Lauren Confronts Wayne
Scene 1 — Wayne’s Living Room | Evening
The evening is peaceful inside Wayne’s luxurious house. Warm lights illuminate the living room as Wayne sits on the sofa beside Yaya, his new girlfriend. They smile and talk together, unaware that their peaceful night is about to turn into a nightmare.
You know, Wayne, I never expected things between us to happen this quickly.
Neither did I. But sometimes, when you meet the right person, everything feels different.
Yaya gently holds his hand. She is happy, but a small question has been troubling her.
I just hope there isn’t someone from your past who might try to come between us.
Lauren and I have history, but that chapter is over. I’ve made my decision.
Scene 2 — Lauren Discovers the Truth
Across town, Lauren sits alone in her bedroom, staring at a photograph of Wayne and Yaya together. Her heart sinks as she realizes that Wayne has moved on with another woman.
No… this can’t be happening. After everything we went through together, Wayne?
Tears roll down her cheeks. She remembers the promises Wayne once made and the future she thought they would share. Her sadness slowly turns into anger.
You don’t get to replace me like I never meant anything to you!
Lauren grabs her keys and prepares to leave. She takes a pistol with her, determined to confront Wayne. For a moment, she hesitates, but her emotions overwhelm her. She rushes out of the house, desperate for answers.
Scene 3 — An Unexpected Arrival
Back at Wayne’s house, another loud knock interrupts the conversation. Before Wayne can understand what is happening, Lauren storms through the front door.
Her eyes are red from crying. She looks directly at Wayne, ignoring everything around her. Suddenly, she raises the pistol toward his head.
Wayne freezes in shock. Yaya gasps and moves away, terrified by the unexpected confrontation.
Lauren? What are you doing?
What am I doing? You really have the nerve to ask me that after what you’ve done?
Lauren, please! Put the gun down. We can talk about this.
Wayne slowly raises his hands and avoids making any sudden movements. Yaya sits frozen on the sofa, unable to believe what is happening.
Scene 4 — Why Did You Betray Me?
Lauren’s hands tremble as she struggles to control her emotions. Tears stream down her face while Wayne watches her anxiously.
You told me you loved me! You promised that I was the woman you wanted to spend your life with!
WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO ME, WAYNE? Why did you find another girlfriend without even giving me the truth?
Lauren, our relationship wasn’t working anymore. Things had changed between us.
Lauren stares at him in disbelief. His answer feels like another betrayal. She points toward Yaya, her expression filled with jealousy and pain.
Is she the reason you left me? How long has this been going on?
I didn’t know things were like this between you two. Wayne told me your relationship was over.
You told her that, Wayne? You really told her that our relationship was over?
Yes. Because it was over.
The words hit Lauren harder than she expected. Her expression changes from anger to heartbreak. For a moment, she struggles to speak.
So you really don’t love me anymore?
I care about what we had, Lauren. But I can’t pretend that I still feel the same way.
Scene 5 — Yaya Is Terrified
Yaya sits at the far end of the sofa, tears gathering in her eyes. She is afraid that the situation could become even more dangerous. Wayne keeps his hands visible and speaks carefully.
Wayne, please… I’m scared.
Lauren, look at me. I know you’re hurting, but please don’t let this moment destroy your life.
I gave you everything, Wayne! Why wasn’t I enough?
Her voice breaks. The anger in her face gives way to unbearable sadness. Wayne looks at her with fear and regret, knowing that the situation could change their lives forever.
Please put the weapon down and step away from it. We can get help. You don’t have to face this alone.
Lauren looks at Wayne, then at Yaya. Her hand trembles. For the first time, she seems to understand how far her heartbreak has pushed her.
Scene 6 — The Painful Truth
The living room falls silent. Lauren’s eyes fill with tears as she realizes that no answer can undo the pain she feels.
You get to move on. You get to smile and fall in love again. And I’m supposed to walk away as if none of it ever mattered?
What we had mattered to me, Lauren. I’m sorry you’re hurting, but I can’t force myself to stay in a relationship that has ended.
Lauren looks down at the pistol in her hand. Her anger begins to give way to fear and confusion. Wayne remains still, giving her space and continuing to speak calmly.
I hope she’s worth it, Wayne. Because I don’t know how I’m supposed to live with what you’ve done to me.
Wayne looks at her sadly. Yaya remains silent, frightened and uncertain about what will happen next. Lauren stands near the doorway, caught between the love she once felt and the heartbreak she cannot escape.
