Isaiah Confronts Cameron After Learning Brooke Stayed at His House
A Dramatic Cinematic Story
SCENE 1 — ISAIAH FINDS OUT
The evening is quiet, but Isaiah’s mind is anything but calm. He has just discovered that Brooke ran away from home and spent two nights at Cameron’s house. What makes Isaiah even more upset is that Cameron never told him.
Isaiah stands outside, staring at his phone as he reads the messages again. His expression changes from confusion to anger.
He slowly puts the phone away.
ISAIAH
Brooke was at Cameron’s house for two nights?
He takes a deep breath, trying to control his emotions.
ISAIAH
And Cameron never said a word to me?
Isaiah begins walking back and forth. He feels betrayed by both Brooke and Cameron. He knows Brooke had her reasons for leaving home, but he cannot understand why Cameron kept everything from him.
ISAIAH: I need to hear this from Cameron himself.
Isaiah grabs his keys and heads outside. He gets into his car and drives toward Cameron’s house. The entire drive, Isaiah remains silent. His hands grip the steering wheel tightly.
SCENE 2 — CAMERON’S HOUSE
Cameron is standing outside his house when Isaiah’s car pulls up. Cameron immediately notices the serious look on Isaiah’s face.
Isaiah steps out of the car and walks toward him.
CAMERON
Isaiah? What’s going on?
Isaiah stops a few feet away from him.
ISAIAH
You already know what’s going on.
Cameron looks confused.
CAMERON
I don’t understand what you’re talking about.
Isaiah shakes his head.
ISAIAH
Don’t do that, Cameron. Pretend you don’t know anything.
Isaiah takes out his phone.
ISAIAH
I found out Brooke ran away from home.
Cameron becomes silent.
ISAIAH
And I found out she stayed here for two nights.
Cameron looks away. That reaction immediately tells Isaiah that the information is true.
SCENE 3 — THE CONFRONTATION
Isaiah steps closer.
ISAIAH
Why didn’t you tell me?
Cameron sighs.
CAMERON
Isaiah, listen to me.
ISAIAH
No. You listen to me.
Isaiah points toward Cameron.
ISAIAH
You knew Brooke was here for two days, and you never said anything.
Cameron tries to explain.
CAMERON
Brooke came here because she didn’t know where else to go.
Isaiah’s voice becomes louder.
ISAIAH
Then you should have called me!
Cameron lowers his eyes.
CAMERON
I know.
ISAIAH
You knew I was looking for her! You knew I was worried about her, and you still kept it from me.
Isaiah’s voice becomes emotional.
ISAIAH
Why, Cameron?
There is a long silence.
SCENE 4 — ISAIAH LOSES HIS TEMPER
Isaiah’s anger reaches its limit.
ISAIAH
You tried to betray me.
Cameron quickly shakes his head.
CAMERON
That’s not what happened.
ISAIAH
Then what happened?
CAMERON
Brooke showed up here unexpectedly. She told me she didn’t want to go back home.
Isaiah listens but remains furious.
CAMERON
I gave her somewhere to sleep. That’s all.
ISAIAH
And you couldn’t tell me?
CAMERON
I should have told you.
Isaiah steps forward.
ISAIAH
You should have.
In a sudden burst of anger, Isaiah punches Cameron. Cameron stumbles backward, shocked by what just happened.
The moment becomes completely silent.
Cameron touches his face and looks at Isaiah with disbelief.
CAMERON
Why would you do that?
Isaiah breathes heavily.
ISAIAH
Because I’m tired of people lying to me.
Cameron looks hurt and angry.
CAMERON
You could have talked to me instead of hitting me.
Isaiah doesn’t respond immediately.
SCENE 5 — CAMERON SPEAKS HIS TRUTH
Cameron takes a step back. His voice is calmer now, but his emotions are obvious.
CAMERON
You think I was trying to take Brooke away from you?
Isaiah looks at him.
ISAIAH
What am I supposed to think?
CAMERON
You should have asked me before accusing me.
Isaiah remains silent.
CAMERON
Brooke was upset. She needed a place to stay, and I helped her.
ISAIAH
Then why hide it?
CAMERON
Because I was afraid you’d misunderstand.
Isaiah looks down.
CAMERON
But I made a mistake by keeping it from you.
Cameron looks directly at Isaiah.
CAMERON
I should have told you the moment she arrived. But don’t accuse me of cheating when you don’t know what happened.
Isaiah takes another breath.
SCENE 6 — CAMERON FIRES BACK
Isaiah points at Cameron again.
ISAIAH
From now on, don’t ever lie to me again.
Cameron responds firmly.
CAMERON
Then don’t ever come at me like this again.
Isaiah looks surprised.
CAMERON
If you want the truth, ask me. If you’re angry, talk to me. But don’t put your hands on me.
Isaiah remains quiet.
CAMERON
I understand why you’re angry. But Brooke wasn’t staying here because I was trying to betray you.
Isaiah looks away.
ISAIAH
I still don’t understand why you kept this from me.
CAMERON
I already told you. I was afraid of what would happen.
Isaiah shakes his head.
ISAIAH
And now look what happened.
Cameron nods.
CAMERON
Exactly.
SCENE 7 — THE BIGGER PROBLEM
The two men stand several feet apart. Neither of them speaks for a moment.
Isaiah realizes that his anger has created another problem.
ISAIAH
Where is Brooke now?
Cameron looks toward the house.
CAMERON
She’s not here anymore.
Isaiah immediately becomes concerned.
ISAIAH
Where did she go?
CAMERON
I don’t know.
Isaiah looks frustrated.
ISAIAH
You don’t know?
CAMERON
She left after she realized you were looking for her.
Isaiah’s expression changes. His anger is replaced by concern.
ISAIAH
I need to find her.
Cameron nods.
CAMERON
Then go find her.
Isaiah looks at Cameron one last time.
ISAIAH
We’re not finished talking.
CAMERON
I know.
Isaiah walks back toward his car.
SCENE 8 — WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT?
Before getting into his car, Isaiah turns around.
ISAIAH
And Cameron…
Cameron looks at him.
ISAIAH
If you know where Brooke is, tell me the truth.
Cameron nods.
CAMERON
I will.
Isaiah gets into his car and drives away.
Cameron watches the car disappear down the street. He touches his face and shakes his head.
CAMERON
This situation is getting worse.
Isaiah drives through the city, trying to figure out where Brooke could have gone. His mind is filled with questions.
Why did Brooke leave? Why did she stay with Cameron? Why didn’t Cameron tell him? And most importantly, where is Brooke now?
Isaiah knows that confronting Cameron did not solve anything. If anything, it created an even bigger conflict.
Meanwhile, Cameron stands outside his house, wondering whether he should tell Isaiah everything he knows. He realizes that keeping secrets has only made the situation more complicated.
Isaiah knows he has to find Brooke and hear her side of the story.
But when he finally finds her, he may have to face an even more difficult conversation. Brooke may have her own explanation for everything that happened, and Isaiah may discover that those two nights at Cameron’s house were not what he thought.
TO BE CONTINUED…
What will Brooke say when Isaiah finally finds her?
And will Cameron be able to prove that he never betrayed Isaiah?
