Watching Him Pack
The room is quiet. Brooke stands near the doorway, watching Isaiah pull clothes from the closet, one item at a time. She already knows what is happening. Isaiah is leaving. No matter how hard she tries, she cannot bring herself to accept it.
Her eyes fill with tears.
BROOKE: Please don’t go.
Isaiah says nothing. He places another shirt into an open bag.
BROOKE: Please, Isaiah… don’t leave me.
Still, he refuses to look at her. Brooke takes a slow step closer.
BROOKE: I don’t want to lose you.
Isaiah continues packing. The sound of the zipper and folded clothes is the only response Brooke receives.
BROOKE: Please say something.
Isaiah remains silent. Brooke’s voice begins to shake.
BROOKE: I can’t stay here and watch you pack your things like I don’t even matter to you.
She wipes her tears, trying to control her emotions.
BROOKE: Please don’t leave me behind.
No Room Left to Talk
Brooke watches as Isaiah finishes gathering everything — his clothes, his shoes, his belongings. One by one, each item disappears into his bags, and with every one, she feels him slipping further away.
BROOKE: Isaiah, please.
He finally stops for a moment. Hope flickers across Brooke’s face — but he doesn’t turn toward her.
BROOKE: Just listen to me for one minute.
Isaiah takes a deep breath.
ISAIAH: There’s nothing left to talk about.
BROOKE: Yes, there is.
ISAIAH: No, Brooke. I’ve already made my decision.
BROOKE: But you can’t just leave like this.
ISAIAH: Watch me.
Brooke looks shocked by his cold response.
BROOKE: Why are you treating me like this?
ISAIAH: Because every time I listen to you, nothing changes.
BROOKE: This time will be different.
ISAIAH: You always say that.
Brooke walks closer.
BROOKE: Please, just give me one more chance.
Isaiah finally looks at her, his face serious.
ISAIAH: I don’t have another chance to give.
Tears Aren’t Enough
Brooke begins crying again, unable to hide it any longer.
BROOKE: Please don’t do this to me.
Isaiah closes another bag.
BROOKE: I don’t know what I’ll do if you leave.
ISAIAH: You’ll be okay.
BROOKE: How can you say that?
ISAIAH: Because you were okay before me.
BROOKE: That’s not the same anymore. Everything is different now.
ISAIAH: Maybe that’s the problem.
BROOKE: So you’re saying you regret me?
ISAIAH: I’m saying I need to leave.
BROOKE: And I’m asking you to stay.
For a moment, they stand in complete silence — two people wanting completely different things. Brooke wants to hold on. Isaiah wants to let go.
BROOKE: Please, Isaiah. Don’t leave me.
Isaiah looks at his final bag and takes a deep breath.
ISAIAH: I’m sorry, Brooke.
Those words hurt more than anything else.
Everything Is Packed
Isaiah places the last of his belongings into his bag and checks the room one final time. Everything he needs is ready. Brooke watches in disbelief, terrified of what comes next.
BROOKE: So that’s it?
ISAIAH: Yes.
BROOKE: You’re really going?
ISAIAH: Yes.
Brooke shakes her head.
BROOKE: You can’t do this.
ISAIAH: I already am.
Isaiah lifts one of the bags. Brooke quickly moves closer.
BROOKE: Put it down. Please.
ISAIAH: No.
BROOKE: Just stay one more night.
ISAIAH: That won’t change anything.
BROOKE: Then stay until tomorrow.
ISAIAH: Brooke.
BROOKE: Please!
Isaiah looks frustrated.
ISAIAH: Stop making this harder than it already is.
Brooke’s face falls.
BROOKE: I’m not trying to make it hard.
ISAIAH: Then let me go.
BROOKE: I can’t.
His Father Is Waiting
Footsteps approach from another room. Isaiah’s father appears near the doorway, looks at the packed bags, then at his son.
ISAIAH’S DAD: Come on. Let’s go.
Brooke turns toward him, fear rushing across her face.
BROOKE: No.
Isaiah’s father pauses. Brooke looks back at Isaiah.
BROOKE: Please don’t go. Isaiah, please listen to me. I’m begging you.
He does not respond. Isaiah walks toward the door. Brooke quickly follows.
BROOKE: Please don’t do this.
ISAIAH: Brooke, move.
BROOKE: No. Just look at me. Please!
Isaiah keeps walking, reaching the main door where his father waits. The moment Brooke realizes he’s seconds away from leaving, panic fills her heart.
She Grabs His Hand
Isaiah steps toward the main door with his bags. Brooke suddenly reaches out and grabs his hand. He stops immediately. She holds on tightly, tears still falling.
BROOKE: Please don’t leave me.
Isaiah looks down at her hand.
BROOKE: Please, Isaiah. Don’t leave me behind.
Her voice breaks.
BROOKE: I know you’re angry. I know things haven’t been perfect. But please… don’t walk out of my life like this.
Isaiah’s face becomes tense.
ISAIAH: Let go.
BROOKE: No.
ISAIAH: Brooke, let go of my hand.
BROOKE: I can’t.
ISAIAH: You have to.
BROOKE: Please stay.
Isaiah’s father looks away, giving them a moment.
BROOKE: I’ll change.
ISAIAH: This isn’t about changing.
BROOKE: Then tell me what I need to do.
ISAIAH: Nothing.
BROOKE: What do you mean, nothing?
ISAIAH: I just want to leave.
He Pulls Away
Brooke refuses to release his hand. Isaiah’s frustration finally reaches its limit.
ISAIAH: Brooke, enough!
BROOKE: Please.
ISAIAH: I said let go.
BROOKE: I love you.
Isaiah closes his eyes for a brief moment. Then he angrily pulls his hand free. Brooke stumbles backward, completely heartbroken.
BROOKE: Isaiah!
But he turns away.
BROOKE: Please don’t go! Please, just give me one reason.
Isaiah stops at the door. Brooke waits desperately for him to turn around. Slowly, he looks back at her. His expression is cold, but there is pain in his eyes.
Forget About Me
Brooke stands in the middle of the room, crying. Isaiah looks at her one last time.
BROOKE: Please… don’t leave me.
Isaiah takes a deep breath.
ISAIAH: Forget about me.
Brooke freezes.
BROOKE: What?
ISAIAH: Forget me, Brooke.
Her face collapses with emotion.
BROOKE: How can you ask me to do that?
ISAIAH: You have to move on.
BROOKE: I don’t want to move on.
ISAIAH: But I do.
Brooke slowly shakes her head.
BROOKE: I can’t believe this is how you’re leaving.
