INT. LIVING ROOM – DAY

HEADING 1

Kailee had been feeling uneasy all day. She knew she had to tell Jaden something important, and the thought of his reaction made her stomach churn. Finally, as they sat together in the living room, she took a deep breath.

KAILEE: Jaden… I need to tell you something, her voice trembling slightly.

JADEN: What is it, Kailee? You know you can tell me anything.

HEADING 2

Kailee hesitated, then spoke quickly.

KAILEE: Your mom… she told me something that really confused me. She said you might’ve gotten me pregnant too fast… because you play professional basketball. 😳

JADEN: frozen for a moment, blinking in disbelief Wait… what? She said that?

HEADING 3

Kailee nodded, frowning.

KAILEE: Yes. And she was talking to me in such a strange way… like I was supposed to feel guilty or something. I didn’t understand why she would say that.

JADEN: running a hand through his hair, clearly frustrated That’s… really messed up, Kailee. I can’t believe she would even bring that up. This isn’t fair to you. 😤

HEADING 4

Before the conversation could continue, Lynette entered the room. True to her nature, she immediately started saying things to Jaden about Kailee, in a tone that was both condescending and judgmental. 😒

LYNETTE: Jaden, I just want you to know—Kailee… well, she’s… you know… she’s been acting a little strange lately, trailing off and looking at Jaden as if she were dropping some heavy secret.

JADEN: jaw tightening Lynette, I don’t want to hear this right now. Stop talking about Kailee in that way. I am not tolerating it. 😡

Lynette tried to keep going, but Jaden raised a hand.

JADEN: No. Enough. I will not let you speak to her like that.

HEADING 5

Kailee breathed a sigh of relief, feeling the tension in the room slightly ease. But she knew it wasn’t over. Lynette’s protective instincts over her son made every conversation a battlefield, and Jaden had to maintain control.

Fast forward a few days to the hospital. The moment Kailee went into labor, the atmosphere became charged. Both Lynette and Bethany were hovering, each thinking they had some claim to the moment. Bethany, of course, was already acting dramatic, ready to make the birth all about her. But Jaden had seen enough chaos in the past week to know he had to set boundaries.

HEADING 6

As the labor room door opened, Jaden stepped forward with authority.

JADEN: Lynette… Bethany… listen to me, his voice steady but firm. 😤

LYNETTE & BETHANY: Both women turn, expecting maybe a gentle nudge or a small request.

JADEN: You are both going to stay out of the delivery room. No arguments. I’m serious. 👀

JADEN: You need to remain in the waiting area until this baby is born. Understood?

BETHANY: blinks, stunned Wait… what? Me? Outside?

JADEN: Yes, you, his tone leaving no room for negotiation. “This is not about drama, or anyone trying to steal the spotlight. This is about Kailee and the baby. That’s it. You both sit in the waiting area. Period.”

Lynette opened her mouth, likely to protest, but Jaden raised a hand.

JADEN: No. You don’t get to argue this time. I’m not going to let anyone ruin this moment for Kailee. The baby comes first, and that’s final.

Bethany huffed, crossing her arms, but ultimately obeyed. Lynette, for all her fire, knew better than to push back this time. She followed Bethany into the waiting area, both women glaring at Jaden but keeping their distance. 😬

Kailee, meanwhile, was wheeled into the delivery room, holding Jaden’s hand tightly.

KAILEE: softly, whispering, tears in her eyes Thank you. I just… I just wanted to focus on the baby, not all the drama. 🥰

JADEN: squeezing her hand I’ve got you, Kailee. None of that nonsense matters right now. Just you, me, and our baby.

From the waiting area, Bethany and Lynette could hear faint voices and the occasional cheer from the nurses, but the reality of being excluded began to sink in. Both realized that the power dynamics had shifted. The drama they had expected to control was now firmly in Jaden’s hands.

LYNETTE: quietly muttering to herself, shaking her head Looks like Bethany isn’t the only one who can cause chaos.

BETHANY: whispering back, rolling her eyes And I was worried about Bethany! Turns out, Jaden has way more control than we thought. 😅

Meanwhile, Jaden stayed with Kailee, guiding her through the contractions, offering words of encouragement, and making sure she felt supported every step of the way. The waiting area drama was now just background noise.

Hours later, the cries of their newborn filled the delivery room. Kailee, exhausted but smiling, held the baby close. Jaden leaned over, kissing her forehead.

JADEN: softly We did it. 💖

Outside, Lynette and Bethany, despite their initial irritation, couldn’t help but smile faintly. They knew this moment wasn’t theirs to steal. And for once, the chaos had been tamed—by Jaden’s firm boundaries and unwavering support for Kailee.

In the end, everyone learned a lesson. Some battles aren’t worth fighting. Some moments aren’t meant for drama. And for Kailee and Jaden, this was the start of a new chapter, free from distractions… at least for now. 👶✨
