Mariah stared at her phone for several seconds before finally telling Hope and Faith the news. Isaiah had texted her with a decision that he had apparently been thinking about for some time. He was moving to Philadelphia.
Hope immediately looked shocked. Faith could barely believe what she was hearing. Isaiah wasn’t simply taking a short trip. He was leaving behind the life, memories, and relationships that had kept him tied to the past.
Mariah explained that Isaiah believed Philadelphia would give him the opportunity to start over. He wanted distance from everything that had happened and wanted to build a future on his own terms.
2. Isaiah’s Mother Confirms the Move
Not long afterward, Isaiah’s mother called Sharra. Her voice was calm, but the seriousness of her message was impossible to miss. She confirmed that Isaiah had already relocated to Philadelphia.
Sharra listened quietly as Isaiah’s mother explained why he had made the decision. She said Isaiah’s father had never truly been there for him, and years of disappointment had left Isaiah wanting something different.
