne could continue the confrontation, his phone rang. It was Amber.
AMBER: “Wayne, are you still at the office? I need to talk to you about something.”
WAYNE: “I’m here. And I think you need to know what Dave has done.”
AMBER: “What are you talking about?”
Wayne looked directly at Dave.
WAYNE: “Your husband has been hiding something serious. Come to the office, and I’ll show you the documents myself.”
Dave immediately stepped forward.
DAVE: “Wayne, don’t drag Amber into this. This is between you and me.”
WAYNE: “You should have thought about that before you started moving money and selling shares without permission.”
Amber arrived at the office less than half an hour later. She entered with a concerned expression, expecting an ordinary business disagreement. Instead, Wayne placed the documents in front of her.
She read the first page, then the second. As she continued, her hands began to tremble.
AMBER: “Dave, tell me this isn’t true.”
Dave stood beside the desk, refusing to meet her eyes.
DAVE: “Amber, please. You’re making this bigger than it is.”
AMBER: “Bigger than it is? You secretly sold Wayne’s shares and moved the money without his approval! What exactly am I supposed to believe?”
DAVE: “I was going to explain everything when the time was right.”
AMBER: “When? After you spent all the money? After Wayne lost his entire business? Or after the police came looking for you?”
Dave tried to take her hand, but Amber stepped away.
AMBER: “I trusted you. I defended you whenever people questioned your decisions. I believed you were an honest man. And all this time, you’ve been lying to everyone!”
DAVE: “I’m your husband. You should stand beside me instead of believing everything Wayne tells you.”
Amber looked at him in disbelief.
AMBER: “Don’t use our marriage to escape responsibility. Wayne has shown me the records. If you have an honest explanation, give it to us now.”
Dave remained silent.
That silence hurt Amber more than any excuse could have. She had spent years believing that their marriage was built on honesty, but now she wondered how many of their decisions had been influenced by lies.
Finally, she picked up her phone.
DAVE: “Who are you calling?”
AMBER: “My lawyer. I’m filing a case against you. You betrayed Wayne, and you betrayed me. I won’t protect you from the consequences of your own actions.”
DAVE: “Amber, you can’t be serious!”
AMBER: “I’ve never been more serious in my life.”
Wayne watched Amber carefully. He understood that she was hurt, but he also knew that the matter had gone beyond a personal disagreement. The company had suffered a serious financial loss, and he needed to protect his remaining assets.
WAYNE: “Amber, I appreciate that you’re willing to face the truth. But I’m filing my own complaint. Dave will have to answer for what happened to my shares and the missing money.”
DAVE: “Both of you are turning against me over a business decision!”
WAYNE: “No, Dave. You turned against us when you decided our trust was something you could exploit.”
Dave began pacing around the office, insisting that Wayne had misunderstood the transactions. He claimed that the money would eventually return to the company and that selling the shares had been necessary to secure a profitable deal.
But when Wayne asked him to produce the contract supporting that claim, Dave could not provide it.
Amber shook her head.
AMBER: “Every time you speak, another part of your story falls apart.”
DAVE: “You don’t know what you’re doing, Amber. If you file that case, you’ll destroy our marriage.”
AMBER: “You destroyed my trust when you decided to lie to me. Don’t blame me for what happens next.”
By the following morning, Wayne had gathered the financial records, contacted his lawyer, and reported the suspected unauthorized transactions to the authorities. Amber also began the legal process against Dave, determined not to let their marriage prevent her from seeking accountability.
Dave, meanwhile, believed he could still convince Wayne to withdraw the complaint. He arrived at Wayne’s house that afternoon, hoping to speak with him privately.
Wayne opened the door but did not invite him inside.
DAVE: “Wayne, listen to me. We’ve been friends for years. Don’t let one mistake destroy everything we’ve built.”
WAYNE: “One mistake? You sold my shares, moved company money, and lied directly to my face. How many mistakes am I supposed to forgive?”
DAVE: “I’ll repay everything. Just withdraw the complaint.”
WAYNE: “That’s not your decision anymore.”
Before Dave could respond, two police officers approached the front entrance. Wayne had already informed them about the complaint and arranged to provide the evidence he had collected.
Dave’s face went pale.
DAVE: “Wayne, what is this? You actually called the police on me?”
WAYNE: “I gave you the chance to tell the truth. You chose to lie. Now you can explain everything to the authorities.”
One of the officers stepped forward and informed Dave that they needed to speak with him regarding the reported financial transactions. Dave immediately turned toward Wayne, his expression changing from disbelief to anger.
DAVE: “You’re going to regret this! You think Amber will stay on your side forever? You have no idea what you’ve started!”
WAYNE: “The only person who started this was you.”
The officers escorted Dave away while Wayne stood at the entrance, watching the man he once considered a brother face the consequences of his actions.
Amber arrived moments later and saw Dave being taken toward the police vehicle. She stopped beside Wayne, tears gathering in her eyes.
AMBER: “I never thought I’d see my own husband taken away like this.”
WAYNE: “Neither did I. But we couldn’t keep pretending nothing happened.”
Amber looked down at the legal papers in her hands.
AMBER: “I’m going through with the case. I need the truth, Wayne. All of it.”
Wayne nodded, believing the worst of the betrayal had finally come to light.
Then his phone vibrated.
An unfamiliar number had sent him a message containing a photograph of a signed company document. Wayne opened it, and his face suddenly went cold.
The document appeared to authorize the transfer of another portion of the company’s shares—shares Wayne had never agreed to sell.
Below the photograph was a short message:
UNKNOWN SENDER: “You arrested the wrong man for the whole story. Dave didn’t act alone.”
Wayne stared at the screen, unable to speak. Amber noticed his expression and stepped closer.
AMBER: “Wayne? What is it? What did you just receive?”
He slowly turned the phone toward her.
As Amber read the message, all the color drained from her face.
AMBER: “If Dave didn’t do this alone… then who else has been stealing from you?”
Wayne looked toward the police vehicle disappearing down the street. Dave was already gone, and the person behind the message knew far more than either of them had imagined.
Then another message appeared.
UNKNOWN SENDER: “Ask Amber where the money from the house came from.”
Wayne slowly raised his eyes toward Amber.
WAYNE: “What money? What house are they talking about, Amber?”
Amber’s lips parted, but no words came out. For the first time since Dave’s arrest, she looked genuinely frightened.
And Wayne realized that the betrayal he had uncovered might only be the beginning.
