THE HOSPITAL SECRET
The moment Anthony thought he was finally going to protect Dinisha, one sentence from the doctor turned his entire world upside down.
SCENE 1 — DINISHA COLLAPSES
The house is quiet. Dinisha suddenly stops walking. Her vision blurs as she grips the edge of a table.
DINISHA
“Anthony… I don’t feel right.”
Anthony rushes toward her. Before he can reach her, Dinisha loses consciousness and collapses into his arms.
ANTHONY
“Dinisha! Open your eyes! Please!”
SCENE 2 — THE RUSH TO THE HOSPITAL
The car speeds through the streets. Anthony keeps looking at Dinisha, who remains unconscious beside him.
ANTHONY
“Stay with me, Dinisha. Please… just stay with me.”
Minutes later, they arrive at the hospital. Doctors immediately take Dinisha inside.
SCENE 3 — THE WAIT
The hospital clock seems to move painfully slowly. Anthony walks back and forth, checking the treatment-room door again and again.
ANTHONY
“Doctor, how is she? Is Dinisha okay?”
DOCTOR
“She’s stable now. You don’t need to worry.”
Anthony exhales in relief. But then the doctor pauses.
DOCTOR
“Actually… there’s something else you should know.”
SCENE 4 — THE SHOCKING NEWS
DOCTOR
“Congratulations, Anthony.”
ANTHONY
“Congratulations… for what?”
DOCTOR
“Dinisha is pregnant.”
Anthony freezes. His eyes widen in complete shock. His happiness is immediately replaced by confusion.
ANTHONY
“Pregnant?”
DOCTOR
“Yes. She’s expecting a baby.”
Anthony slowly looks toward Dinisha’s room. One name suddenly enters his mind.
Wayne.
SCENE 5 — THE QUESTION
ANTHONY
“Doctor… are you absolutely sure?”
DOCTOR
“The test is clear. Dinisha is pregnant.”
Anthony lowers his eyes. His thoughts race as he remembers everything that has happened.
ANTHONY
“Then… whose baby is it?”
DOCTOR
“Only a proper medical test can determine paternity.”
SCENE 6 — DINISHA WAKES
Dinisha slowly opens her eyes and sees the hospital room around her. Anthony is standing near the window.
DINISHA
“Anthony?”
ANTHONY
“Dinisha… the doctor told me.”
DINISHA
“Told you what?”
ANTHONY
“You’re pregnant.”
Dinisha becomes nervous and looks away.
ANTHONY
“Is this my baby?”
Dinisha’s eyes fill with tears. She opens her mouth to answer, but no words come out.
SCENE 7 — THE SECRET REPORT
The door suddenly opens. The doctor walks in holding a medical file.
DOCTOR
“Anthony, there’s one more thing.”
ANTHONY
“What is it?”
DOCTOR
“The pregnancy results are positive, but there’s something in the medical history that we need to discuss.”
Anthony looks at Dinisha. Her face suddenly turns pale.
ANTHONY
“What medical history?”
DOCTOR
“I think Dinisha should explain this herself.”
ANTHONY
“Dinisha… what is he talking about?”
DINISHA
“Anthony, I never wanted you to find out like this.”
ANTHONY
“Find out what?”
The doctor slowly looks at the new report.
His expression changes.
“Anthony… before you assume anything, you need to see this.”
Anthony looks down at the report.
His face suddenly turns pale.
He looks at Dinisha.
But the report reveals something that could change everything.
