1. Wayne Calls an Important Meeting

Wayne had arranged an important meeting at his podcast office. He wanted to discuss a new business opportunity with Dave and Anthony, hoping their investment could take his podcast company to the next level. However, Wayne had no idea that this meeting would soon turn into a dramatic confrontation.

When Dave arrived at the office, he was not alone. Evelyn, his former girlfriend and business partner, walked beside him. Dave looked completely confident, carrying some important business documents in his hand.

Wayne was sitting near the conference table when the door opened. The moment he saw Evelyn standing beside Dave, his expression changed. Anthony, who had been discussing business plans with Wayne, also looked surprised.

“Dave, I wasn’t expecting you to bring Evelyn with you,” Wayne said, looking from Dave to Evelyn.

Dave smiled slightly and pulled out a chair for Evelyn. “I know this might come as a surprise, but Evelyn is here because she wants to invest in the business. We have worked together before, and she understands how this industry works.”

Evelyn greeted everyone politely and placed her documents on the table. She appeared calm, but Anthony immediately sensed that her presence could create serious problems.

2. Anthony Sends Amber a Warning

Anthony knew that Dave’s relationship with Evelyn was a sensitive subject, especially because Dave had promised Amber that their future together would be his priority. He quietly took out his phone beneath the conference table and opened Amber’s messages.

He quickly typed a message explaining that Dave had arrived at Wayne’s podcast office with Evelyn, his ex-girlfriend. Anthony also warned Amber that Evelyn was planning to become involved in Dave’s business again.

A few moments later, Anthony noticed that Amber had read his message. He sent another text, urging her to remain calm until she understood the complete situation.

But Amber was already furious.

She immediately grabbed her belongings, left what she was doing, and headed straight to Wayne’s office. Her mind was filled with painful questions. Why was Dave bringing his ex into his business? Had he been hiding something from her? And was their promised future nothing more than a lie?

3. Amber Attacks Evelyn

Inside the conference room, Dave had started explaining the investment proposal. Wayne listened carefully while Evelyn described her business experience. Anthony, however, kept glancing at his phone, knowing Amber could arrive at any moment.

Suddenly, the office door swung open.

Amber rushed inside. Her eyes immediately landed on Dave and Evelyn sitting together at the conference table. Seeing them together made her lose control of her emotions.

“So this is what you’ve been doing behind my back?” Amber shouted.

Before anyone could react, Amber stormed toward Evelyn and tried to attack her. Evelyn jumped to her feet, shocked by the sudden confrontation. Wayne hurried forward, while Dave quickly stepped between the two women and stopped Amber from reaching Evelyn.

“Amber! Stop! What are you doing?” Dave demanded.

Amber struggled to pull away, her face burning with anger and hurt. She pointed toward Evelyn, who stood silently beside the table.

“You promised to marry me, Dave! You made me believe that I was the only woman you wanted in your life. And now you’ve brought your ex-girlfriend here as if nothing ever happened between you two!”

4. Dave Tries to Explain the Truth

Dave took a deep breath and tried to calm Amber down. He could see how deeply hurt she was, but he also knew that the business meeting had nothing to do with romance.

“Amber, please listen to me. Evelyn is here strictly as my business partner. We are discussing an investment. There is nothing romantic between us anymore,” he explained.

Evelyn finally spoke, trying to defend herself. “Amber, I didn’t come here to interfere in your relationship. Dave and I have a professional connection. That’s all.”

But Amber refused to believe them. To her, seeing Evelyn beside Dave was enough to reopen every fear she had tried to ignore.

“I don’t care about your business!” Amber snapped. “If you want to work with Evelyn, then you can forget about marrying me. You will not do business with her while I’m still waiting for you to keep your promise!”

The room fell silent. Wayne looked uncomfortable, Anthony lowered his eyes, and Evelyn slowly gathered her documents. Dave stared at Amber, realizing that no matter how carefully he explained himself, she was not ready to listen.

5. Amber Walks Away — But What Happens Next?

Amber turned toward the door, wiping away the tears that had gathered in her eyes. Dave called her name, but she continued walking.

“Amber, please! Don’t leave like this. We need to talk!” Dave shouted as he hurried after her.

Amber stopped briefly in the hallway but did not turn around. Her voice trembled as she delivered one final warning.

“You have made your choice, Dave. Now I will make mine.”

She continued toward the exit. Dave rushed after her, leaving Wayne, Anthony, and Evelyn alone in the conference room. The important business meeting had completely fallen apart, and nobody knew whether Dave’s relationship with Amber could ever recover.

Inside the office, Wayne slowly turned toward Evelyn. Anthony remained silent, watching the hallway where Dave had disappeared.

Then Evelyn’s phone suddenly vibrated.

She glanced at the screen, and the confident expression on her face instantly disappeared. A new message had arrived from an unknown number.
