Dan Offered Wayne $100,000 — But Wayne Refused And Threatened To Call 911, Leaving Lauren Completely Shaken!
The front door of Wayne’s house opened slowly. Lauren stood several steps behind Wayne, already sensing that something was wrong.
Dan walked through the doorway with a serious expression. He wasn’t smiling, joking, or trying to make peace.
Wayne: “Dan, what are you doing here?”
Dan stepped inside and closed the door behind him.
Dan: “I came to handle something that should’ve been handled a long time ago.”
Lauren looked between them.
Lauren: “Why does this feel like something is about to happen?”
Dan ignored her and kept his eyes on Wayne.
Dan: “Wayne, I’m giving you one chance to make this simple.”
Wayne: “Simple how?”
Dan reached into a folder and pulled out a large check. He held it toward Wayne.
$100,000
Wayne stared at it. Lauren stepped closer.
Lauren: “What is that?”
Dan turned the check around.
Dan: “One hundred thousand dollars.”
Wayne looked at the check, then at Dan.
Wayne: “And what exactly am I supposed to do for that?”
Dan: “Leave.”
The room suddenly went silent.
Lauren: “Wayne…”
Wayne: “No.”
Dan: “You didn’t even think about it.”
Wayne: “Because I don’t need to think about it.”
Dan: “You’re turning down one hundred thousand dollars?”
Wayne: “I’m turning down your offer.”
Lauren could feel the tension getting worse.
Lauren: “Can everybody just calm down?”
Dan: “That money could change your life.”
Wayne: “Then change yours with it.”
“You need to leave my house. Now.”
Dan’s jaw tightened.
Dan: “You really want to make this difficult?”
Wayne: “No. I want you to leave my house.”
Lauren: “Wayne, maybe you should just hear him out.”
Wayne: “Hear him out? He just walked into my house offering me money to leave!”
Dan: “Because I’m trying to prevent something worse.”
Wayne: “Worse than what?”
Dan paused.
Lauren: “Dan… what are you talking about?”
Dan: “You really don’t know?”
Lauren: “Know what?”
Dan looked at Wayne.
Dan: “Ask him why I brought the money.”
Wayne immediately stepped between them.
Wayne: “Don’t bring her into this.”
Dan: “That’s exactly the problem, Wayne. You keep acting like nobody else deserves answers.”
Wayne reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone.
“Or I’m calling 911.”
Dan: “You’re really going to call the police over a conversation?”
Wayne: “You came into my house, offered me money, and now you’re threatening me.”
Lauren stepped between them.
Lauren: “Please. Both of you stop.”
Dan: “Lauren, I’m trying to protect you.”
Lauren: “From what?”
Dan looked at Wayne, then back at Lauren.
Dan: “Ask Wayne what happened before I came here.”
Lauren slowly turned toward Wayne.
Lauren: “Wayne? Why did Dan bring you one hundred thousand dollars?”
Wayne said nothing.
Dan finally stepped toward the door.
Dan: “You still have one chance.”
Wayne: “And you still have one chance to leave.”
Dan stopped at the doorway and looked at Lauren one last time.
Dan: “Ask Wayne what happened before I came here.”
Dan walked outside and slowly closed the door.
Lauren waited for an answer.
Wayne’s phone was still in his hand.
Then his phone suddenly rang.
Wayne looked at the screen. His face changed instantly.
Lauren: “Who is that?”
Wayne didn’t answer.
Lauren: “Wayne… who’s calling?”
Wayne finally answered.
Wayne: “Hello?”
A voice on the other end said something that made Wayne go completely silent.
Lauren: “What did they say?”
Wayne slowly looked toward the closed front door.
Wayne: “Dan didn’t come here to make me leave.”
Lauren: “Then why did he come?”
Wayne lowered the phone.
Wayne: “Because somebody told him what I’m about to find out.”
The call suddenly disconnected.
Wayne stared at the phone.
Lauren whispered:
“Wayne… what did you just get yourself into?”
