SCENE 1: AMBER ARRIVES AT THE HOUSE

INT. DAVE’S SISTER’S HOUSE — AFTERNOON

The afternoon is peaceful inside Dave’s sister’s house. She is relaxing in the living room when someone knocks at the door. She opens it and finds Amber standing outside.

Amber walks inside with a smile, expecting a pleasant visit. But the moment she enters the living room, her expression changes. Evelyn is already sitting on the sofa, talking comfortably with Dave’s sister.

DAVE’S SISTER

Amber! What a surprise. I wasn’t expecting you today. Is everything okay?

AMBER

Everything is fine. I was nearby, so I decided to stop by and see you.

Suddenly, Amber notices Evelyn. Her smile disappears, and she stares at her in disbelief.

AMBER

Evelyn? Why are you here?

EVELYN

I’m visiting Dave’s sister. Is there a problem?

Amber turns toward Dave’s sister, expecting an explanation. The peaceful visit has already become uncomfortable.

SCENE 2: AMBER DEMANDS ANSWERS

INT. LIVING ROOM — CONTINUOUS

AMBER

Why is Evelyn here? And why didn’t you tell me she was coming?

DAVE’S SISTER

Because I invited her over, Amber. We were talking, and I didn’t think it would become a problem.

Amber folds her arms and shakes her head. She cannot believe Evelyn was invited without her knowing.

AMBER

You knew we had problems, and you still invited her here without saying a word to me?

DAVE’S SISTER

This is my home, Amber. I can invite people over. I didn’t invite her to upset you.

AMBER

Well, you should have thought about how I would feel when I walked in and found her sitting here!

Evelyn puts down her phone and stands up. She has listened to Amber complain long enough.

EVELYN

Why are you making such a big deal out of this? I came here to visit her, not to fight with you.

AMBER

Nobody asked you to get involved. I was talking to Dave’s sister.

EVELYN

Then talk to her without treating me like I have no right to be here.

SCENE 3: EVELYN CONFRONTS AMBER

INT. LIVING ROOM — MOMENTS LATER

Evelyn steps forward, refusing to let Amber intimidate her. Dave’s sister watches anxiously as the argument grows louder.

EVELYN

Amber, what is your problem with me? Why do you get angry every time you see me? I haven’t done anything to you today.

AMBER

Don’t stand there pretending you don’t understand. You know exactly why I don’t want you around me.

EVELYN

No, I don’t. If you have something to say, then say it clearly. Stop making a scene in front of everybody.

AMBER

I’m making a scene? You’re the one who wants to argue with me!

EVELYN

I only answered your questions. You walked in here angry, and now you’re blaming me for it.

DAVE’S SISTER

Please, both of you! I don’t want this argument in my home.

Neither woman backs down. Amber feels that Evelyn is challenging her, while Evelyn believes Amber is trying to control everyone around her.

SCENE 4: AMBER CLAIMS HER POSITION

INT. LIVING ROOM — CONTINUOUS

AMBER

I am Dave’s wife. I am part of this family, and I will not let you disrespect me in front of everyone.

EVELYN

Being Dave’s wife doesn’t mean you control everybody in his family. This is his sister’s house, not yours.

Dave’s sister looks uncomfortable. She wants to calm the situation, but Amber’s anger is growing by the second.

DAVE’S SISTER

Amber, I respect you, but I invited Evelyn here because I wanted to. I wasn’t trying to hurt you.

AMBER

Then why didn’t you tell me? You knew I might have a problem with it!

DAVE’S SISTER

I shouldn’t need permission to invite someone into my own home.

EVELYN

She’s right. You can’t decide who she’s allowed to see.

Amber turns sharply toward Evelyn, her patience nearly gone.

AMBER

Enough! I’m done listening to you. You need to leave.

SCENE 5: AMBER ORDERS EVELYN OUT

INT. LIVING ROOM — AFTERNOON

EVELYN

Excuse me? Who do you think you are to order me out? I was invited here.

AMBER

I don’t want you here. Get your things and leave!

DAVE’S SISTER

Amber, stop! You cannot come into my house and throw out my guest. I invited Evelyn, and I decide when her visit ends.

Amber looks at Dave’s sister in disbelief. She expected support, not resistance.

AMBER

So you’re taking her side now? After everything?

DAVE’S SISTER

This isn’t about sides. It’s about respecting my home and the decisions I make in it.

EVELYN

I came here for a peaceful visit. I never expected to be treated like this.

Evelyn picks up her belongings and walks toward the front door. Amber follows her, still insisting that she leave. Dave’s sister hurries behind them, shocked that the argument has gone this far.

DAVE’S SISTER

Amber, please think about what you’re doing. This is going too far!

Evelyn steps outside. Amber stands at the doorway, furious, while Evelyn turns back with a hurt expression.

EVELYN

You may have forced me to leave today, Amber, but you haven’t solved anything.

Amber says nothing. Evelyn walks away, leaving the doorway filled with tense silence.

SCENE 6: DAVE’S SISTER IS SHOCKED

INT. LIVING ROOM — A FEW MINUTES LATER

Dave’s sister slowly closes the door. She turns toward Amber, unable to believe what has just happened in her own home.

DAVE’S SISTER

Amber, what was that? I have never seen you behave like this here before.

AMBER

I wasn’t going to let Evelyn disrespect me. She knew I wouldn’t be happy seeing her here.

DAVE’S SISTER

She was sitting in my living room, visiting me. You could have talked to me privately instead of forcing her out.

AMBER

You don’t understand what I’m dealing with. You don’t know how I feel whenever she’s around.

DAVE’S SISTER

Then explain it to me. But being upset doesn’t give you the right to decide who can visit my house.

Amber looks away, frustrated. She had expected Dave’s sister to agree with her, but now she realizes that she has damaged their relationship too.

AMBER

So now I’m the bad person in everyone’s eyes?

DAVE’S SISTER

I’m telling you that what happened today was wrong. I care about you, but I won’t pretend this was okay.

SCENE 7: DAVE MAY SOON LEARN THE TRUTH

INT. DAVE’S SISTER’S HOUSE — EVENING

The house grows quiet. Dave’s sister sits on the sofa, replaying the confrontation in her mind. She picks up her phone, wondering whether she should call Dave and tell him what happened.

DAVE’S SISTER

Dave needs to know about this. I never expected a simple visit to turn into such a huge argument.

She begins typing a message, then pauses. She doesn’t want to create a bigger family conflict, but she also doesn’t want the truth to be hidden.

Outside, Amber takes out her own phone. She is determined to speak to Dave before anyone else tells him what happened.

AMBER

Everyone keeps acting like I’m the problem. Dave needs to understand why I reacted the way I did.

Amber starts calling Dave, unaware that his sister is preparing to contact him too. Both women are about to tell him their versions of the same incident.

Dave’s sister looks at her phone one last time. She knows that once Dave hears about the confrontation, he will have questions for both of them.

Will Dave defend his wife, or will he be angry that Amber forced Evelyn out of his sister’s house? And what will happen when Evelyn tells her side of the story?
