The Knock at the Door

The sun is beginning to disappear behind the houses. Amber walks toward Anthony’s front door with Dave beside her. Amber looks nervous, but determined. Dave remains quiet — his expression serious, a noticeable tension in the way he walks.

Amber stops at the door. She takes a deep breath.

Amber nods. She knocks. A few seconds later, the door opens. Anthony stands there. He immediately notices Dave standing beside Amber. His expression hardens.

Dave doesn’t answer. He simply walks inside with Amber. Anthony reluctantly steps aside.

Fifty Percent

Amber and Dave enter the living room. Anthony closes the door behind them. The atmosphere becomes tense. Amber stands in front of Anthony. Dave remains a few feet away, watching carefully.

Anthony immediately becomes frustrated.
