Brooke Walks Away After Discovering Isaiah and Mariah Were Together
Brooke had traveled to Philadelphia believing that she could finally have some peace and clarity with Isaiah.
She had trusted him enough to come all this way, hoping that their relationship could move forward without
the constant confusion and drama that had followed them for so long.
But everything changed the moment Brooke discovered the truth.
She learned that Isaiah and Mariah had both been in the same room in Philadelphia.
What hurt Brooke even more was what happened afterward. According to what she discovered, Isaiah had asked
Mariah to leave after Brooke arrived, making Brooke realize that he had been trying to keep the situation hidden from her.
Brooke stood quietly in the room, trying to process everything she had just learned.
She looked at Isaiah with disappointment.
“So you and Mariah were here together?” Brooke asked.
“Brooke, it’s not what you think,” he said.
“Then what is it? Because from where I’m standing, everything makes sense now.”
Isaiah stepped closer.
“I should have told you what happened.”
“You should have told me before I found out myself,” Brooke replied.
Isaiah tried to explain, but Brooke had already made up her mind.
She no longer wanted to argue or listen to another explanation.
She picked up her bag and started gathering her things.
“Brooke, where are you going?”
“I’m leaving.”
“Leaving Philadelphia?”
“Yes.”
Isaiah followed her toward the door.
“Please, just wait. Let me explain everything.”
Brooke stopped for a moment but didn’t turn around.
“I came here because I trusted you, Isaiah. I thought you wanted me here.
Now I find out that you and Mariah were together in this room, and you only sent her away after I came.”
“I know how it looks, but I didn’t want things to get worse.”
“They got worse because you kept things from me.”
Brooke walked through the doorway.
“Brooke, don’t leave like this. At least stay and talk to me.”
She pulled the bag away.
“No. I’ve heard enough.”
Isaiah stood near the doorway, trying to convince Brooke to stay.
“You came all the way here. Don’t just walk away without giving me a chance.”
Brooke looked at him with tears in her eyes.
“I already gave you a chance. I gave you trust. I gave you my time.
And now I’m realizing that I don’t even know what the truth is anymore.”
Isaiah became desperate to stop the situation from getting worse.
“Brooke, please. I’m asking you to stay for just five minutes.”
“I can’t.”
Brooke walked outside with her bag. Isaiah followed her, still trying to get her to listen.
“Brooke!”
“Please, stop!”
Brooke didn’t stop.
“Where are you even going?”
“Somewhere I can think without being lied to.”
“I wasn’t trying to hurt you.”
“But you did.”
Those words left Isaiah speechless.
Brooke continued toward the street with her bag in her hand.
She had made her decision. She didn’t want another argument,
another explanation, or another promise.
“Brooke, please. Don’t leave Philadelphia like this.”
She turned around briefly.
“I came here thinking I had someone I could trust.
I don’t feel that way anymore.”
Isaiah stood there silently.
Brooke wiped her tears and continued walking.
“Brooke, wait!” Isaiah called again.
But this time, she didn’t even turn around.
She walked away as quickly as she could, determined to put distance
between herself and everything that had just happened.
As Brooke disappeared down the street, Isaiah remained outside the house,
realizing that his attempts to stop her had failed.
Inside, the room that had been filled with secrets suddenly felt completely empty.
Brooke kept walking, replaying everything in her mind. She knew she was hurt,
but she also knew she needed to make a decision for herself.
For the first time since arriving in Philadelphia, Brooke wasn’t thinking about what Isaiah wanted.
She was thinking about what she wanted. And right now, she wanted to leave.
