BETHANY RUNS AWAY FROM HOME — BUT LARRY FINDS HER AT JASSI’S HOUSE!
THE SHOCKING HOOK
One night of unbearable tension forced Bethany to make a decision that would change everything. She thought Jassi could give her a safe place to escape, but she never imagined Larry would discover her secret. When Larry arrived at Jassi’s house, his anger exploded into a confrontation nobody could control. But just when Bethany thought things couldn’t get worse, Larry revealed that Jassi was hiding something—and the truth could change everything!
SCENE 1: BETHANY REACHES HER BREAKING POINT
Late at night, the house is filled with tension. Bethany sits alone, exhausted by the constant problems surrounding her. She feels trapped, and every minute inside the house makes her want to leave even more.
“I can’t keep living like this anymore. Every single day, there’s another argument, another problem, and another reason for me to feel miserable. I need some peace in my life.”
Bethany wipes away her tears and looks toward the bedroom door. She listens carefully, hoping nobody will notice her leaving.
“Maybe if I leave tonight, everyone will finally understand how much I’ve been going through. I just need somewhere to stay until I can figure out what to do next.”
She quietly gathers a few belongings and puts them into a bag. Then she walks toward the front door, but suddenly stops. She realizes she has nowhere to go.
“Where am I supposed to go? I can’t just walk outside in the middle of the night with nowhere to stay. I don’t even know who I can trust right now.”
Bethany sits down again, frustrated and confused. Then an idea comes into her mind. She remembers Jassi.
“Wait a minute. Jassi! Maybe he can help me. I haven’t told him everything that’s been happening here, but perhaps he’ll understand.”
Bethany grabs her phone and searches for Jassi’s contact. Her hands tremble as she prepares to call him.
SCENE 2: BETHANY CALLS JASSI
The phone rings several times before Jassi finally answers. He sounds surprised to hear from Bethany so late at night.
“Bethany? What’s going on? Why are you calling me at this hour? Is everything okay?”
“No, Jassi. Nothing is okay. I’m tired of everything happening in this house. I can’t handle these problems anymore, and I don’t want to stay here tonight.”
“What do you mean you don’t want to stay there? What happened? Tell me everything.”
“I’ve tried to deal with everything, but I’m reaching my limit. I feel like I can’t breathe in this house anymore. I was going to leave, but then I realized I don’t have anywhere to go.”
There is a brief silence. Jassi realizes Bethany genuinely needs help.
“Bethany, why didn’t you call me sooner? Have you forgotten that I’m here? Did you think I was dead or something? If you needed help, you should have called me!”
“I didn’t want to bother you, Jassi. I thought you might be busy, and I didn’t know how you would react.”
“Don’t worry about any of that. Pack whatever you need and get ready. I’m coming to get you, and you can stay with me while we figure things out.”
“Are you serious? You’ll really come and get me?”
“Of course I’m serious. Just keep your phone with you. I’m on my way.”
The call ends. Bethany picks up her bag and prepares to leave.
SCENE 3: JASSI TAKES BETHANY TO HIS HOUSE
A short time later, Jassi arrives. Bethany comes outside with her bag and walks toward him.
“Bethany, are you sure you want to leave tonight? I don’t want you making a decision you’ll regret later.”
“I’ve thought about it enough, Jassi. I just need some distance from everything happening here. I need time to think without constantly dealing with arguments.”
“Okay. Come with me. You don’t have to explain everything right now. We can talk when you’re feeling better.”
Bethany gets into the car, and Jassi drives away. As the house disappears in the distance, she looks out the window, wondering whether she has made the right decision.
“I hope I did the right thing. I don’t want to hurt anyone, but I couldn’t keep pretending that everything was fine.”
“Sometimes you need to step away from a situation before you can understand what to do next. We’ll think about the next step together.”
They arrive at Jassi’s house. He helps her bring her belongings inside.
“You can rest here tonight. Nobody is going to force you to explain everything before you’re ready.”
“Thank you, Jassi. I honestly didn’t know what I was going to do if you hadn’t answered my call.”
Neither of them realizes that Larry is about to discover Bethany is missing.
SCENE 4: LARRY WAKES UP TO AN EMPTY HOUSE
Early the next morning, Larry wakes up and notices that something feels unusual. The house is strangely quiet. He walks through the rooms, expecting to find Bethany, but she is nowhere to be seen.
“Bethany? Where are you?”
He checks another room. Nothing. Then he notices that some of her belongings are missing.
“What is going on here? Where did she go? Why would she leave without telling anyone?”
Larry’s confusion quickly turns into anger. He picks up his phone and tries calling Bethany, but she doesn’t answer.
“You’ve got to be kidding me! She can’t just disappear like this and expect me not to do anything!”
He searches around the house, growing more frustrated with every passing minute.
“First, all these problems start happening, and now Bethany is missing. I need to find out where she went.”
Larry grabs his keys and heads outside, determined to discover where she has gone.
