The Wedding Invitation That Shattered Larry
Sharra arrives at Larry’s house with an unexpected wedding invitation. But when Larry discovers the shocking news, he becomes overwhelmed and suddenly collapses. Bethany rushes outside and holds Sharra responsible for everything that has happened.
The morning is peaceful. Larry is standing outside his house, checking the mailbox for the morning’s deliveries. He casually looks through a few envelopes when he suddenly notices Sharra approaching.
Sharra is carrying a beautifully decorated wedding invitation card. She looks excited and walks toward Larry with a bright smile.
LARRY:
“Good morning, Sharra. What brings you here so early?”
SHARRA:
“Good morning, Larry! Actually, I came here because I have some very special news to share with you.”
Larry raises his eyebrows, wondering what she has to tell him.
LARRY:
“Special news? Now you’ve made me curious. What’s going on?”
Sharra looks at the invitation card in her hand and extends it toward Larry.
SHARRA:
“I’m getting married, Larry! And guess what? You’re invited too! This is my wedding invitation. I personally wanted to give it to you because I really want you to attend my wedding.”
SHARRA:
“Here, take it. And please, don’t make any excuses. You absolutely have to come!”
Larry slowly takes the card from her hand. He looks at it with curiosity, but his expression suddenly changes when he reads the details.
LARRY:
“You’re getting married? Are you serious, Sharra?”
SHARRA:
“Of course! Why would I joke about something so important?”
Larry looks at the invitation again. He seems unable to believe what he is reading.
LARRY:
“Wait a minute… What is this?”
SHARRA:
“What happened? Is something wrong with the invitation?”
LARRY:
“Sharra, what exactly is this? You’re really going ahead with this wedding?”
SHARRA:
“Yes, Larry. That’s exactly what I’m telling you. I’m getting married, and I’ve already made my decision.”
Larry takes a small step backward. He looks deeply shocked by her response.
LARRY:
“But why? I never expected you to make such a decision without even discussing it with me.”
Sharra folds her arms and looks at him seriously.
SHARRA:
“Larry, I don’t understand why you’re reacting like this. This is my life, and I have the right to make my own decisions.”
Larry remains silent as Sharra continues explaining herself.
SHARRA:
“Listen, I like this arrangement much more. This is what I want for myself and my home. It’s part of the identity I’ve chosen, and I don’t see any reason to change my brand or my decisions just because someone else doesn’t agree.”
Larry stares at her in disbelief. He looks down at the invitation and struggles to process her words.
LARRY:
“So, you’ve already decided everything? There’s absolutely nothing I can say?”
SHARRA:
“Larry, please don’t make this difficult. I’ve thought about everything, and I’m happy with my decision. I want you to respect that.”
Larry suddenly places one hand against his chest. His expression changes, and he struggles to remain standing.
SHARRA:
“Larry? Are you okay?”
Larry tries to respond, but he begins losing his balance.
LARRY:
“My chest… I don’t feel…”
Before he can finish speaking, Larry suddenly collapses onto the concrete driveway. The wedding invitation slips from his hand and falls to the ground.
SHARRA:
“Larry!”
Sharra looks down at him in complete shock. She stands frozen, unable to understand what has just happened.
Suddenly, the front door of the house swings open. Bethany rushes outside after hearing the commotion. As soon as she sees Larry lying on the ground, her expression turns into panic.
BETHANY:
“Oh my God! Larry!”
Bethany runs toward him as quickly as possible and immediately kneels beside him.
BETHANY:
“Larry! Can you hear me? Please, open your eyes!”
She gently tries to get his attention, but Larry remains unresponsive. Bethany becomes increasingly worried and turns toward Sharra.
BETHANY:
“What happened to him? Why is he lying here?”
SHARRA:
“I… I don’t know. We were just talking, and suddenly he started holding his chest.”
Bethany looks at her in disbelief and notices the wedding invitation lying on the driveway.
BETHANY:
“You don’t know? How can you say that you don’t know? What were you telling him? What did you say that made him react like this?”
SHARRA:
“Bethany, listen to me. I only came here to give him my wedding invitation. I told him that I’m getting married and invited him to attend.”
Bethany becomes even more emotional as she looks at Larry.
BETHANY:
“You came here to tell him that you’re getting married? And you think this is the right way to do it?”
SHARRA:
“I didn’t force him to react this way! I simply told him the truth.”
BETHANY:
“Don’t you dare try to put the blame on anyone else! Look at him! He’s lying unconscious on the ground!”
Sharra takes a small step forward, looking increasingly nervous.
SHARRA:
“Bethany, I never wanted anything like this to happen. I swear, I didn’t know he would react this way.”
BETHANY:
“You should have thought about the consequences before coming here and saying all those things to him!”
Bethany turns her attention back to Larry. She carefully reaches for her phone to call for medical assistance.
BETHANY:
“I’m calling for medical help. He needs someone to check on him immediately.”
Sharra remains standing nearby, looking at the fallen invitation. Her excitement about the wedding has completely disappeared.
After a few moments, Sharra slowly approaches Bethany.
SHARRA:
“Bethany… Is he going to be okay?”
Bethany looks at her with anger and disappointment.
BETHANY:
“Right now, all I care about is Larry’s health. We need to make sure he’s okay.”
SHARRA:
“I really didn’t mean to hurt him. I only wanted to share my happiness with him.”
BETHANY:
“Then you should understand why this situation is so upsetting. You came here celebrating your wedding, but look at what happened after your conversation.”
Sharra lowers her eyes and looks at the invitation card again.
SHARRA:
“I never imagined things would turn out this way.”
Bethany stays beside Larry, anxiously waiting for medical assistance. The peaceful morning has now turned into a frightening and emotional situation.
