1. Bethany’s Fury Erupts

The cold hospital corridors and bitter medicines were still heavy on Bethany’s mind. But when she returned home, illness was no longer the strongest feeling inside her. Anger had taken its place.

The moment she saw Brooke sitting quietly in the lounge, Bethany walked straight toward her. Her eyes burned with frustration and pain.

Brooke lowered her gaze and remained silent while Bethany continued listing her mistakes. Every harsh word wounded Brooke deeply.

2. Brooke Makes a Dangerous Decision

Tears slowly rolled down Brooke’s face, but they were not tears of surrender. Beneath her silence, a dangerous decision was forming.

When Bethany finally went toward her room to take her medicine, Brooke saw her chance. There was only one name in her mind — Isaiah.

Brooke quietly grabbed the keys to her Nissan and slipped out through the back door. The night was dark, the wind was cold, and her hands trembled as she started the engine.

3. The Midnight Chase Begins

Brooke raced toward the main road, desperately wanting to reach Isaiah’s house before anyone could stop her.

But Larry already suspected what she was planning. The moment he noticed Brooke leaving, he started his vehicle and followed her.

Brooke repeatedly checked the rearview mirror. When she realized Larry was gaining on her, panic overwhelmed her. She pressed the accelerator harder and tried desperately to escape.

4. Larry Blocks Brooke’s Escape

Brooke was only a short distance from the turn toward Isaiah’s house when Larry accelerated past her.

In a sudden move, Larry swerved his vehicle sideways across the road, completely blocking Brooke’s path.

Brooke slammed on the brakes. Her Nissan stopped abruptly with a loud screech, leaving her trapped behind Larry’s vehicle.

Larry stepped out with a stern expression and approached the Nissan. Brooke’s final chance of reaching Isaiah seemed to disappear.

5. Brooke’s Last Hope Shattered

Larry opened the driver’s door and confronted Brooke. She desperately tried to pull away, crying and pleading to be allowed to leave.

But Larry refused to let her continue. Brooke was pulled away from her car, and her desperate escape came to an end.

Standing helplessly in the middle of the dark road, Brooke realized that she would have to return to the same house where Bethany’s anger was still waiting.
