When Natasha Finally Filed the Complaint

When Natasha Finally Filed the Complaint

The Decision Natasha Had Been Avoiding

For several days, Natasha had been struggling with a decision that she knew could completely change the lives of everyone involved. She had watched the situation between Cadrick and Libby become increasingly complicated, and she could no longer convince herself that remaining silent was the right thing to do.

Finally, Natasha took the step she had been thinking about for days. She officially filed a complaint against Cadrick.

The accusation was serious. According to Natasha, Cadrick, a lawyer representing Libby, had crossed professional boundaries with his own client. She claimed that he had become excessively flirtatious with Libby and allegedly developed a secret relationship with her.

Natasha knew that making such an accusation could have serious consequences. She also understood that every claim would have to be investigated carefully before anyone could determine what had actually happened.

Cadrick Denies Everything

When Cadrick learned about the complaint, he was furious but remained surprisingly calm. He immediately rejected every allegation made against him.

“This is all a misunderstanding. There is nothing like that between Libby and me.”

Cadrick insisted that his relationship with Libby had always been professional. He argued that Natasha had misunderstood ordinary conversations and had turned innocent interactions into something much more serious.

But the complaint could not simply disappear. An official investigation was opened, and Investigation Officer Ladonna was assigned to examine the allegations.

Three Meetings With Ladonna

Ladonna met with Cadrick three separate times. During every interview, she carefully questioned him about his relationship with Libby, his professional responsibilities, and the accusations contained in Natasha’s complaint.

Cadrick remained composed throughout the questioning. He answered some questions directly, carefully avoided others, and somehow managed to redirect the conversation whenever Ladonna appeared to be getting too close to something uncomfortable.

Ladonna noticed his confidence. She also noticed how easily he could turn a difficult question into a casual conversation.

By the third meeting, the atmosphere between them had become noticeably different. What had started as a formal investigation seemed to be drifting into something far less professional.

The Unexpected Invitation

As the third interview came to an end, Cadrick leaned back in his chair and gave Ladonna a confident smile.

“You’ve put me in the hot seat three times. How about giving me a chance to have coffee with you?”

Ladonna stared at him for a few moments. She knew she was supposed to remain focused on the investigation, yet Cadrick’s confidence caught her off guard.

Eventually, she smiled despite herself.

“Just coffee.”

Cadrick smiled again.

“Let’s see where the night takes us.”

Neither of them seemed to realize how quickly that decision could complicate the investigation.

Natasha Hears the News

News of the meeting reached Natasha soon afterward. She was stunned when she discovered that the very officer investigating Cadrick was now going out with him.

Natasha immediately contacted Libby. She believed Libby deserved to see the situation for herself rather than simply hearing another explanation from Cadrick.

“Tonight, you’ll see for yourself how truthful Cadrick’s words really are.”

Libby was confused and angry, but she agreed to find out what was happening.

The Restaurant Encounter

That evening, Cadrick and Ladonna were sitting across from each other in an elegant restaurant upstairs. The room was quiet, the lighting was soft, and the atmosphere appeared relaxed.

Their conversation was light and personal. Yet both of them knew that their meeting was far from ordinary.

Cadrick once again began using his familiar charm. Ladonna listened carefully, occasionally smiling as he spoke.

Then suddenly, footsteps echoed from the staircase.

Ladonna turned around.

Libby was standing there.

Her expression immediately changed the atmosphere in the room. Shock, anger, and disappointment were all visible on her face.

Cadrick froze. The glass in his hand stopped halfway to the table.

“So This Is the Investigation?”

Libby’s voice broke the silence.

“So this is the ‘just an investigation’?”

Cadrick suddenly had no smooth explanation ready. The confidence that had carried him through three interviews seemed to disappear in an instant.

Ladonna looked down at the investigation file lying on the table. Then she looked back at Cadrick.

For the first time, she began questioning whether the words that had impressed her were actually revealing something much more important. His charm, his confidence, and his ability to redirect difficult conversations might now become evidence against him rather than protection.

And near the entrance, Natasha stood silently, watching everything unfold.

The situation was no longer simply about Natasha’s complaint. The investigation itself had suddenly become part of the controversy.

Libby had witnessed the meeting with her own eyes. Ladonna now had to consider whether her personal interaction with Cadrick had compromised the investigation. Natasha’s original accusations had taken on a completely new dimension.

One thing was certain: the case had changed direction, and whatever happened next could expose secrets that none of them were prepared to face.