SCENE 5: LARRY DISCOVERS BETHANY’S LOCATION
After searching for some time, Larry begins considering the people Bethany might have contacted. Suddenly, one name comes into his mind: Jassi.
“Wait a minute. Could she be with Jassi? Did she actually go to his house without telling me?”
Larry immediately heads toward Jassi’s home. His thoughts race as he drives.
“If she’s there, I’m going to demand an explanation. I want to know why she left and why nobody told me anything.”
Finally, Larry arrives at Jassi’s house. He gets out of the car and walks toward the entrance. Before knocking, he glances through the window. Then he freezes.
Inside the house, he sees Bethany sitting with Jassi. Larry’s face changes instantly.
“Bethany? What are you doing here?”
Bethany turns toward the voice. Her expression changes when she sees Larry standing at the entrance.
“Larry? What are you doing here?”
“What am I doing here? I should be asking you that question! You disappeared from the house, and now I find you sitting here with Jassi!”
“Larry, calm down. There’s no reason to come in here shouting. Bethany called me because she needed help.”
“Help? And you thought the best thing to do was bring her to your house without telling anyone?”
“She was upset and didn’t have anywhere else to go. I wasn’t going to ignore her when she needed someone.”
“You should have stayed out of this!”
“Larry, stop! I called Jassi myself. He didn’t force me to come here. I made that decision because I needed some space.”
“So now you’re taking his side against me?”
“I’m not taking anybody’s side! I’m trying to explain what happened, but you won’t even listen to me!”
SCENE 6: THE FIGHT THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING
Larry steps closer to Jassi, his anger getting the better of him.
“You had no right to get involved in my family matters!”
“I didn’t create these problems, Larry. Bethany came to me because she was struggling. If you want answers, talk to her instead of blaming me for everything!”
Larry loses his temper and suddenly begins hitting Jassi. Jassi tries to protect himself as Bethany screams and rushes between them, desperately trying to stop the confrontation.
“Larry, stop! What are you doing? Please stop fighting!”
“You think you can take Bethany away and everything will be fine? You have no idea what you’ve gotten yourself into!”
“I didn’t take her anywhere against her will! She called me because she needed help. Why can’t you understand that?”
Bethany looks from Larry to Jassi, horrified by how quickly everything has spiraled out of control.
“Enough! Both of you need to stop! I came here because I couldn’t handle the situation at home anymore, and now you’re turning this into an even bigger disaster!”
Larry finally steps back. Jassi straightens himself and looks at him with anger and disbelief.
“You came here looking for Bethany, and now you’ve started a fight. Is this really what you wanted?”
Larry turns toward Bethany.
“Get your things. We’re leaving.”
“No, Larry. I’m not leaving just because you ordered me to. I need time to think, and I’m not going back until we’re ready to talk calmly.”
“You really think you can stay here after everything that’s happened?”
“I don’t know what happens next. But I know I can’t keep living the same way and pretending nothing is wrong.”
“She deserves a chance to speak for herself. If you want to resolve this, you need to stop threatening everyone and start listening.”
For a moment, nobody says anything. Then Larry slowly reaches for his phone. He looks at Bethany, then at Jassi, before speaking in a cold, controlled voice.
“Fine. If that’s how both of you want to play this, then there’s something you need to know.”
“What are you talking about, Larry?”
“You think you know why everything has been happening in that house? You think you understand the real reason I got so angry?”
He pauses, watching Bethany’s expression change.
“There’s something I haven’t told you about Jassi. And after you hear it, you might not want to stay in this house anymore.”
Jassi’s face suddenly goes pale. Bethany turns toward him, confused and frightened by his reaction.
“Jassi? What is Larry talking about? Is there something you haven’t told me?”
Jassi opens his mouth to answer, but no words come out. Larry gives them one final look before turning toward the door.
“Ask him what happened before you called him last night.”
He walks outside, leaving Bethany staring at Jassi in complete disbelief. Jassi lowers his eyes. Bethany takes a step toward him, her voice trembling.
“Tell me the truth, Jassi. What happened before last night?”
Jassi slowly looks up at her. Just as he begins to speak, someone suddenly knocks loudly on the front door. All three of them freeze. Jassi looks toward the entrance, and the color drains from his face.
Bethany stares at him, waiting for an explanation. But before Jassi can say a single word, the person outside knocks again—this time even louder.
THE FINAL TWIST
Bethany steps back as Jassi moves toward the door. Larry is already outside, but the person knocking is someone neither Bethany nor Jassi expected to see.
Jassi reaches for the handle, then suddenly stops. He looks at Bethany with fear in his eyes.
BETHANY: “Jassi, please tell me what’s going on. Who is standing outside?”
Jassi takes a deep breath. The door begins to open, but the visitor’s face remains hidden from Bethany’s view.
Then a familiar voice speaks from the other side of the door—and Bethany realizes that her problems are far from over.
