Wayne’s Confession Ends With a Shocking Slap
Scene 1 — Honeypot’s Living Room, Afternoon
The afternoon sun shines through the windows as everyone relaxes after lunch. The room is peaceful until Wayne walks in with a serious expression.
Honeypot notices that Wayne looks nervous.
HONEYPOT“You look like you’ve got something important to say.”
Wayne takes a deep breath before speaking.
WAYNE“Yeah… I do. I’ve been thinking a lot lately. I can’t keep pretending anymore. I’ve started developing feelings for Lauren. And… I want to make her my official girlfriend.”
The room instantly falls silent. Tamara’s smile disappears. Her eyes fill with anger.
Scene 2 — Tamara Loses Her Temper
Tamara slowly stands up and walks straight toward Wayne, her breathing growing heavier with every step.
WAYNE“Tamara… listen—”
SLAP! Tamara strikes Wayne across the face. The sound echoes through the room. Everyone freezes.
TAMARA“So that’s it? First you used me… now you’re running after Lauren? You made me believe I actually mattered to you. You called me every day. You told me I was special. Now suddenly you’ve forgotten everything?”
Honeypot quickly steps between them.
HONEYPOT“Tamara! Calm down! Violence isn’t going to solve this.”
TAMARA“Don’t tell me to calm down. He played with my feelings. Now he’s ready to do the same thing to Lauren.”
Scene 3 — Wayne Finally Speaks
Wayne lowers his hand from his cheek and looks directly at Tamara. His voice is calm.
WAYNE“I never wanted to hurt you.”
TAMARA“Really? Because that’s exactly what you did.”
WAYNE“I know you’re hurt, and I’m sorry for that. But I never promised you a relationship. It meant something — but somewhere along the way, I realised my heart wasn’t there anymore.”
TAMARA“You realised that after leading me on? Convenient.”
WAYNE“Maybe I handled everything the wrong way. I accept that. But I can’t force myself to stay with someone when my feelings have changed.”
The room becomes silent again.
Scene 4 — Lauren Arrives
The front door opens. Lauren walks inside carrying a shopping bag and immediately notices the tension. Wayne’s red cheek catches her attention.
LAUREN“What happened here? Can somebody tell me what’s going on?”
Tamara steps forward.
TAMARA“Ask him. He just announced that he wants to make you his girlfriend.”
LAUREN“Wait… what?”
WAYNE“She’s telling the truth. I was waiting for the right time. I wanted to tell you properly.”
TAMARA“Looks like your timing couldn’t be worse.”
Scene 5 — An Unexpected Answer
Lauren walks closer to Wayne and studies his face carefully.
LAUREN“Is this real? Or are you just trying to move on from Tamara?”
WAYNE“It’s real. My feelings for you didn’t appear overnight — they’ve been growing for a long time. I kept denying them because I didn’t want anyone to get hurt. But hiding the truth only made everything worse.”
Lauren remains silent. Honeypot watches both of them carefully.
Scene 6 — Tamara’s Final Words
Tamara wipes another tear from her face. Her voice is quieter now.
TAMARA“You know what hurts the most? Not that you like Lauren. It’s that you never gave me the honesty I deserved.”
WAYNE“You’re right. I should’ve been honest sooner. For that… I’m truly sorry.”
Tamara looks at Lauren.
TAMARA“Just be careful. If he could break my heart… he could break yours too.”
Lauren doesn’t respond. Tamara turns around and walks toward the door. Without looking back, she speaks softly.
TAMARA“I hope one day you understand what it feels like to lose someone because of your own choices.”
She walks out. The door closes behind her. Silence fills the room.
Scene 7 — Wayne’s Decision
Wayne looks at Lauren, his eyes filled with sincerity.
WAYNE“I know today wasn’t the way I wanted this to happen. But my feelings are real. I’m not asking you to answer right now. Take all the time you need.”
LAUREN“I appreciate your honesty. But after everything that just happened… I need time to think.”
WAYNE“I’ll wait. No pressure. No games. Just honesty.”
Lauren gives a small smile before walking away. Honeypot walks over to Wayne.
HONEYPOT“You finally told the truth. Now you have to live with whatever happens next.”
Wayne quietly nods. He looks toward the closed front door where Tamara left, then in the direction Lauren walked. For the first time, he realises that telling the truth doesn’t always make life easier — but sometimes it’s the only way forward.
